PlayStation Plus Update: Solve a Quantum Conundrum Free with Plus

Last week, we revealed that Resident Evil 5 would be free for PS Plus members. Now we’re welcoming Quantum Conundrum into the Instant Game Collection. It’s a ground-breaking title in its own right, so read on to learn a bit more about it, along with another great deal for Plus members.   if you did get charged for this in that last store update hiccup; do make sure you’ve contacted CS about it. They will happily get you credited back. And going forward, we’ve got a format in place where we will ensure that we’ll only announce when the Store Update is live when it’s out for everyone. The new Store gave us a bit of a hiccup there last week.

played demo for this not bad just make sure when psn updates IT FULLY UPDATES im still waiting for an email for my $30 back Sony f’ed me out of on RE5 like yea im going to buy it when it came out for free the same day and i have plus and it was enlisted under psn plus free new arrivals. so i guess we have to wait even longer for it to confirm its free

Another great upadate, november is turnig up to be the best month so far, but last week morgan didn’t answer my questions, so I’ll ask again:
1- is there going to be ps vita free content on ps plus?
2- if you dont have a ps vita can you add content to the download list and download it later on?
3- is there any news on Final Fantasy X HD?
4-can you download content in 2 PS3 and 1 PS vita?
5-where is the monthly update?

Lets hope I like this game. I got a game that’s similar to a puzzle game called Warp which was cool. Hopefully we can get Demon s souls soon to the IGC.

“Soon” in Grace Chen time means you may, MAY be ringing in the new year with PS Plus Vita. It took this long for them to even being to implement it from Vita launch is astounding.

This trolling people along with “Soon” is misleading to those who may have purchased a PS Plus membership expecting this and now losing time. Vita launch owners are in no mood for these games Sony play, start treating us better.

I really like the advanced notice on what’s coming up for Plus. But I have a question for you Morgan: My plus account just expired at the beginning of this month (I thought I had a bit more time) and from what I understood, if your psn+ subscription lapses and then later on you decide to renew you get all the games back that you got for “free” while you were a member, is this correct? I’m asking because I’m getting mixed information where some people are now telling me that all those old games are lost!

I know the program is pretty great but I’d only re-subscribe my lapsed subscription IF I can get my old games back (thinking in particular Borderlands, Infamous 2, Final Fantasy V). Please can you confirm this for me?!

I haven’t really been happy with the Plus offerings since the IGC went into effect, but this month is different. I’m actually quite pleased so far with the offerings.

My only issue is that you said last week that we’d get info on Plus for Vita “very soon” and here we are a week later and you are just repeating that. “Very soon” has come and gone. I understand if you are not allowed to give the details yet, but please choose your words a little better because you’ve been slightly misleading and I’m sure many people feel let down about it.

@202 u have to call them up n set up for an refund itll take 5 to 15 business days they told me oh heres the kicker EVERYTHING WILL BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION. really you stole money from us and thats all? i dont get my money back im not spending one more penny on sony XBOX i might make the switch!!!!!!

@FireDragonMonkey-you will not lose any “free” purchased content from plus once you re-sub. Simply load game if it’s still on your hdd. If you deleted it, visit your download list and go through the motions to put it back. The beauty of the Instant Game Collection.

A good update, I never got around to buying Quantum Conumdrum but I was always curious about the idea but my backlog was immense and PS Plus isn’t helping!

1) Is there a good chance that we could see some discounts/free DLC for games that have been or are in the IGC? since users with Plus are guaranteed to have it.

2) Any chance that automatic downloads/trophy syncing could be set to multiple times during the day for PS Vita? I would like to have it update at 6 AM and then at 6PM for instance.

3) I find that the trophy syncing on PS Vita is pretty quick since it only takes 2 seconds and it would be great if they are automatically synced unless this might be something that could be added to PS Vita via firmware update and would no longer be a PS Plus feature for Vita.

WILL THERE BE AN INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF AVAILABLE TITLES OF PS1 AND PSP GAMES FOR THE VITA.

I know that this probably isn’t very popular but I would love to see some new PSN avatars and themes for PS Plus… it has been a while since we got some new ones and would be great if there are new panels for PS Vita when plus eventually comes to it.

Could we get PS Share updated? I know that you guys keep saying that you keep it into account but with the frequency that it has been updated lately aka once a month… it isn’t very encouraging.

Also will you guys either release a larger memory card or make them cheaper now with PS Plus for PS Vita? I have a 32GB memory card but I am sure that after 2 month it might be filled up unless you guys are making a concerted effort to give games that won’t eat up my storage space.

Hey Morgan, I agree with the other dude, that you should take into consideration about giving us a hint of what to expect our free game to be next week. Its kind of like a riddle game for us to try to solve. Like when you gave the clue last week about it being a puzzle game this week, I honestly thought it was going to be Tetris.. lol.. But please keep the clues coming.
I already have Quantum Conundrum, but its a very fun game that requires thinking.
Also one last thing, I saw the Assassins Creed Liberation trailer, and I loved the end where the Dualshock 3 transformed into the PS Vita. Whoever thought of that idea is a freaking genius.

The above-referenced link to an article written just a couple weeks ago gives the best reasons why the voices of the hostile minority of commenters on this site that constantly complain about PS+ offerings are (thankfully) ignored. First, and perhaps most importantly, according to the article, “customer satisfaction rates (for PS+) are at the highest ever at 97 percent while its renewal intent rate is at 93 percent.” Therefore, when commenters say things like “everybody hates the IGC” or “everybody wishes that PS Plus would return to how it was before the IGC,” they’re basically speaking for themselves, because 97 percent of PS Plus subscribers love the way things are currently. Subscribers threatening to cancel their subscription because they didn’t get the game that they wanted in the IGC that week might as well keep their threats to themselves, as they would represent just the 7 percent of PS+ subscribers that will follow them out the door (don’t let it hit you on the way out).

The article also talks about one of the main purposes of the IGC: “If you look at a consumer that’s coming in in year 6 or year 7…you could call them a later adopter and giving them an instant game collection, which is what PlayStation Plus provides, has really proven to be successful.” In other words, if you’re the type that runs out and buys every game that comes out day 1, the IGC wasn’t made for you. So stop complaining about the “old games” that end up in the IGC. What do you expect? That Sony was going to give you new games in the IGC? That would be one hell of a business model. Read the article…and stop complaining!

Morgan, I don’t think you understood what the comment @114 meant. When you said that you would be adding Ps vita news to the plus post it kinda sounded like you would be adding that news to that particular post. Like you just hadn’t added it yet and would do it later in the day. That is what I first thought was when I read it.

Again people are complaining how plus from another country are getting better games than us it almost racist no country is better than another PLAYSTATION PLUS should be the same every where thus would avoid complaints then fans got one game finally RE5 gold then you give them crap again you know when ps fans are happy sales are good but if you ppl are going to poop on plus usa it makes us very unhappy remember losing fan base = 0 $ im just saying equality is key so please fix this for it would be sad to give up the quest thank you

Thank you SOA for another lame PSN game. Where are the full retail games that EU seem to be getting a lot of. Wheres the love for RPGs full games for Plus user. PS PLUS is getting worst and worst every week. Once again SOA doesn’t listen to their customers. The only thing good that came out so far are the first 12 games, Borderlands and RE5 Gold.

Nice! Got Quantum Conundrum on PC (damn you, TF2 promotions!), but my laptop’s not quite up to running it smoothly, so having it on my stationary console of choice will be a nice experience (FPP-jumping aside).

As for Machinarium… While I’m a fiend for a trophy list, I’ll prolly hold off on that PC→PS3 jump for now.

On a side note, it took me over 10 minutes to find the super street fighter iv update that transforms your game into arcade. You need to get the filtering better, the only way I managed to find it was by price. Alphabetically or genre simply did not work.

Hey Morgan, I’m going to keep posting this recommendation to you so that you can pass this idea on to your superiors. PS Vita memory cards should NOT cost more than $1/GB of storage, and a 64GB memory card should be introduced. These great ideas WILL sell more Vitas AND memory cards, it’s a win-win situation.

@215/220, asphaltum, yes, there will be more PS1 & PSP games added but the timeframe is a complete mystery. A bunch of games have been added in the last couple months & we get almost no notification when games are added.

If you read the blog often you should see that the majority of complaints and questions revolve around “when will X be available”. Playstation is like your parents at Christmas, hinting and avoiding telling you if you’re going to get what you asked for. Except Playstation does that all year-round. I’m pretty sure the Vita store will continue to expand but none of us know when.

I was hoping for vita news for my birthday. Quantum Conundrum is cool, as is RE5 (so glad it’s gold), but the vita content will dictate whether I renew. Also, very important question Morgan; If I let my PS+ lapse, but then renew, will I have access to the games I got before I let my PS+ lapse? Or just the games released since I renewed? No one can seem to provide an answer.

So on another site people in the forums were mentioning that on the Europe blog it says the Vita Plus news was coming this week. I looked it up and there it was in this months Plus update for them in a reply that it news would be coming on it this week. So why is it that they can seem to lock down answers for their community but the NA blog just gives us the run around all the time?

You also need to get Plus updates together like them. Why are they able to give out exact info on games and everything but you just give us the “soon” or “you’ll love next week” crap? You guys really need to pick it up because it’s a shame to see they have a more well put together blog.

Can you answer these questions Morgan or will you not respond?

I’m not a fan of puzzle games. But Ill download it and keep it on my HDD for a month. If I never play it then I’ll delete it. If get bored fo the other 40+ games I have on my HDD then I’ll check out QC.

I wanted to read all the comments. But it seems its the same kind of comments. A few people who love the free game. And the rest are nothing but people complaining. I’ll keep my response short. If you dont like it stop paying for plus. If you purchased a ful yr or maybe 3 months at a time. Then stop killing all the joy from people who actually appreciate Plus no matter what game the give us.

+247 my suggestion is to delete the game from the HDD and re-download it. I have deleted games from my hdd and re-downloaded them and all previous problems where gone. For example Infamous 2 loaded with a black screen and never went away. Always freezing my ps3 upon launching the game. After i deleted it and re-downloading it. All bugs were fixed. The best part is that it didn’t delete my game save.
