  • HA! Just wait until January when all of these become $1.00 or less with all of the other crappy dated sports games.

  • WOW! Those are some great prices. You guys at EA are really bending over backwards on this sale. I’m shocked you didn’t offer an additional 99 cents off for PLUS member to REALLY drive home the value you’re offering here.

  • LOL exactly. Buying digital is the dumbest thing you could do, some reasons because physical is always cheaper even with sales and deals on the digital version LOL and because you never own the digital version but you actually own the physical version.

Either way, I’m not buying any of these games because pro golf doesn’t interest me, only golf I like is party, arcade gold games like Hot Shots Golf which is amazing and love. I haven’t liked Madden for years. NBA I go with 2K and Football PES is better and on top of that no greedy, dirty, ripping off the consumer online pass ;)

  • Nice idea but the pricing definitely needs an adjustment. With the college football season practically over the price should have been in the $30-$40 range. Too bad there isn’t any PS+ discount on these. At the right price I would have picked up two of these titles.

  • questions for EA: WHY do you constantly make and release crap sports games? Give us better quality game rather than all of this watered down sports crap.

-Why did you screw over 48 Studios?

  • Not a sports fan EA but would like to know is Mass Effect 3 will be getting a price drop on PSN since the trilogy is out today. It’s still 39.99 and its 29.99/19.99 everywhere else new hard copies. I bought Mass Effect 2 on PSN two weeks ago enjoyed it and would like to buy the other two as well at a reasonable price. Also plan to get part one today since it’s supposed to be on psn,

  • @5 Who bought the Kingdoms of Amalur license? The state of new jesery claimed it but I can’t remember who bought it.

  • @3 You’re delusional if you think Physical is always cheaper than Digital. This is not one of those examples, but I’ve paid less digitally for countless games on PS3 and PC.

  • Wow I can’t spell on here lol

  • @7: It wasn’t New Jersey; It was Rhode Island.

  • Cool, more games that will have closed servers by this time next year.

  • Lowest rating I have ever seen.

I don’t think many gamers like
the offerings… They are pricey too IMO.

  • @8: Typically, if you know where to look, physical usually does outclass digital at the price level. I recently picked up the PS3 Street Fighter X Tekken on clearance at Target for under US$9. Granted, most games are discounted at the digital to make them appealing, in addition to getting them right away vs going to the store.

However, you also have the fact that many retailers put physical games on regular sales, as well as dropping the prices to boost sales/clear inventory. It took over two months for half of the Vita digital games to change their prices to reflect regular retail markdowns for instance.

  • Remember when ESPN had the NFL license and their new games were only $19.99 and amazing?

  • BTW, Sony, no discounts on Vita versions? Would be nice incentives. Outside of overdue price drops (ie – Wipeout, Little Deviants, etc) and PS+ freebies (which are appreciated), there has been very little to get exited about for the Vita.

At least until the Uncharted card game releases, but still.

  • but I want PES 2013.

  • Err 2K not ESPN LOL

  • @14: Yep, and EA is supposed to be loosing some of those exclusive licenses. Whether or not the publishers can get good games to combat them before they renew in a few years is unknown, especially since so many people go for the names they know. Remember All-Star Football? There is a reason…

  • When does the store update?!!?!?!?!?

  • I love you Playstation! I really do, but you can’t let EA try to rip people off with these deals. In particular, TW 13–those courses can be unlocked through gameplay, so there isn’t any financial value. Please stop the madness!

  • @17: 2K did do several football games under ESPN, or rather their developer did while SEGA was still publishing. Ah, ESPN 2K5, how we miss your greatness…

@16: Was that version any good this year? Haven’t tried it in a while.

  • @19: Good question. Not really consistant, though I would guess around 7-9pm EST.

  • @20: EA. It’s what they do.

  • Im not usually one to complain, maybe im just giving advice? Those prices are still too high for sports games out each year from a very rich company. Year after year they sell their slightly improved games for $60 and last years game is still $40. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know who comes up with the prices, but if their going to “give” us something
or give us a “deal”, this deal better not go one way and screw over the other guy at the other end of the deal. $30 is more reasonable. Thousands buy these games anyway.

  • This is so cool! It just makes me decide what game to buy much harder than it already is

  • It is great price as it is, but if they would’ve gone a bit lower, this would be a must-buy…

  • Maybe bundling both the PS3 and Vita versions on a discount would have been nice?

  • The only people this would appeal to, are the people who already own these games. Only adding dlc & not discounting the prices is only going to appeal to those who hard core sports gamers & most if not all of them will already own these games. I would just assume u keep the dlc & drop all those high prices. IMO

    • Hi, the prices are indeed discounted for 3 of 4 titles to $49.99 which is $10 off the retail price. Plus each title comes with $20-25 in bonus PDLC content, a $79.99 value.

  • @13 This is one of those times where that doesn’t happen. You’d be hard pressed to find a copy of an EA sports game anywhere for cheap. Hell, last years games still sell for too much.

  • You know what sport game I’d like on PSN?

    Pangya fantasy golf.

    Golf + Dragons + Demons + Bears.

I’d pay 50 bucks for that.

    At least it’s worth it.

    There’s so much content.

  • Ever since EA bought the NFL license in 2005. the madden game has progressively gotten worse & worse each year since. I guess u don’t put as much effort in your product when you buy out all the competition.

  • #31: Can i give you a Kudos for this truthfully honest comment? Kudos+1 to you, Sir!

  • funny how you need to point out how to get to the sales section.. no one EVER had a problem finding ANYTHING in the old PSN store.. says a lot doesn’t it.. smh..

  • @33: Kudos to you too Sir for maing me laugh at how rediculous Sony and EA are. LOL

  • @3: I suggest you actually do some research. When you buy physical copies, you technically do NOT own them.

  • Those prices are a joke right? Is it April already? Sheesh.

  • @30 I would love to see Pangya with regular updates show up on the console. The PSP version was fun, but limited since there were no updates. Lots of <3 for Kooh.

  • @36 That’s telling them! After all, they are here to cater to your every whim and only yours right? Try turning the caps lock off, grow up a bit and switch to decaf.

  • Hahaha, you gotta be kidding me. Although, I place more blame on the consumer than EA. Because why should they stop pulling this BS if people keep falling for it and giving them so much money year after year?

  • Wheres is boxing? ea mma? i have madden13 on ps vita, i do tip my hat to you guys on that games its a very good football games in very long time.. the ncaa fooball one is not great as the past ones which came as shock to me.. I like you guys are makiing bundles deals. but Im kind alet down with few ea policy issues.. also i would to ask

Can you guys port fight night 4 bxing 4 to ps vita , also ea mma to ps vita.. also nascar to ps vita. We could use the support. I think you guys at ea have been great so far with vita when you do release gmes for them.

    vp psb legioniaree group

  • I understand you cant undercut your brick and mortar partners, but I have to say anyone getting sports games this late in the season wouldnt care about the DLC, for these people price is everything.

Also, no discounts on the Vita games? Ouch, we didn’t get the physics based engine, and no discount?

  • @Chuck

Games are only $60 on launch day and even on launch day you can get them for under $60. A little after launch you can find games at $40-50 sometimes $30 and yes new. And a little after that definitely at $30 and under. Only idiots buy games at $60 especially when they are less in some stores.

Also, it’s a fact, nothing you say can change that, digital version you never own but physical version you actually own and have the game and can do as you please with it.

  • Also, prices for physical version of games are always cheaper, the only times a digital version of a game will be cheaper is if it’s on sale and it’s the PC version.

  • played the NHL13 demo, it was great! why was hockey missed in these EA sports deals?

  • 50Bucks in a dated/buged sport game, never… Sony please make a deal with another company EA =sucks!

  • these are horrible prices.. these games have been out for months and almost (already) old/outdated.. i know black friday is a huge sale, but if you keep it to those prices you would definitely sell real well. or make it 30 instead of 25.. it would be great.. idk about you i dont really care about the “bonus”edition.. not a big deal (imo).. i just think especially for madden the price is too high.. the season is almost over

  • Any word on the next entry in the EA Sports Active series? I have tried every other exercise game on PS3, and it was by far my favorite (and everyone else I recommended it to who bought it). A great library of low-impact stretches, balance, and core strengthening, the ability to set the amount of time I have for a workout, and the fact the sensors didn’t require me to be in front of my TV (which allowed me to jog around the first floor of the house instead of in-place) were all reasons it is still my favorite.

I was really expecting a Move DLC to be released to give a little more accuracy and some new exercises. That being said, I’m happy to wait for it to be done properly — even if that means waiting for PS4 tech.

  • Leave it to EA to think tacking on some DLC to last years games and then putting them up for full retail cost is a Sale

  • You call these sales lol, EA is a joke.

  • No NHL? For shame.
