I hope you’re ready for Soul Sacrifice — the demo will be available this afternoon on PSN!
Your first reaction to the demo might be, “Holy moly, this is a LOT of demo!” …And you’d be right! The entire first chapter of the full game is included, all of which is playable with up to three other friends via online or ad-hoc multiplayer. Inafune-san made it a special point for the demo to be quite substantial, as you can read in his comments below:
Soul Sacrifice is a long adventure, with dozens of hours of gameplay. The demo is not only a great way to sample the full experience, but also to let you get a head start on that adventure before the game releases. To that end — this part is important, pay attention! — the save data will carry over to the full game! Not only that, if you do carry over demo save data to the full game, you will receive an exclusive bonus item: “Spirits’ Heart”! It summons a powerful stone golem that will fight for you!
Trying the demo and carrying over your save data is the ONLY way to get “Spirits’ Heart,” so why not give it a shot if you’re already interested in the game?
The Soul Sacrifice demo offers a single player mode AND a multi-player mode. Multi-player can be played via both ad-hoc and online, but please be aware that multi-player and all online features for the demo will be terminated and will no longer be available on April 30th, 2013. After this date, you will still be able to play the demo offline and ad-hoc. Of course, that’s not a problem, since you’ll all be picking up the full game when it launches on April 30th, right? *wink*
Don’t forget to pre-order! Not only do you get three exclusive Magic Offerings and two exclusive costumes, but you’ll also get the Japanese voice-over audio pack for free!

Add me—if you like–I don’t have any PSN friends and Soul Sacrifice is the 1st game I’m buying for my new in the box Vita.

@5935 Not to mention it’s kind of annoying to navigate the store. There’s never a section that includes EVERYTHING, like new games, new prices, new deals, new avatars/themes. It’s all seperated so we have to hunt them down.
also if anyone would like to add me I have this game on preorder and only have one person to play with :( he’s my Phantasy Star Online 2 buddy (which I barely play anymore due to a new laptop and anticipation of this game)
So if it’s 5 pm PST it’ll be 9PM my time, ouch, on an average full day late. Ah well … better than a full month

Although I do think Playstation Blog Commentators are, generally, some of the most self-entitled feeling people on the planet. I feel sorry for Grace.
We as a collective bunch are spoiled, obnoxious little children. The way that most people on here have responded to this is simply immature. To “demand” the “right” that was promised to us, seriously? What rights does anyone have over sony? The problem is that while we are enforcing our right to have what we want when we want it, we are encroaching upon others rights. Nobody knows what is going on and to assume and jump to conclusions based only on the mob mentality and base instinct to attack others when we are not getting our way is foolish and immature. Sure things have gone wrong before but things happen, and sony in my opinion has done more than enough to make amends, and frankly they are not obligated to do so. I am reminded of the israelites in the old testament (exodus) and being freed from slavery and getting what they wanted. After that at the first sign of inconvenience they cried that they ought to jump ship. There are a lot of us here that are doing the same stupid thing. Threats of I’m selling my vita for a 3ds, or I’m going to go to microsoft becausethe store is not updated yet. seriously?! Grow up.

Well, this has gone on quite a long time, huh? In order to be taken seriously and professionally, you have to have some form of stability. The only thing the NA Sony Store crew is stable at is proving their incompetence. It’s like a bunch of recent college grads running the show over here. Their recent bender has made the update late.
