  • In order to make it up to fans that for months LBP Karting hasn’t worked AS ADVERTISED!!! With no ability to use our costumes from the rest of the LBP games, will there be any upcomming discounts on the many LBP cotumes packs if the Karting game ever allows us to use them?

I’ll definately be using my old costumes, but I’m so unhappy with your treatment of LBP Karting and it’s/your fans, I can’t see myself spending another 5$+ on one of your DLC packs.

  • Hey! I just published my new level! its name is ”Call me a Sackspaceman” Check it out!

  • Still no news on the DLC costumes patch? We have been in the dark since December…this is no way to treat your fans. LBP Karting should have had this feature upon release or at least shortly after. I’m a huge MNR and LBP fan, but the lack of support for this game makes me regret my purchase.

  • I also am really disappointed that we are still not able to use our DLC costumes we bought in LBPK, Last info we got was that a patch was being worked on and I do understand there are a lot of costumes that would need to be transferred over but this lack of any info does not give me much hope for future LBPK support…… Please at least give us some news on the matter!

  • I also, would like to know when we can use all of our LBP content in LBP Karting. I have enjoyed the game alot but, now I want to be able to use what I already bought. So, can we please get an E.T.A on this from someone at MM?

  • Chinese New Year– too cute to miss these, thanks.

  • gorgeous Chinese NY costume set ! wow …. really looking fwd. to getting them … the hat for the male figure is just great … thanks ! very exciting.

  • Hey Media Molecule, wake up… you fell asleep a while ago right before you released 2 major games. Stop working on tearaway… and start supporting the games you already released (sponsored) with the promised content advertised.

LBP Vita needs dlc… it’s a baren wasteland sitting as an icon on my vita at this point. Where’s the extra arcade games?

LBP karting has NO support at all… where in the hell did that entire studio go?!?!?! The dlc still doesn’t transfer, the bugs are all over, the online is broken as can be, and it’s an embarassing blemish on the name of LBP!!!!

LBP2 cross controller dlc just straight up never even worked…. i don’t even know what you can do to fix that disaster… that’s more Sony’s fault than your own because the vita doesn’t seem to know how to do anything it’s advertised to do.

  • StevenI you’re still doing a great job though, keep it up! Love seeing these little updates every week. I just wish your company had more for you to show us -_-

  • @8: Neither of those games are MM’s. Not sure id they made cross controller or not.

Tearaway is being made by 15 people at MM last time I heard. Not the entire studio.

  • Just so everyone knows, they’re in the process of finalizing the LBPK update so HOPEFULLY we should get some news soon. It does suck waiting but hey, at least we know that it’s being worked on…

I’m just taking a wild guess, but the only replies you’ll get will have the words ‘soon’, ‘should’ and ‘hopefully’ until they’re ready to give concrete information. I’m frustrated as well but I’m just going to save my breath for now.

And agreed with @Nick930930 on the LBPV DLC! I need something to get me back into the game since I’m not a big fan of community levels.

    • Oh, I’m sure that I could dig a few more choice words out of my thesaurus. ;)

In all seriousness though, this content is definitely on the way and will be included in an upcoming Game Update that brings a variety of other changes and fixes to LittleBigPlanet Karting that we’re confident will improve the gameplay and online experience for all our dedicated Karting fans!

We’re pushing to get this release out and once we have the full contents of this Game Update pinned down, you’ll be sure to hear from us about what changes this Game Update will bring.

So please be rest assured when I say that this content is coming “interfrastically”. :)

  • Ha, yeah… It does appear to borrow heavily from a CTR track, but it’s still an original one. Naughty Dog really knows how to craft a fine racer.

  • @11: But the thing is we don’t know if they’re even working on it. They only promised details “soon” and since then we have heard nothing. Don’t get me wrong, I understand what you’re saying, but it’s premature to say they’re “finalizing” something that they might not even be working on yet. It’s not so much the wait, but lack of info regarding this issue.

    • We’re definitely working on getting this Game Update finalised, the main reason for the delay is due to the inclusion of a number of other changes and fixes that should hopefully improve things for everybody. :)

  • Just wondering does LBP Karting let u play on 2 profiles one the same PS3 like LBP did?

  • Is there anyway I can contact you personaly?

  • yes to 14…lbp karting lets u play on multi accounts.

I cant believe they dont have lbp karting patched yet, i got the game when it was on sale a few weeks ago and all i get is crashing, cant do anything without sytem locking up. and whats the hold on on our cross over costumes? i dont like to complane but this is really sad.

  • The costume DLC would not be a big deal for me if it wasn’t being advertised as a feature still. Even the groundhog day DLC said in the description that it’s compatible with Karting, when it clearly is not.

I really hope it works out, because MM are going to look foolish if they come out and say “Sorry, we couldn’t get it to work”. Even if they had nothing to do with the game, they need to protect their IP. If the game didn’t sell well, they may be having problems putting any money into it to fix it, which would be a shame.

Although, LBP 1 and 2 released with some problems, and it was a while becore we saw a steady stream of DLC or support for the games, so maybe this is just par.

    • Once the Game Update containing the Cross-Buy functionality has been released, our previous Costume DLC including the Groundhog Day Costume will be compatible with LittleBigPlanet Karting.

  • @#10

    Read carefully…

“start supporting the games you already released (sponsored) with the promised content advertised.”

I know Mm didn’t create LBPKarting or LBPVita… but they sponsored it and it is their IP. They own full rights to it and can authorize the developers behind the titles to do things if they’re not being done correctly.. which no, they are not being done correctly. I feel like LBPKarting was just flushed out into the public as fast as possible and the entire developmental studio ran for cover to avoid the complaints. Those sandbags aren’t going to protect you forever United Front!!!!!!!!!

  • it would seem that the admins are ignoring the mass voices of desent. with all due respect this is a part of why I am falling away from sony. I know it’s not all their fault and I don’t lay the blame squarely at sony’s feet but this tends to be their business models. just as Cyndi Lauper.

that said at this point I don’t care. they said to look for big things for Karting in January including a new kart pack. neither the costumes, nore the big things nore the kart pack have materialized.

I would wish sony would realize they are bleeding money. I wish they would realize that it isn’t just little o’l me they are losing as a customer. the ps4 may be big for a while but I honestly doubt they will be able to back a ps5.

but go ahead sony and united front. treat us like we aren’t here. treat us like we don’t matter. see where that gets you.

    • The first Karts Pack and some suitably themed Costumes are due in a couple of weeks, more news coming on those soon! :)

  • Waah! I’m a self entitled brat. give me what I want, I don’t care if its done or not.
    Sincerely, the LBPK community

seriously guys calm down. when its done, its done. I had LBPV preordered for over a year and didn’t complain once. There are hundreds of costume for UFG to destroy with their atrocious textures and strip all the cool features off of(if you noticed the LBP2 items e.g. scarlet hair, trailblazer shoes). give ’em time, jeez. yes its been a long time already, but if you can do it faster, then hack your game and show it off. otherwise, calm down. complaints don’t speed things up, its a fact. every LBP article turns into a complain fest filled with accusations of not caring and hollow threats to stop purchasing their adorably irresistible costume pack.

P.S. my X-controller works flawlessly, always has. please stop saying it doesn’t, or at least specify “for me” so people who don’t have it yet don’t deprive themselves in fear.

rant complete, I love LBP, cant wait for LBP3 on PS4.

  • To my question on number 14. I meant how do u play split screen with two different profiles on the same PS3. Like you used to be able to just connect the second controller and select the account on LBP. Is it different for Karting?

  • @20 : Complaining don’t speed things up, but we have to. We bought this game months ago and it’s NOT finished (and it’s ugly too, you said it ), and we should be quiet ? Come on. I think it’s important to show Sony and UFG how dissatisfied we are. And again, waiting is not the problem, the problem is that we have no news at all.

  • for me, every response from Steven is an affirmation of my hopes. When I see that red text box it fills me with glee. “Yay! a response! I knew they cared, I knew they weren’t just sitting on their thumbs” I’m content to wait a few weeks. Even longer if need be. I’m looking forward to a bigger, better more diverse karting experience. No matter when it comes…

    • Sitting on our thumbs?
      Why would we!?

I’m dying to give my Sackboy his Crown and Buster Sword in LittleBigPlanet Karting! ;)

  • @Jae775. No, you can’t. It’s another of the complaints. You only play as, for example, Jae775 and Jae775[1] (and so on, if you have three or four controllers).

Hey, Steve. Another fix must be when they display your results in the story races. It is kind of annoying that each time you replay, they show you what you’ve already got, and with prize bubbles is a pain, because they don’t show you what percentage you caught on that very play, but every time they begin with 0%.

  • StevenI how can I contact you personaly? I sent you a message on psn, but no repsonse. Oh and thanks for the updates. I’m pretty happy you picked the long lost lights of spectrum cavern too. It was a truely deserving pick. I spent an hour truing to figure out the circle puzzle until I just gave up and lost 500points.

  • I hope you guys have an opportunity to race on my To Clive, With Love track from LBPK. I put a lot of work into it and completed it after lots of frustration. I’m pretty happy with my Clive Handforth dedication track, and so far, it has received really great reviews from those who played it! That said, I felt like promoting it a bit. If you love Clive, you’ll love the track. :P
