  • Demon Souls? Can’t freaking wait. Heard a lot of great things. Rainbow Moon Discount? Oh why couldn’t you have been last month, I would’ve had my extra 10. Oh well this week you are mine. Malicious? Nice. I like the network titles as all the others I could just buy at retail. Labyrinth Legends looks like it might be fun for a bit, definitely worth a download. Disgea 3 Broke the Vita Budget for this month I guess. Welcomed additions anyways, Though I must check up more of this Zombie Tycoon 2.

    • Just be prepared. You’re going to die. a lot. but it’s all part of the game and it’s legendary status of being one of the most rewarding games to complete.

  • @morgan why is playstation plus add ps vita to plus .ok i git a vita for that reason . but u never said any thing about plus for pspso why all the games for psp . is that whats gonna happen when ps4 comes out just give anbunch of ps3 vames … so do i call custermur sevice to get a refund .nobody wants old psp games when u saidbpsvita .ok they both play on vita but what happen to ps1 games …also how long is my realy account banned for its been 9 months come on

  • @354, looks like the cave???? Obviously you watched 3 seconds at the video only.

  • Demons souls is a pretty good game although I played it back in 2011. But really, a $39.99 PSP game for vita…$39.99!?!?!? Not only would I never download it just as i didn’t download Tekken, but seriously, who would pay such a price for a game like that? Maybe trophy support will make those older games more appealing. =/

I know everyone has their own wants but I’d like to see Castle Crashers in the rotation.

  • Though i purchased Demon’s Souls back in the day im happy for those who will more than likely rage quit as i did :) im also not a big fighting game fan but Malicious looks sweet surprised ive never heard of it beforehand! Thanks for being awesome Playstation/Morgan!

  • Wow, Malicious looks pretty incredible, especially for a $10 download only game.
Otherwise, I’m pretty meh about this months games, again. Luckily, I have Kingdom Hearts 1.5 to keep me busy for a while.

  • Demon souls, great update. The other games look good but I guess I will be bussy. Since you guys ara talking with atlus bring catherine next month.

  • So UK gets Okami and we get Demon’s Souls. I’d rather have Okami

    • noted! I’ll make sure I capture the Okami feedback from you and others when I report on this month’s announcement

  • Oh, hey, just one last thing before I go back to Skyrim: I don’t advocate for people being banned just because they’re annoying. I would prefer Zen and similar commenters to just come to their senses on their own, helped along by the rest of us, of course. I’ve seen several people banned in the last couple years and I think it should only be applied for those who are personally abusive towards other commenters or the Blog staff.

A lot of people are jackA’s sometimes, but most of us grow out of it.

  • Demon’s Souls.. man, that is still my favorite game this gen and one of my favorite games ever. From the difficulty to the controls, the settings & atmosphere and the seamless multiplayer. It was a breath of fresh air! Can’t say enough about that great game! Although I feel bad for the people new to the game, there will be a ton of rage quits when they get to the swamp level! >:)

  • Demon’s Souls is a really nice game but I already finished it a couple of times.

    I wonder why the Europe PS+ always gets more stuff. They got;

    3rd April: Okami HD
3rd April: Lord of the Rings: War in the North
    3rd April: The Cave
10th April: Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward
    24th April: Thomas Was Alone

and tons of other really cool games like MGS HD collection (would LOVE to get this one) before MGS5 pops.

I’d need more cool things like those please (like Okami, lotr, MGS, sleeping dogs, etc).

  • PS: Malicious is looking terrific! ^_^

  • (1) If you live in the US, why on earth are you caring about what EU is getting every month ? Its a whole other region and a whole other market. ….
    (2) If your not happy with what you getting, let your subscription run out and do not renew. Its that simple.
    (3) if you think your gonna pay $50 per year and get brand new released games every month, then your not as smart as the average person.
    (4) After your subscriotion runs out you can take your $50 and purchase all those games that you wanted PS+ to give you free every month. Oh wait, $50 cant even buy you 1 new retail game.oops.
    (5) And this 1 is for you, yes YOU…A consumer that pays for something, hates it, and continues to pay for that service, well lets just say that it says allot about that person.
    As always, Keep on Gaming.

  • Id like Ys oath in felgana for psp whenever you guys wanna put it on plus :)

  • @357 What I’m saying is it looks like another low budget, $10 Playstation Network game. Instead of….ya know….a BIG TITLE….we get these three mediocre smaller titles that only cost $10 to buy in the first place. Is this what I should expect every month from PS+? 1 blockbuster and 3 low-budget, kiddy-fare? Zombie Tycoon 2? REALLY? We just got The Cave and Joe Danger 2 last month….enough with these half-assed, childish romps.

Meanwhile, Europe gets numerous HUGE titles.

  • So let me get this straight,
You guys are complaining about us getting Demon Souls and rather get Okami ? ” OKAMI” Wasn’t Okami released on the ps2 ? C’Mon now people
EU is getting the Cave on 4/3 ? Didn’t we get the Cave last month already ?
Zero Escape ?? are you kidding me ??? Disgaea 3 For Vita trumps that in all its glory, and we got that just last week….Man I swear, being a gamer just aint what it used to be…….smh

  • I know people complain about getting PSP games instead of Vita ones, but I’m glad when it happens, I still quite like the PSP as a system and wish it had been supported here as well as it was in Japan. The main problem is that every single one so far that’s been free on Plus, I already own the UMD for. I console myself that maybe it’ll mean that I get to play multiplayer on these fighting games if I can find someone else. Is it possible to set up a multiplayer match between a PSP and a Vita, or do you have to have 2 of the same type of system?

Demon’s Souls is awesome, but I’ve also owned that for years, just like most of the retail releases we’ve gotten (Street Fighter 4 Arcade and Spec Ops were 2 of the only ones recently that were not completely redundant to me, though I do own vanilla SSF4 too). So mostly I’m looking forward to the lesser-known PSN releases. The European retail Plus games are even worse for me for always being something I own already, so I’m quite annoyed that so many people want the exact same things they’re getting there.

  • Hikaru_Kazushime

Happy to get Demon’s Souls, I’ve played Dark Souls but never happened upon playing Demon’s Souls. Of course I planned on checking it out some day- but now it is free! THANK YOU!

Also gw sucks? I JUST bought Malicious a week ago. >_.>
Labyrinth Legends looks so generic lol, and I could honestly care less about an old PSP Soul Calibur game.

Europe’s PS+ is still looking better! I mean Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, ME3, Sleeping Dogs, Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward and more? Makes me want to move to the UK! lol!

    Thanks again for Demon’s Souls.

    -HK

  • @369 what has EU got that we did not get that is so special ??? I can only name 4 titles for the past 1 months that US did not get. We got RE5……right., we also got SSFIV right. Vanquish was released here and so was Gotham City Imposters. Virtua Fighter 5 was released here too. and within the last 4 month alone we have gotten over 7 steller Vita titles. Uncharted, Mutant Blob, Gravity Rush, Wipeout, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Disaea 3, Plants vs Zombies and more. If thats not value for your $50 annualy, then you my friend will never be pleased.
Like I said, there are only a few standout titles that Eu has gotten that makes for a debate. Sleeping Dogs, RD Redemption, Batman AC, Mass Effect 3. everything else is a wash………..please stop the madness.

  • Does anyone over there even care about this service at all? Or is it honestly a goal to do a bad job? I wish I could strive for the mediocrity that SCEA displays each week, highlighted by the geniuses they employ as social media experts on this blog. But unfortunately I have a real job that actually demands I work and work well.

  • The games for this month looks okay. I’m more excited about the discount on rainbow moon. I do think that EU has the better content this month. What we get are good games, but I’d rather play the others.

Maybe we will have another good vita sale.

    @zendude

I think everybody knows you have a right to express your opinion, however list wars once or twice get’s your opinion know. As Morgan stated on a reply, “it sucks” doesn’t help, but a “I don’t like fighting game, I like shooters” does. I think you did help show what you liked and it was constructive, however posting the same thing more than twice isn’t nice.

  • Nice update, excited to get Demon Souls for free.

    Two suggestions:

    1. Please start updating the next month the last week of the previous month, playstation europe does this and I think its very beneficial for their members (especially their wallets for expiring sales or promotions).

    2. I love a few PSP games like the Ys series, but I just discovered trophies and even though they don’t really do anything , I think instead of getting an old PSP game it would be better to get a digital vita game or even get a psn mini game with trophies that can be played on vita.

    Thanks for your time

  • why demon souls, that game is seriously hardcore, n only hardcore gamers will want to go at it. Plus it’s quite old. anyway, will we have sales at the end of the month like last month or not? hopefully i will get a reply.

  • Only 2 that I don’t have :/ Zombie Tycoon 2 and Labyrinth Legends… but if Zombie Tycoon 2 is only for the Vita, if it is then just one… I need to get a Vita

  • Mostly games I have already, but the ones I don’t are good for me Zombie Tycoon 2 is great. I was planning on buying it anyway. Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny is nice. I’d still like to see less fighting games on PS+ though. We’ve gotten A LOT of them. So, hopefully we see more variety there since the last PSP game you gave us was… a fighting game. Which was in time with the release of a NEW fighting game on Vita. :/

It’d be nice if you’d make deals to put the old games on sale when you give out their sequel for free. I want to try Zombie Tycoon, but not at that price when the sequel is coming out soon and for free now.

  • First of all a question: Which is the best Soldner-X2 bundle to buy? The one with Soldner-X or the complete bundle?
Second, why do people do nothing but complain about what Europe gets? Honestly people, just be happy with what we’re getting. If you don’t like Plus, then don’t subscribe, and don’t comment. No one wants to hear your petty complaints, and we don’t want you around anyway!
Third, a note to Sony: Why don’t you guys simply take down that link to the Europe Blog, and don’t allow anyone based in North America access to it? It would seem that the only reason people in North America access it in the first place is to fuel their stupid complaints. It would also serve to reduce the useless clutter on the Plus update thread every week.

  • I wonder who can tell me when will the Ninja Blade Σ1 come again as I regret so much joining in ps+ too late. -_-#

  • yeeeeeeeeeessssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Demon’s Souls…………whatever website i’ve read on concerning this game mention how difficult it is(i’m not a fan of difficult and curse-inducing games)–but at least free, i’ll know that i didn’t pay for it and will feel no buyer’s remorse..(i am actually looking forward to playing this as sour as this comment started———i got a platinum on Persona 4 Golden this week, so i’m up for another Atlus game….
the other ps plus updates look good too

but my eye is one that Walking Dead sale, yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will finally own parts 3 to 5..

    good, good, good–enjoying this update

  • I think it’s probably too late for morgan to read my comment, but, i think it would really help to make a post explaining how do you get to put a game for free on ps plus, how are the games chosen, why there are games that come to the european ps plus and not the american one, and how can we help choose games we like better that could actually como to ps plus

  • Giving us subpar psn games that don’t even score 70 on meta critic is a no brainer, don’t do that. Set the bar higher so we get quality games. Also, give us psp RPG’s, not fighters back to back. Demons souls is great, got the plat on a different account. Who knows about zombie tycoon, might be good. Instead of the other two, why not these?

    Dead Space
    Deus ex
Mortal Kombat (especially instead of a psp fighter)
    Twisted Metal
    Metal Gear HD collection
    Devil May Cry HD collection
    Ratchet HD collection
    Okami HD
    Batman Arkham Asylum
    Batman Arkham City
    Battlefield 3

I could go on and on and those are older games. I have a year of plus, please, don’t pull this sort of thing anymore. There are way too many quality games to dip into instead of these filler games.

  • i’m a little disappointed with the vita content. we got two fighting games in two month and both are psp content. would have been nice if it was another vita title like mgs or rayman or any other game.. or even mortal kombat for vita where we can get trophies.. zombie tycoon seems nice.. gonna wait for next month, hopefully a better game for vita

  • Is the get 10 for very 50 dollars spent still valid? Is it going to be on until midnight or next PS Store update?

  • I have to say that I’m not too excited about this month’s update. I enjoyed Demon’s Souls years ago, but I don’t feel like reliving that torture. The only game I’m really interested in this month is (maybe) Zombie Tycoon 2. I’ll give it a shot.

I’m not going to complain too much though. Getting Spec Ops was enough to justify the 3 month + membership. I’ve had so much fun playing it online, and I generally don’t enjoy MP shooters. I’m sure we’ll get something great in May(Sleeping Dogs PLS).

  • That’s actually a really good update, but I wish we got Okami HD here :( That’s a game that everybody should play and I was hopeful to grab the HD remake via PS+.

I do appreciate the PSP game though, as I do happen to have a PSP now but no Vita.

  • Damn I bought soul calibur when it was on sale for $19.99, now it´s free T_T, well at least I can keep it if I stop paying plus, but I don`t think that is gonna happen in a long time lol. nice update, I have Demon`s souls but I can sell my physical copy. Now I^d like rainbow moon and the walking dead, but we got 2 episodes from PS+ so better is to boy the last 3 individually , $9, no sense buying the season pass

  • Wow, Demon’s Souls!! Even though EU itself has a good catalogue, this one game makes me envy US. Hope it is available sometime for EU too. Great game, didn’t finish and sold it, would love to pick it up again any time.

  • So just to review…

For months people complained that there were no RPGs in the IGC, that we were getting unfairly inundated with shooters and fighters. Then when RPGs started to show up for the Vita, people complained that they weren’t on PS3.

Morgan said he was delivering feedback, but that it takes time to show up in the program. People accused him of feeding us PR BS.

So here we are today…not only did they deliver a PS3 RPG but an exclusive, highly rated RPG. And yet the torrent of complaints continues. The biggest being that we didn’t get other games such as Crysis 2, Sleeping Dogs, Dead Space 2, ME3, or Deus Ex:HR – all outright shooters or games with significant shooting components…or titles like Mortal Kombat and DOA5 – both of which are fighting games.

    Is this right?

Also, old games are automatically a poor choice…At the same time however, it’s not fair that the EU PS+ got RDR along with HD versions of last gen titles like Metal Gear Solid and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath. Correct?

  • Demon’s Souls!

    The Dark Souls for kids!

Wish this would have popped up a few months ago and saved me twenty bucks. Far too easy of a game with less polish for what I was expecting after Dark.

  • ETA on Ps Vita Soul Sacrifice USA Demo Plz Plz

  • I’m not saying I wouldn’t like some of the titles that have released in the EU. But some of the people in here are lodging contradictory complaints.

Sure there are titles that have been released in the EU that I’d like to see in NA – Okami HD and Lumines come to mind – but enough with the “you’re not trying” nonsense. Genre diversity is up, monthly updates are happening, there was even DLC on sale last week. Clearly they are trying to improve the service.

Anyway, PS+ Team please continue to bring down Ultimate Edition sales! They seem to be happening more lately and that’s great. However, please post when all sales will end. Earlier in the year Ubisoft had an Ultimate Edition sale and there was no listed expiry date. It was on for only a week and I missed out on buying 4 Ultimate Editions I wanted.

If another diverse Ultimate Edition sale is coming up (rather than the publisher specific ones that have been on lately) could you try and convince Ubisoft a to include their UEs in it?

  • This update is awesome. I can’t believe the complaining going on; you kids have no taste (simply have to be kids… the whining and crapflooding of repeat posts had better be from juveniles, if not that is downright pathetic). More importantly, the childish destructive criticism doesn’t do anything useful. If you want to be taken seriously and potentially affect some change, be constructive. And stop the flooding; that is very childish and most places grounds for banning.

As for EU’s supposedly better lineup this month… Find a new thing to complain about, that holds no water this month. EU is getting Okami as their big title this month, an HD update of a very good, if somewhat overrated title from LAST GEN. If you didn’t play it LAST GEN, that’s on you. Instead, we get Demon’s Souls, one of the finest games ever made, and a perfect match for Plus because of its one-of-a-kind multiplayer. A brilliant addition to Plus NA.

I can’t wait to play Demon’s Souls again; it will be awesome to have an influx of players, new and returning.

Also really looking forward trying Malicious especially, but the other games too, and very glad to see Walking Dead on sale again, as I missed the sale last time due to illness.

  • Demon’s Souls as a pedigree and Malicious from an aesthetic point have been on my radar for some time, this token PSP fighter is at least exclusive to the platform (unlike Tekken 6 and its PS3 counterpart), Labyrinth Legends looks at least visually pleasing, and Zombie Tycoon’s shift from the minis original to a full-blow PSN/PSV release gives it a benefit of the doubt.

Tomorrow’s discounts all have some place on my radar, as well. Already have The Walking Dead, which I’m glad is at least not less than what I’d paid a month ago.

Compared to EU, my radar remains for Okami, Zero Escape, and Thomas Was Alone, but the latter two can take their time (still holding out on a Vita, especially with those memory cards’ prices). This’ll be a fine month for North America.

  • @389 aori29b – There’s a dynamic theme with the season pass, if that’s your kind of thing. I don’t know if it’s available to those who buy the individual episodes (or even separately).

  • Absolutely loving this update! These are ALL games I haven’t played yet. I have put around 500 hours total into Dark Souls so I’m curious to see how Demon’s Souls is. I also have some feedback. No more PSP fighting games! That is all.

  • I don’t always comment because signing in is a pain, but I’m disappointed. I thought Plus owners get more than 1 PS3 retail games, why just 1? Also a very very old game at it, doesn’t help I platinumed Demon’s souls long time ago :(

  • These look like some great free games to add to my large collection of ps+ games. Also I really enjoy getting free psp games and not just vita games. There is a lot of rpg games for psp I would love to see make it into the IGC.

  • But I already own Demon’s Souls and Malicious :(

  • @honkayjeezus, Dark Souls is a vapid shell of a game compared to Demon’s Souls. They have the same game mechanics, so of course Demon’s was easier after having mastered Dark. Not being a bandwagoner, I played Demon’s first, and when I played Dark, I had the reverse experience as you. Except whereas Demon’s was completely original, Dark was an attempted cash-in, dropping the Sony-owned trademarks and story to go multi-platform, a slap in the face to Atlas and the Playstation gamers who saw the genius of the first one and made it a success, failing to deliver the same epic feel of the boss fights, and in the process losing its Soul.

And as karma would demand, Dark Souls sold fewer copies despite being multi-platform.

  • i cant stress enough how much i am so happy with my Plus account, i have been wanting to try out demon souls but at the same time was unsure of me going on with it after a few mins of playing, this sealed it for me to grab it as a Plus account subscriber, and the other games and the discounts, really Plus has paid off for me since i have joined day one.

    Thank you Sony.

  • If we get Rainbow Moon now on PS3, will we be able to download it on the Vita as cross buy?
