  • Definitely not renewing my subscription.
Maybe I will sub to UE plus, maybe.

  • EU recieves monthly updates

    US recieves Weekly updates

All the people complaining for Sleeping Dogs should go and buy a PS EU + account or wait for the next 3 weeks of content in the US for this month.

  • WOW! Everyone cries like a spoiled lil brat when Sony has an off week of mediocre games for PS+.

They can’t be offering blockbusters every single week.

Just last week was awesome, everyone was praising it back then. Crazy how quickly people turn. The price and value overall for PS+ has given me great games and discounted prices on games that would have otherwise cost me a fortune! Get a grip guys and get real.

  • @joegoodsnake I did answer you, he said sony forced him to buy a subscription i took issue with that because I chose too. Just like you chose to take issue with me and write a paragraph of dribble i don’t care to read. Good day.

  • Who ever is in charge with PS+ US needs to get fired and replaced with who ever is in charge of PS+ EU . . .

  • @ Dregin

Yea, figure as much, but I thought I’d try putting it into perspective for him. either way, he now knows how to change his region type if he wants an EU account so badly….I just hope he then doesn’t complain about how NA PSN cards wont work for his EU account lol

  • @Alenth26

EU receives monthly updates on their PS Blog, but their PS Plus gets upgraded throughout the month, as the monthly updates show. Looking at the actual updates hows this:

Entering the Plus Service in February:
    6th February: Sleeping Dogs
    6th February: Quantum Conundrum
    6th February: F1 Race Stars
    13th February: WipEout 2048
    20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony

So value should still be equal on all fronts, regardless of how often the blog updates.

  • Love PS+ and supprting Sony but I am not interested in anything in this update. Thanks anyways. I preordered Dead Space 3 for tomorrow though!!

  • @Dregin

I suppose you actually cannot read since I never mentioned sab_krit nor defended him. I was speaking in general, and furthermore, since you have no arguments you don’t seem to want to continue.

I guess you don’t contest that you are a troll then since you don’t seem to be able to rationally defend your strange convictions.

  • It’s getting ridiculous now. I used to be able to convince people I know that PS Plus was a great deal but it’s been nearly three months since there’s been a game added I actually want to play. It’s completely gone downhill since the summer.

  • 152 what are you talking about?? Is football that big hit you’re talking about? Or maybe 2010’s darksiders? There hasn’t been a week that I haven’t called a “bad week” in probably 8 months. Everybody else, quit giving Sony that hj, they don’t deserve it

  • Foosball* autocorrect

  • Awesome GOME! Thanks guys keep it up

  • @joegoodsnake congrats you win. here’s your cookie. I can read just fine I just choose not to because this is the internet nothing you say actually matters lol

  • @Joegoodsnake

But unless you wait until the end of the month you don’t know what the US are offering for Feb so you can’t really compare US Feb + to EU Feb + until then.

  • yes i’m a troll! do you feel better joegoodsnake! does this allow you to continue your own personal day and sleep at night? I can only hope so.

  • Ugh Morgan. Another lame week. I’m not interested in any of these games. Please tell me next week will be a full PS3 game.

  • PS4 plus? ;-)

  • @sab_krit

you do know that playstation plus originally started out only giving away free playstation one classics, free avatars, free themes, and early beta access while also offering features such as cloud storage and automatic updates?. Before the addition of the instant game collection it was worth more than the $50 you pay to subscribe.

Apart from you and others complaining every week on the playstation blog everyone else seems pretty satisfied with their subscriptions

  • Honestly, what is the point of the polls? It seems like the comments are pretty unhappy every week and there’s been no change that I’ve seen.

  • @DaGimp13

No try changing you account address before giving suggestions. You can create a new account but cannot change the region of the existing account.

  • @casual_pilot

Generally speaking the first week of every month is the “big” update. That may not be the case this week, but the fact that this isn’t the first time Sony has screwed NA subscribers is a sure sign that this month will be a failure. Last month, due to the load of complaints they got for NBA Jam, they stepped up their game and offered a second retail game for the month, which as far as I’ve been a member is unprecedented.

I was very happy with this, since it meant that Sony actually attempted to appease the complaining masses. However, if they put out a crap game again its your duty as a subscriber to ask to at least get an update that is comparable to that week’s update in EU. Why? Because your investment is nearly the same, so your value received should also be nearly the same.

  • Seems like Plus members do not buy games to play at all… Tbh the europe store lineup isn’t that great to me, just look at this month’s offering:

6th February: Sleeping Dogs (owned and played the hell out already)
6th February: Quantum Conundrum (PS Plus free game from US store months ago)
6th February: F1 Race Stars (not interested)
13th February: WipEout 2048 (PS Plus free game back in Dec)
20th February: Lumines Electronic Symphony (now this would be nice to have)

Not really sure why everyone is whining.

  • This update is actually quite good for me.
Two Cross Buy titles with 40% discount, I will be getting both. (Luv my Vita)

On a side note however, the gap in value between PS+ NA and PS+ EU is getting bigger and remaining quite consistant in its growth and Sony needs to address it, quickly. I have friends and even some family that were PS+ subscribers that have allowed their subscriptions to lapse and wont renew because they feel the gap is just to big to be ignored.

Personally, I’m a PS+ subscriber not for the freebies (since I generally own whatever happens to be offered other than the odd title which is something I would not have purchased in the first place) but for the discounts…as long as I save at least what I’m paying into PS+ I’ll always be a happy customer, which for me is not hard since I buy quite a bit…

But as a running tally, Sony, you really need to address the values overall, my friends/family situation can not be isolated, for you to retain one subscriber out of nearly two dozen that were subscribers only a year ago, it does not take a market study to see there is a problem.

  • @Gigidy17

Yep thats y I didn’t subscribe for plus by then. I subscribed when all the blogs screamed CRYSIS 2 coming to plus subscribers for free. To be honest, I should have researched abt this a lot bfore hastily subscribing for plus, now I am stuck with this one year plan and when I let this subscription run away I would definitely regret my haste decision. PLUS as a subscription is g8t but US plus’s execution would hv been g8t if EU plus kept their updates private.

  • Fantastic! Was wanting to try GoME. This is why I love PSPLUS. I get games I wouldn’t try otherwise. Can’t wait to see what the next few weeks hold. If I was a guessing man, I would bet another THQ game since they went under. Saints Row 3 anyone? Please no Sleeping Dogs! Game was fun but crazy short for an open world game. Once you beat it, there isn’t anything to do. :D

WHAT?! NO KINGDOM HEARTS!?? Oh……sorry….that belongs on The Drop. :D :D :D

  • I would love a discount on ultimate marvel vs capcom 3 for vita.

  • Dead Space 3 @ midnight! i cant wait!! :)

  • Discount games are Terrible
    Free game is terrible.

I hate Lord Of The Rings.

Come on now if not a good free game, try to give us good discounts on good PSN or PS3 games.

Wasting updates throwing garbage at us.

  • @JoeGoodsnake

the answer is conversion rates….EU pays 49.99 EUR, and we pay 49.99 USD, however, when you convert the 49.99 EUR to USD, it’s 67.71 EUR they’re actually paying. they pay more, so technically they should receive a little more in content. aside from that, you listed off “good” games that the EU PS+ will be getting shortly….2 of those games have been released in NA PS + recently, like WipEout 2048 and Quantum Conundrum…so its clearly different games for different regions at different times as well….sure, you and oters may not like this, but it is how the system works. no one is forcing you and others to participate in the system. if you’re not interested in NA PS+, then open a new EU account or change your account info to a random EU address so you’ll hen be able to purchase EU PS+….but this is like comparing apples and oranges, yes both are fruuits, but they taste completely different…if you want orange juice, then don’t juice apples, its pretty simple.

  • i thought Guardians of Middle Earth was a co-op only game but i guess not.. still it’s free so happy for that. still a good way to go for a free game. keep it sony keep it up

  • I LOVE LotR & I’ll check this out, but I hope a $14.99 PSN game isn’t THE monthly blockbuster they usually put out.

I’d also like to add my voice to the growing dissension over EU vs US Plus content. It really is chasm of a difference. I’d love for Morgan to acknowledge this.

The 2 biggest titles for the EU update over the past few months seem to be Arkham City & Sleeping Dogs while US seems to be BioShock 2 & Resident Evil 5 (EU also got Bioshock 2). They’re aces, but the’ve been out for 3 & 4 years. It really does baffle me how EU gets a SO much better content.

I don’t consider myself whining. I rave about PS+ to all my friends. But I do feel like the slightly-less-loved child when I see what EU gets.

  • @sab_krit

uh, yes you can, and I know as I’ve done it before. my account was originally an American account from the PS2 Online days (technically the birthplace of the PSN), and when PS3 came out, I changed my address info to my Canadian home…my accoutn reads as a Canadian account even….and you do realize that Canada and USa are in the same continent known as North America, right? well if you use that far superior brain of yours to change the account info to a EU address, it will change the region type, as region type determines 2 things: access to region-specific PS Stores, and region of discs that can be played.

  • This game is not for me, which I accept and am completely fine with. I did pay $60 for Sleeping Dogs and would recommend it to all who are interested. It is more worth your money than your wishful thinking. Support that game, I want a sequel!

Off topic….why are users PSN id’s “clickable” on here? It seems to serve no purpose whatsoever for the user. My only guess is that it’s useful from the Administrative end?

What’s going on back there Big Brother?

  • @DaGimp13

Hmmm so did u try changing the region of the existing account? or find a blog which tells how to do it? From this what u understand? ur comments makes no sense and full of garbage! Next time give a valid suggestion else keep mum instead.

  • @sab_krit

I know this because I’ve done it, but also because when you 1st unbox a brand new PS3, it’s Region-Free. how you set it up for region and account info determines what games/discs are accessible on the system itself. this is FACT, and no amount of crying “it wont work” changes this fact.

  • @aGimp13

Right so u changed a ps2 account to ps3 account within the same region. BRAVO! great job dude.

  • I feel that I have always gotten my money’s worth out of PS PLus, and I still feel that way, but I am trying to decide if buying a year is worth it right now, not because of the games we are getting but with the probability of the PS4 soon, I am worried that the subscription will have zero effect on the new system….

  • Not surprised we get ANOTHER garbage update, when Europe gets something better than us. Chances are it’s going to be like this until E3 comes again.

  • We want Sleeping Dogs!
    We want Sleeping Dogs!
    We want Sleeping Dogs!

    everyone!

    Hear our Voices!

    We want Sleeping Dogs!
    We want Sleeping Dogs!

  • lol 2 weeks ago people were complaining about not liking that week’s free game (foosball). Last week people were complaining that they didn’t get any free PS3 game, and now this week I see the complaints are back to hating the free game. Better yet people are asking why NA doesn’t get the same games as EU when last month we did (Darksiders), and this game (GoME) EU has too. I guess beggars can’t be choosers.

  • The funny thing is when GOME was given to EU+ people here complained for not getting it, now that it’s given it’s suddenly a crappy game.

If Whatever Dogs was given by US+ people would surely call it crappy too, instead of crying over not getting it.

The games I know I want I simply buy, instead of begging to have it for free.

The good point of Plus for me is exactly experiencing games I would never buy on my own, like GOME, and sometimes I find a pearl or two.

  • @sab_krit

no, I’m saying I’ve had a american account from PS2 days, which is the same account I used for PS3….all the account info was the same from PS2 to PS3…and that the accounts can be converted. in order to do so, you got to input a valid street address in whichever region you chose. If you wish to be hostile towards those trying to help you, then you can go eat a bag of ducks….and no, I don’t actually mean ducks

  • Europe gets Sleeping Dogs, we get a $15 game…
    THANKS SONY!

    Copy/Paste

  • @DaGimp13

DUDE! I am wondering are you really that ignorant or trying to act like one. Well I am a noob trying to change an existing PS3 NA REGION account to EU region account. Explain me in several easy steps to change the address. It wont take more than 5 mins I guess, since u hv already dont that, instead of wasting ur 10 mins or more trying to make me understand that regions can be changed for an existing account. I would really appreciate that help.

  • Also, I’d really like to see the poll results.

  • THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GOME FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sab_krit

just saying it doesn’t matter how old the PSN account is whether its from PS2 or PS3 days, once its on PS3, you go into account info, change the info on the account to a different address in a different region, and it will work. Sony is not this monster you make them out to be blocking you at every attempt. they realize people move across the planet. if you moved to Iraq, they wouldn’t expect you to order PSn cards from the US to top up your account, you would simply convert your account info, and purchase your content locally. dunno whats hard to understand about that…

  • Congratulations, you have reached a new low. Horrible.
