  • Great update but I already have PvZ for Vita.. oh well. I hope we hear news about PvZ2 sometime soon!

  • Another great plus update for me. Last week I got Vanquish and Mega Man X. Now, PvZ. Wow. Just… Wow.

Also, there are several discounts I love. At least I’ll get Stardust Delta and Retro Grade.

And also, $10 extra for my wallet? Man, I’m really in love with playstation right now. Passionately, even.

  • WOW those discounts are HUGE!!! All games get like 50% discount for PS+ subscribers!! Now that’s awesome, time to get Battle Royale and ModNation Racers ;)

  • nice update cant see why people are complaining

  • another fail update.

    PS- strikes again.

European PS+ has been killing it lately. Sleeping Dogs, Mass Effect 3, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, etc. Only good game we get is Vanquish, which Europe already got like 6 months ago :(

  • just bought stardust complete yesterday. FUUUUUUUUUUUU-

  • Don’t forget Europe got:

    Deus Ex Human Revolution
    Dead Space 2
    Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD

    We still haven’t gotten those.

  • Will the PS3 version of Playstation All-stars also be Discounted?

  • First you guys completely say f me by skipping me for the $10 credit even though I have had a ps3 since 2006, and have bought and played countless games on it since then. To hear people who have just gotten a PS3 and never signed up for Plus have gotten it, that sucks man. May be petty but that sucks, especially considering I’ve stuck it out with you guys from the rough start.

Then my NA plus subscription get shat on my the EU one. Sorry, I don’t have a Vita so this is useless, and these past couple of months have been disappointing. Not only am I not going to renew it, I’m thinking about skipping the next PS all together and explore other options. This is not how you treat your true loyal fans. Never thought I would see the day Sony treats their fans like MS does.

  • Nice!! I was very interested in Escape Plan, purchasing it right now.

  • If American PLUS doesn’t get any of the following games in march:

    -Sleeping Dogs
    -Mass Effect 3
    -Dead Or Alive 5

Then you can count me out, because i won’t re suscribe to this entirely sub par service.

  • @GTABluekid

That $10 promotion should never have been distributed without defining what “loyal” means. A lot of early adopters of the system are scratching their heads right now. I was excluded as well, although I’ve spent upwards of $800 in the PSN store within the last 12 months alone. Simply listing the criteria for getting the voucher, or calling it something besides the “loyalty program” would have gone a long way. Yes, it’s only 10 bucks, but it’s the principle.

  • Please answer me

look i have a ps+ user but im not from usa and icant buy with my visa games fron the usa store.
at first i open account at pcgamescard but now im cant open.
    you can help me??

  • oh god dammit, of all games to be free it had to be this, i just bought it yesterday, you guys really need to start laying out the god damn plan a month in advance or something.. give us some damn notice..

  • Sony USA is really mocking Plus subscribers. Plants Vs. Zombies is free on iOS App Store this week too, so what a coincidence. And all the good games from the Vita Anniversary Europe sale was cut off from the US promotion. BlazBlue, Rayman, Ridge Racer and SFxTekken were some of the games which “desapeared” when the promotion hit the US. Sony is joking and Morgan probably likes to see this kind of comments week after week. Gladly most of my gaming is now on Steam, and I plan not to come back. I’m leaving the ship before it wrecks and this is the sign. Funny thing I already got God Of War: Ascencion in a bargain bin pre-order with 40% off. This really says a lot.

PS Plus, thanks for nothing. You can keep the change.

  • Morgan, what was the criteria for tha mysterious 10$ credit giveaway last week? Sony said that was a prize for loyal clients and users, but i’m a network member since 2008 or 2009, have bought a LOT of BD games and digital stuff from the network (you can see it on my trophy feed) and i was quite dissapointed for knowing that sony doesn’t think i’m a ‘loyal’ user. I just wanna know what happened last week! Thanks

  • Just here to say SO glad I dont invest in PS+

  • Ouch. No vita here, so nothing this week, boo im kind of dismayed :/.

I’d like to add my voice to the chorus about the substantial difference in content between na and eu ps+. While i have been happy with what ps+ offers, this huge difference between regions is hard to ignore. The last few months of na+ have been kind of weak compared to my first few months, and after hearing what eu has been getting and is going to get, i may bite the bullet and get a membership there and ride this one out. No offence to you morgan, while i know you support na ps+ and it’s been nice, they are offering the better ps+ in eu. So as of march i’ll be seriously looking to acquire uk psn cards for the purpose of getting their ps+. Still, i’m rooting for you guys to pull out of this slump.

Anyway i had quesions about the ps+ service:

When ps4 comes out will ps3 still continue to have free games for ps+ members? Will ps+ memberships continue over to the PS4? will ps+ membership start providing free ps4 content? Is there a place for Q/A about the ps+ subscription and how it’s going to work as it carries over to ps4? Will they be re-considering their position of no ps3 DLC to be playable on PS4?

  • Thanks Morgan for all the work, keep going!!!

  • @TitoVarela07 (421)

You don’t know what you’re talking about. The PS4 can’t play PS3 games because its architecture is so different. Why would you expect downloadable games to work if discs don’t? It’s the same thing. PSN games are made to work on the PS3’s hardware. There’s a reason Netflix will need to make a new app for the PS4 instead of keeping or updating its old one.

    @ZenTripleFour (424)

Listen to your own advice. You keep spamming the same wrong information. It takes 5 seconds of research to get it right.

    @detectiveconan

That’s some interesting, and highly flawed, math. Most people would rather have EU PS+. You gave QC a $0 value because you already have it through NA Plus. That doesn’t make any sense. Sleeping Dogs can’t be worth $0 if you’ve never played it. You’re grasping at straws. Anyway, I think EU is miles ahead, but the whining here is too bad.

  • Glad to hear the 12 + 3 months deal will be good for another week. Needless to say, with a little cash I have on the side at the moment, I’ll be stacking 4 renewals (5 years total) to my account later this week. It’s been awhile since we had a Plus promo like this, so I’m taking advantage of it while the opportunity is available. Besides, who knows how useful the subscription is going to be a few years down the road! Been a member since the hour Plus went live, and haven’t regretted it since.

  • Plus is slacking a bit.
The games we have gotten currently are good but really? All well you get what you pay for..
anyways Thanks for the update on Plus… Now we can wait for the Store to update at 11pm or midnight for the East cost. Soooo See ya Tomorrow PSN Store

  • To be honest, most of the free games I have downloaded and tried, but I have not really found one that I would have bought, or will pay to the finish. However, I have been using the sells to pick up many titles, and the saving have more than paid for my plus. I got unit 13 last sale, and I recommend it. Please keep the sales coming in the future.

  • I need a X-Box 360… ¬¬

  • @Motherboop

5 years is a long time. NA PS+ has this deal every year, with the exception of 2012. I recommend buying 2 years at most.

  • Horrible!

  • @digodacaserna

LOL. You must be joking. XD

Let’s see how many games will Xbox users get for the month of March. My guess: zero.

The only thing that can compete with PS+ is a PS+ from another region.

  • I recommend buying 1 month at most, just so you can experience firsthand how subpar this service is here in North America.

  • I’m kinda confused as to why people keep posting last February’s updates. Last Feb. we got Far Cry 2(Full Game), The Simpsons(PSN), Final Fantasy 5(PSOne) and a bunch of classic sega games that have been offered numerous times since Playstation Plus began. This year we get Vanquish(Full Game), Closure(PSN), Mega Man(VITA), Guardians of Middle Earth(PSN) and Plants vs Zombies(Vita). That’s 2 free psn games, 2 free vita games AND 1 full PS3 game. I don’t see what there is to complain about?

  • Why does EU store keep getting such amazing titles week after week and we get stuff like this?

  • I have a suggestion for a game to be added to the instant game collection:

Dante’s Inferno. It would be perfect. It’s an older game, but a blu ray release. It has been marked down in price since it was released and it would appeal to many people since it is similar to God of War, and we all know how well those games are received.

  • After a surprisingly good week last week with Vanquish I was hoping US Plus MAYBE was on its way up again after a long slump, and now we get PvZ for Vita, really??

Add insult to injury when the only quality game for the month for us US customers was available in the EU region months ago, and then you see all the good stuff EU is getting for March with Mass effect 3 & Joe Danger 2: The Movie, and sadly know that we probably won’t get any of them, maybe if we’re “lucky” we’ll get F1 Race Stars as our “big game” for March… sigh.

  • Why is everyone complaining week after week about EU’s better ps plus? So buy EU ps plus or quit whining. I have both and I’m glad its not the same games. .

  • Dang, these are multiplying faster than I can keep up. Morgan is right. LOTR trumps the other 2. Matrix was mind-bendingly original and awesome. The next 2 went straight downhill.

  • Kind of Weak, no it is WEAK!!! On a normal week this would be weak, but to associate this being a Great Sale with the one year anniversary of the PS Vita just puts it on a different level of weak update. It should have been another 10% cross the board for everyone. Although I am disappointed, I do appreciate the effort in these Hard Times. Thanks Sony, lets try and do better for the PS Vita’s 2nd Anniversary.

  • Also I want to say that I am a HUGE fan of plus. Yes, Europe sometimes gets “better” games, but if it’s a game I really want I’ll just buy it, because that what you’re supposed to do when really you want something. :)

  • @Morgan. Ok let me try to be respectful with this even though I am quite pissed. First off, where is my $10 credit for being a TRUE loyal playstation guy? I just dropped a bunch of money in the PSN store and also bought a PS Vita, while a guy that hardly ever spends money on anything in the store and hasn’t had his system that long received one. 2ndly, I purchased a YEAR subscription to PS+ only to constantly be dissapointed with what we get. It started off good with InFamous (1 and 2) and a few others. Then us here in NA get games for children while EU get’s better titles. How about giving us a bone? Arkham City, Sleeping Dogs, and Mortal Kombat are long overdue to be ours. Does Sony even give a damn about us NA consumers or not? I think it’s about time they showed it.

  • can someone explain to me how hot shots golf… a sony game is 10-20$ in stores. but 35$ on the psn?

  • Not to be rude i think this update was crap. If im going to keep my PS PLUS I need better games, the reason i got PS PLUS is to play good games and these are not good games. I will be happy if you add a good ps3 game like:

    Sleeping dogs

    Mass effect 3

or a god of war game

    THANKS :))))))))))

  • Yeah, I’m not going to lie… this update feels abusive. Feels like sony is reeeeeaaally trying to boost vita sales. Metal gear solid or Mass effect would’ve been cherry :/

  • I thought Morgan had said in the past that Free Vita games wouldn’t take away from PS3 freebies, but it seems like we should have had another PS3 game changed out by now. I suppose I could be wrong on this.

Anyway, I don’t want to be too negative about Plus, I’ve been subbed since the beginning and love it for the 1GB of cloud saves and “free” games, but I can see why there is not much love for Plants Vs Zombies.
It’s been given away free on nearly every platform and could be considered “freeware” by now.

It was give away free for the PS3 last year on Plus

Then Popcap gave it away free to anyone who wanted the PC version for a Halloween Promo which is posted the codes for publicly.

Then it was given away free on iOS App Store to everyone. In fact it’s still free on iOS.

And now we have the Vita version… It’s hard to be excited about a 4 year old game that has already been offered freely so much now.

  • I would’ve been happy if only plants vs zombies ps3 version was included

Not flawed math. Just from my personal perspective as opposed to being completely objective. I agree most people probably would prefer EU’s Plus. The most vocal group here on the blog certainly would, But the most vocal subscribers do not necessarily represent the majority,They probably do but they might not.

I put Sleeping Dogs at $0 cash value because that’s is how much I would pay to acquire it and how much I would save if it were to be add to the IGC.

  • Morgan,

If you want to help the decision makers understand why NA subscribers insist on complaining endlessly about the disparity between them and EU plus subscribers you should all take a look at this brief video. It is a famous experiment regarding how we evaluate whether a transaction is fair by comparing it to what others are receiving for the same currency. It is very funny and very accurate. The experiment has been replicated with many different animals and they along with humans are guaranteed to get very upset with they perceive that they are not getting as good deal as someone else. The link to the EU site is on the masthead. What exactly did you think would happen when people viewed the two sites?

  • I understand that different regions have different publishers and the same deals can’t be struck as in europe for plus, but this is what we get? I hope this isn’t indicatve of plans to phase out the ps3 already. I get that vita is instrumental in future plans for the company but I hope playstation plus doesn’t become a platform that solely encourages everyone to buy one. Excuse the rant, I just had high hopes for this month and a reason to rush out and get my subscription replaced.

  • Hi Morgan,

Just wanted to mention that the risk with the way people are voting on the Gamer’s Choice Awards is that they may pick games that they don’t have, since the winning games will go on sale. This is not a sure way of identifying the best games – 2nd best are more likely to be picked…

  • When will people learn? They keep blaming PS+ and Sony and poor Mr. Haro that the updates suck for NA users. They compare it to EU and say we should get that. You SHOULD be yelling at the publishers. Its THEM who decide if they will allow a title to be posted as free on PSN. Its THEM who decide NOT to let us NA users have certain items. The fact that Sony has ANYTHING for free is proof they go the extra mile for us. Seriously. As an XBOX user as well, let me tell you what I have gotten for free from my monthly Live service. NOTHING. For 8 years. PS+ has ALWAYS been the best value. Wanna rant, rant to the publishers and developers for not giving us the love. Sony is already doing their part.

  • For those wondering about the criteria for the $10 loyalty credit… my brother received it and he doesn’t spend a lot on PSN at all, so that’s not it. I would be surprised if he spends more than $20 per year on PSN and the last time he bought something from there was probably Summer last year.

Not a PS Plus user. He had a 3 month sub June last year, though.
    Not a Vita owner.
He has about 23 or so disc based PS3 games but almost never buys them at full $50-$60 price.
Plays maybe 5-10 hours per week.

Calling it a loyalty voucher seems wrong. Some people are far more loyal than my bro and have spent so much more and didn’t receive it. They can give the credit to who ever they want but shouldn’t call it a loyalty voucher. More like a random drawing.

  • Anybody else sick of seeing PSN Plus updates giving you ONLY vita games? When I got Plus I didn’t own a Vita, and 6 months in, I still don’t own one, with ZERO plans to get one.. So why must I share my Plus updates with Vita games?

  • can anyone tell when sigma plus 2 will be in the ps store?
    thx
