I hope you’re ready for Soul Sacrifice — the demo will be available this afternoon on PSN!
Your first reaction to the demo might be, “Holy moly, this is a LOT of demo!” …And you’d be right! The entire first chapter of the full game is included, all of which is playable with up to three other friends via online or ad-hoc multiplayer. Inafune-san made it a special point for the demo to be quite substantial, as you can read in his comments below:
Soul Sacrifice is a long adventure, with dozens of hours of gameplay. The demo is not only a great way to sample the full experience, but also to let you get a head start on that adventure before the game releases. To that end — this part is important, pay attention! — the save data will carry over to the full game! Not only that, if you do carry over demo save data to the full game, you will receive an exclusive bonus item: “Spirits’ Heart”! It summons a powerful stone golem that will fight for you!
Trying the demo and carrying over your save data is the ONLY way to get “Spirits’ Heart,” so why not give it a shot if you’re already interested in the game?
The Soul Sacrifice demo offers a single player mode AND a multi-player mode. Multi-player can be played via both ad-hoc and online, but please be aware that multi-player and all online features for the demo will be terminated and will no longer be available on April 30th, 2013. After this date, you will still be able to play the demo offline and ad-hoc. Of course, that’s not a problem, since you’ll all be picking up the full game when it launches on April 30th, right? *wink*
Don’t forget to pre-order! Not only do you get three exclusive Magic Offerings and two exclusive costumes, but you’ll also get the Japanese voice-over audio pack for free!

Why even do a big announcing for something that you know isn’t going to be working. I stand by Sony, but sometimes I think they like to get people upset just to make them smile later.

@ EstripadorMT: No. Late updates do not make me want to switch to a console that I have to pay simply to play online, when I already pay for my internet. That’s the worst form of double-dipping possible.
The only problem here is that digital content is being held up. People who went and bought Injustice from stores are not affected. Anyone without internet is not affected. In the big picture of life and gaming in general, this is a relatively minor issue. I’d go to Nintendo before I went to Microsoft.
@4703 because I stopped playing my 360, got rid of it, and don’t really like Microsoft as a company. I’m sure the next MS system will be fine, but I prefer what Sony has been doing and don’t want to support multiple consoles anymore

I don’t want multiple consoles and paying for playing online. The xBox exclusives aren’t compelling enough to pull me away. I like Sony and their exclusives and other games are ported across both. I like PS+ and all the free games and I buy games on sale on the network. Overall, Sony does a better job that MS.

@Nefentina Yeah, they only updated twitter saying that the update is delayed because of maintenance.. I guess they’re sleep right now, so they can’t even update anyone currently on anything else going on. This has happened multiple times, but it’s time it needs to be fixed.

I have my original PS3 and it hasn’t died either. Sony PS3 is reliable? Stop trolling.
You cannot just swap Vita memory card to switch PSN account on the Vita. You still have to go through a whole process of reformatting the Vita, deactivating and activating etc. Not something you will want to do often, certainly not something you can do to swap account on the fly.
It’s not the cost of playing online. It’s the principle of paying to play online twice that caused me to get rid of my xbox.
It’s after 8AM for Sony. Time to get out of bed fellas!

I hope no one is thinking “well those self entitled gamers better not be expecting an apology” over there. In the real world, being a day late for something you are supposed to do EVERY WEEK ON TIME will get you fired and replaced with someone who isn’t as incompetent.

@4732: It’s also the principle of the thing. In business, when you have a deadline and customers waiting, you are expected to make that deadline. No question. If you fail, you are help accountable. That’s how real life works from the moment they start giving you homework assignments. The fact that they consider gamers as lesser people who will put up with this treatment that is unacceptable anywhere else is even worse, and the real problem here. They just don’t care about us, and they almost go out of their way to show so at these times. It’s EXTREMELY bad business.
