I hope you’re ready for Soul Sacrifice — the demo will be available this afternoon on PSN!
Your first reaction to the demo might be, “Holy moly, this is a LOT of demo!” …And you’d be right! The entire first chapter of the full game is included, all of which is playable with up to three other friends via online or ad-hoc multiplayer. Inafune-san made it a special point for the demo to be quite substantial, as you can read in his comments below:
Soul Sacrifice is a long adventure, with dozens of hours of gameplay. The demo is not only a great way to sample the full experience, but also to let you get a head start on that adventure before the game releases. To that end — this part is important, pay attention! — the save data will carry over to the full game! Not only that, if you do carry over demo save data to the full game, you will receive an exclusive bonus item: “Spirits’ Heart”! It summons a powerful stone golem that will fight for you!
Trying the demo and carrying over your save data is the ONLY way to get “Spirits’ Heart,” so why not give it a shot if you’re already interested in the game?
The Soul Sacrifice demo offers a single player mode AND a multi-player mode. Multi-player can be played via both ad-hoc and online, but please be aware that multi-player and all online features for the demo will be terminated and will no longer be available on April 30th, 2013. After this date, you will still be able to play the demo offline and ad-hoc. Of course, that’s not a problem, since you’ll all be picking up the full game when it launches on April 30th, right? *wink*
Don’t forget to pre-order! Not only do you get three exclusive Magic Offerings and two exclusive costumes, but you’ll also get the Japanese voice-over audio pack for free!

I think these vague blog posts do a good job of bringing the community together. Yeah, yeah, we’re complaining a lot but you should have been here last night. It was so much fun trying to break 4000. Meant some good people, played a really laaagy game of DOA +. Now I’m looking forward to seeing if we break 7000
By the way folks,when it hits the fan add two hours or more because the network will be so flooded you cant get it.

lame sauce. i’ve been playing the crap out of the japanese demo. its an awesome game and i hear the us demo comes out April 16th. it is now the 17th and still no demo. what is going on!?!?!? LOUD NOISES!!!!

@squirrelchaos: let me tell you something. I actually work in IT, my team releases software and its versions and or patches. The way it works is like that: we have a build that’s applied, and it’s tested over and over before the release. Built-in we have error catching mechanism. So just in case something happens we know what happened, where the error is and the fix is usually a couple of hours max. MAX. Unless… you don’t have error catching mechanism built-in then you are in deep trouble. If Sony released new version of their store, applied patches to it later, and have been doing store updates for weeks without much problem, I see no reason why the update would even fail on them. And even if it did, they should have the error displayed right in front of them, fix it as critical issue and release the update.
And to all those we whine here like we are all upset over nothing because there are bigger problems in the world and we just have entitlement issues, get over yourselves. I used to live in really bad place, but now I’m good, and you know what? I do my stuff through charities so get off. I paid for the system and it’s supposed to work. As a customer, paying customer, I have a right to complain.
Any way still no update huh.. ??

I rushed out bought the vita.. Got a memory card and game.. Payed almost a stack.. So when they promise me something .. I believe I deserve it.. Nobody told them to open their big mouths about an update .. Most of us would be doing something else right now.. Like our women.. Damn u Sony
