You guys always reply to me after I already explained why a plus logo is not on this account. I read quite a few of the replies and have to say that these Playstation users are selfish and unappreciative. Let me start by thanking you guys at Sony working hard to provide a great service, and let me add that I’ve enjoyed my Playstation 3 experience the 2 months I’ve had it, and that’s mainly because of Plus. I love the fact I came in when you guys offered the IGC, games to play every month on top of the 12 you offered at first. The subscription payed for itself two times over already, and will continue to. To anyone who’s complaining about getting games you’ve already purchased, there is always gonna be a game someone has purchased given for free, get over it. To anyone complaining about getting only these 2 games for free, I’d say it’s more than enough, but if you took a second to read through the comments, you’d know the two episodes only count as 1 game and we’ll be getting a couple more.

ADD ME IF YOU HAVE A MIC AND PLAY GTA IV, GOTHAM CITY IMPOSTERS, MNR, LP2, MVC 3, OR CRYSIS 2. NEED NEW PEOPLE TO PLAY WITH.

I realize that nothing is off limits, but what are the chances of recieving older ps3 games? And have you thought about this beforehand.

I know some gamer will be angry at me for this statement.

So here goes; Playing older games don’t bothered me. I played Dark Sector a couple of month ago and had a blast even without trophy support.

I believe most plus members would be happy with older full-ps3 title, such as Dark Sector, with or without trophy support.

Of course, you’ll always have those gamers who will complain about a game being old. They complain about a “free” game being 1 year old.

Just an idea.

Nice been waiting to play something new but 1 question were was the second half the july update i remember someone saying there was gunna be a part 2 an 1 more question could you guys give out more co-op games like ultimate alliance 2 always wanted to play that game….. other than that nice update :)

No I don’t make new accounts to troll hate. I made this account cause I can’t comment from my main one. Oh and I’ll tell ya why I was blocked years ago and I have no way in emailing or getting the attention of any of the blog guys to answer me why they haven’t unblocked my main paying account from commenting on here. back years ago when psp was first coming out and about with bundles I bought two bundles and had two vouchers of the same psp game which was that motorstorm psp game artic edge I believe. Anyways I had two vouchers and came on here and offered the voucher to anyone that messaged me first and right after I said that I was no longer allowed to comment on these blogs from that account. It wasn’t trolling as people think. I was just giving one of my vouchers away and I get blocked. I still haven’t got a reply why they blocked me for that. I see people giving free codes away on here weekly and yet they are never blocked. I’m still mad over it.

I was actually hoping that PS+ would offer The Walking Dead episodes in the instant game collection. However, I hope we get more than 2/5 of the game as it becomes available. I would rate the PS+ service a 6/10 for me. It’s not bad, but I have very particular tastes and I don’t find most of the offerings to my liking. Some feedback I could offer would be to possibly offer PS+ members free or discounted DLC/Add-On Content to games. That’s something I would certainly be more interested in than a bunch of free games I have no interest in playing.

You can not speak for us loyal sony owners like myself that has been with ps3 since May 2007. I left 360 to go ps3 in May 2007 and never looked back and I have been a loyal plus member since it started well well over a year ago. I have been with plus since its changes of features as well and I have over 1,200 items in my download list and own a lot of games but don’t act like sony does us totally right. You may recall at E3 one of the games that was free was infamous 2. Just one week before E3 started they had Infamous 2 on sale for plus members for 23 bucks. I bought that and then a week later after e3 us plus members got it offered for FREE. Oh yeah the blog team really did us well and treated us right there huh? Then the walking dead comes out not long ago at all and we all mostly buy them right away and then they just go ahead and give us plus members that’s already bought them for free. Wow what a deal for us plus members that already bought it just within a few months of it being out. Again another slap in our face but to you that hasn’t bought any games hardly and just got a ps3 then to you, you would think sony is so cool. You just wait lol.

Counter Strike coming out also soon, Papa & Yo for sure going to pre order that,Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars what i read thats coming out tmw also!! The walking dead free wow was looking into trying this out one day..I just hope with all these games coming out, i hope it does not take away my time from rainbow moon what a game that turned out to be! I also read GTA3 ps2 and demos i read Pro Evolution Soccer 2013,Transformers: War for Cybertron will be out tmw!

I cannot complain about the number of free games we’re all getting, and I never will, but the one thing I wish that we could get for PS+ is the ability to have more cloud storage. While 150MB is enough for a few games, my dream is to keep all of my saves on the cloud, so I don’t have to worry about transfering my saves that I really would like to have around all of the time. Even bumping up the limit to 500MB would be very much welcome, as I’m sure a lot of people here would agree.

TWD Ep 1+2 isn’t even a full game. Don’t get me wrong; TWD is good, but all 5 Episodes are what constitute a full game. It’s also why each Ep is priced so low. You are giving away less than half of a game and counting it as a replacement to one full game that that just isn’t right.

I’ve played both of the Walking Dead Games, and those 2 are definitely worth their salt and have a ton of value gaming-wise. =) They just happen to be a different way to distribute gaming, hence a lower episodic price. just my two cents, but we’ve got more to come later this month.

People need to stop whining and being greedy. You got 12 games in June and 3 in July and all you can do is whine about already buying The Walking Dead?

If you want to find an easy way to get over yourselves, you could try waiting 3-6 months before you impulse buy new games that might become free (oh, the horror) through Plus.

Sweet update, I am still busy with the other plus free games and have a pretty big backlog of games to get to. Still would like to check out walking dead as well.People SERIOUSLY need to stop complaining about this and that and actually start PLAYING games and enjoying them. 50$ is not even the price of ONE full released game and yet we get much much much more than that and other nice discounts(Got festival of blood + Nba jam for ~ 12$ thanks to plus). So my advice is to all the naggers is to shut up and actually play the games they have and are offered and if you bought it 2 months ago or whatever well that means you played it 2 months earlier than the rest of us . You are gonna complain now about a game you bought full price @ gamestop 2 weeks ago and now its 50% off ?? lol, kids thesedays….

@JROD0823: I can’t really understand people getting upset when a free game through plus is something they already have most of the time. It’s going to happen unless you don’t buy any games sooner or later. In this case though I can sort of understand people being a bit upset though for a few reasons. The game just recently came out and with a bundle to prepay for each part of the game, and it is kind of cheap of them to give this as 1 of the games for the month though since it isn’t really a full game at all. It’s 2/5 of a game.

Telling people not to buy games is silly though. Is that the message people should be getting with Plus? If so then it really is a failed system they have going if it encourages people to not buy games.

I gotta say, when I read this and only saw the two Walking Dead episodes as the free games, I was a little shocked (not in a good way) because I was expecting two or three games for the month, and was expecting them to be, one… unique games, not episodes of the same game, and two… something to serve as a replacement for at least one or two of the retail size games currently being offered, since it was all PSN games replaced in July.

I see now from reading the comments that WD only counts as one free game, and we will be getting more for the month.

I guess for whatever reason, you can’t, or don’t want to announce anything else at the moment, but would it be possible to get a little tease of sorts at the beginning of the month…

For example,

1 Full Retail game… replacing ____
1 PSN game… replacing _____

Just so we know what kind of content or the amount we are getting without the need for clarification in the comments? Give us what details you can at the beginning of the month, and a quick rundown of what has yet to be announced, then give us the more specific details (like the specific games) throughout the month.

@Sevyne: Ps+ is good for some and great for others. You most certainly are gonna get your moneys worth if your a casual gamer and dont buy EVERY single game out there. My advice would be to only buy games that you absolutely want to play right away and must have when they are released.We also cant forget that the free ps+ games only last until your subscribed, so you get to play them earlier and you will definately keep them forever even if your not a ps+ member.

I forgot to add…

With MotorStorm: Pacific Rift’s online shutting down in a few months, could we get the Speed and Adrenaline expansions for free, or at least as some kind of substantial discount, in three or four years, I can’t remember them ever going on sale.

Some of the trophies in the DLC will become unobtainable once the servers go offline. I’d like to take a stab at them, but if online numbers are so low that the servers are being shut down, the $10 per pack asking price is awfully steep.

PS+ rarely sees any add-on discounts or freebies. I think the last I can recall that was of any significance was the Uncharted 2 DLC giveaway shortly before U3’s release. It would be nice if we could get sold add-ons now and then. It was one of the original promises of PS+ but was never really delivered on. Outside of the Warhawk expansions in month 1, add-ons have been rarely offered.

@kj8463: Oh no doubt. Like is said sooner or later games will come up that you already own. That is something that is impossible for them to avoid unless they had something set up where you chose your game from 2 or 3 different ones. That is very unlikely though.

And to those complaining that EU is a stronger service, I would dispute that. I generally think that some months you get much better stuff, and other times we get the odd pleasant suprise.

Nice job with The Walking Dead. Wait until those who were excited have already bought it. For those who didn’t plan to buy it, give them a bit for free so they feel compelled to finish the story, and just have to buy the rest.

That’s not nice! that means I could have gotten all five episodes for just 15 bucks instead of paying 20 for the whole season.
Is good for getting more people interested in Plus, but when you have no idea of what is coming in the following months you end up spending more money that saving.
This is very disappointing. It happened before with inFamous 2, it went on sale and the very next week went for free for Plus subscribers.

I for one will admit I made an impulsive complaint (#68 I think) about the WD episodes being for free. After careful thought I realize you can’t please all of the people all of the time. There have been quality complaints though. Mine for one was truly not. I have been completely happy being a PS+ member, albeit only since April of this year. So for me, the July update was a great thing and for those who have been longtime members not so great. Again, you can’t please all of the people all of the time. This game however was not an impulse buy as many of you keep stating but a bundle purchase to save a few bucks. I know some of you can’t really comprehend what that means to save a few bucks. That’s all beside the point. Again, PS+ is still a solid service and it obviously does pay to be patient. Sorry for the earlier complaint. You still have a satisfied customer here.

I rated 8 for the instant game collection. And for the ps plus improvement, i would say the virtual shelf off my digital download from PSN. I purchased lots of game from PSN and due to the limitation of the storage some of them need to be deleted. And i have no mean to track all of those games that I have. The available list from downloaded section in the account management is practically cumbersome to navigate. Thanks

@Morgan: It really isn’t subjective though. That is how it really works. You are paying for the game in increments until you obtained the full game, or paying for it all up front and getting a $5 discount.

I’m also fully aware that more is coming this month, but less than half of a game taking up a game spot for the month is a huge disappointment and really shouldn’t have happened. We’re already getting less than we used and it seems to be trending downward even further.

I would rate the collection at a 7. For me a lot lower as many of the genres I most enjoy and tend to be interested in are very under represented here. I don’t really enjoy fps shooters, and mindless shooting games. While many on the list are not terrible and in fact have received decent scores. Only Little Big Planet 2 and Pac Man are truly great (I purchased those already for that reason and do not feel cheated by their inclusion) Tomb raider I also aquired a long time ago, a very good co op game. That leaves Infamous 2 as the only other game worth the gigantic download. The rest have practically no appeal to me and worse i would consider as a waste of bandwidth and time. That being said 1 full retail game that I know is a critically praised game is not terrible.

I realize you need to cover what you consider your target demographics and licencing and all that, I just wish I was in EU. where they are covering genres that interest me.

I played the first episode on the PC and it was pretty horrible IMHO. its not bad from the gameplay, but plot wise its simply dreadful. Many times I can’t pick a decision because what i would do simply is never a option, ever.

C’mon guys use your heads if already bought the season pass you paid 20$, you saved money and you got to play them early. Now they release these for free and knowing as how great the walking dead is many will now buy the others at 5 dollars each paying fifteen where they otherwise would not have have bought them at all. its good business. i mean they are hand 100 of dollars in games for only 50$ a year?? isn’t that enough??? good job sony keep up the good work. I do apologize if i made anyone upset with my remarks.
