Nothing compares to Postseason baseball. That’s why The Show offers an All-New Playoff Mode, which includes an in-stadium atmosphere that replicates the excitement and tension of October baseball. The experience is unrivalled by anything The Show has ever exhibited.

Other new features include a completely new beginner mode and instructional enhancements that make The Show the best pick-up and play baseball experience available. In addition, the improved Play Now mode streamlines gameplay, for faster and simpler games. San Diego Studios has also revamped The Show’s Franchise and Road To The Show modes with expanded options and new gameplay experiences.

Taking The Show on the road? The PS Vita version of The Show features the same list of upgrades and new features as the PS3 version. As with last year, you can sync your Season, Franchise and Road to the Show saves between platforms to continue the action anywhere. MLB The Show also offers the opportunity to play with friends around the world at no extra cost on PlayStation Network.

  • could you put my mom on the front cover. lol

  • @Tikire

Dude, you’re only focusing on offense. Cabrera may be a fearsome slugger, but how’s his fielding?

Mike Trout is a COMPLETE player. Torii Hunter has been dominating the outfield for 16 seasons with multiple gold gloves to prove it and he says Mike Trout is the best he’s ever seen, defensively.

And offensively, you want to talk about numbers? Did you look at them? The only reason Trout’s numbers were behind Cabrera’s were because he came up to the bigs after a month of the season had already passed. Imagine if he had an extra 20-25 games to do some damage…

He can hit, he can defend, he can run the bases. He led the league in runs and stolen bases.

Trout broke numerous Angels team records and AL Rookie records, and factoring in his late appearance makes that even more remarkable.

  • And he’s A ROOKIE. In his ROOKIE year, he became the ONLY PLAYER IN HISTORY to hit 30 homers, steal 45 bases and score 125 runs in one season. The ONLY PLAYER. The ONE. That’s a shorter list than the list of Triple Crown winners…

The dude is off the charts. Have you looked at his stats? Have you watched him play? This guy is going to be the biggest star MLB has ever had, as long as he can avoid injuries.

  • Well I don’t remember seeing the Angels make it to the playoffs….so trout shouldn’t even matter…Buster Posey Or Cabrera…

  • Can’t say that I understand why people think that Miguel Cabrera was the best player in the league last year when stats show that he wasn’t. Trout accumulated 3 more WAR than Cabrera which was in itself enough to net Trout the Mvp.

  • I do however agree that the cover should be a David Price, Felix Hernandez, Posey or Trout.

  • Phillie Phanatic gets my vote!

  • Mikey, trout, Posey, McCutchen would all be good choices. So would Kershaw, price, King Felix. As long as its not a Red Sox or Jow Mauer I’m happy. There have been enough of the Sox in the last few years. There have only been 4 teams represented in 7 years and thats nuts. Thats the only reason i wouldn’t suggest R.A. Dickey, since It’d be another Met. If its a Giant, Angel, Mairner, Dodger, ect… or especially a pitcher that will be great.

  • I’ll get it no matter what, and It’ll be great because this one will finally have the new playoff format ,which I’m still not a huge fan of, evan a a cardinal fan who benefitted from it this year, In fact I’ll apologize to any braces fans out there. ;)

  • miguel cabrera is a no brainer but some legends should be consider… what about three players of different times in the cover; something like miguel cabrera, ken griffey jr and juan marichal

  • Miguel Cabrera

  • I think it would be cool if there was a bracket idea so every team could get in on it. The fans would react more if guys from their favorite teams still had a chance say if they played for a non contender like Colorado or the Cubs.

Vote between two players on a team then let them go against guys from other teams.

    my top guys are

    Trout
    Price
    Braun
    Posey
    CarGo
    Longoria
    Harper
    Cabrera
    Stanton

  • Buster Posey and it ain’t even close. Comeback player of the year, MVP and World Series Winner. If Sony misses this they are completely clueless.

  • Please add Back The ability to change teams during a franchise in MLB The Show, it adds A whole different dimension to the game and it keeps it fresh and fun

  • Miguel Cabrera would create a possible Madden NFL like cover curse if he’s on the cover for MLB 13 The Show by not only getting in trouble on DUI outside of the game but also possibly bing out on the disabled list for a long while. Look out Joe Mauer from past couple seasons as his production stats on offense went down on top being injured. The game coming in March better also have a new injury graphics during the ball game just like on recent Madden NFL w/ an injured player on a stretcher for serious injury or limping towards the dugout by being assisted from teammates or training staff.

  • Mike Trout or Chipper Jones that what have to say so far
