My fellow LittleBigPlanetians,
I’m happy to report to you all that the LittleBigPlanet Karting Beta will begin next Tuesday, July 10th. Those of you lucky enough to be selected will start receiving codes next week, and we will be sending out vouchers to more people as the test continues through Tuesday, July 31st, so if you haven’t registered yet, make your way over and sign up ASAP right here.
In related news, we recently had a really amazing group of LBP creators join us for an entire week here at SCEA’s San Diego Studio where they were able to get their hands dirty experimenting with LBP Karting’s Create tools. I think it’s safe to say that a good time was had by all, and the participants gave us invaluable feedback on some tweaks that will end up giving you all really great experience when LBP Karting hits store shelves later this year. The LBP franchise has always had a strong community element so it was great to have the people we’re making the game for in our studio face to face talking through their creative ideas and processes. At the end of the day, this level of interaction helps us make a better game.
Big shouts out go to Spider-Jew, JustinArt, LamboLover4898, ConfusedCartman, codibear8383, Crazy_s, and Taffey. We are truly grateful that you all could spend some time with us at our studio – thank you for your continued support. We had an awesome ti-… You know what? I should let THEM tell you about it. I am getting very upset because im trying to sign up for the beta for LittleBigPlanet Karting but when I try to sign up for it it says this feature is unavailable did sign ups end because i saw that the beta starts july 10th and im trying sign up on july 7th. Well even If dont get selected for the beta still going be a great game pre ordered it yesterday.

wow steven, this is awesome news. but theres on problem. some people wont enjoy the bete because as we all know. and all of you agree with. the reason is because THERE WILL BE TROLLS. and the i hope you dont make the god awful decision to let Latin_player_10 in your beta. im just making a point that you & MM dont pay enough attention to trolls like him who could ruin the beta and it might make people not want to buy LBPK. once Latin was got lbp2, there was a huge drop in sales. to be more specific, i think you guys might wanna step up security in the days of this beta, because it wont be fun with Latin_player in there.
the video game industry is going to die because of Latin_player_10 and trolls like him.

recently i bought a new 320gb ps3 slim and transferred everything over and sold my old ps3 and popped my LBP2 in and it started up like new, so i called sony and they said i LOST EVERYTHIIING!, I WAS GOING CRAZY ALL THOSE YEAR OF HARD WORK AND ITS STUCK ON MY GAME DATA SAVE FOLDER, WISH THEIR WAS SOME UPDATE OR WAY I COULD GET IT BACK.BUT I CANT WAIT TO PL@Y LBK BET@,LOOKS FUN AND UNIQUE TO BOTH PLAY AND ENJOY AND SHARE OUR CREATIVE SIDE.
Can’t wait for the game. The beta would make the wait easier… First day purchase for me!!!!
Signed up for the Karting Beta a week ago, but unfortunately I didn’t get my Vita until after the LBP Vita Beta. Anyways, I already pre-ordered the Karting and Vita LBP games from Target. One question though- is there still no release date for either game yet? On Target’s site, it supplied a September date for when my LBP Vita game would be shipped and a November date for LBPK. Are these dates accurate?
Awesome!, I hope getting in, played some Little Big Planet 2 recently and its very addictive, LBPKarting may have the same effect. Too excited for this game and wondering how the races will be.

The downside to the whole thing is the massive rehash of mariocart and comic characters all over again. I loved how the mod create mode was in MNR. My 8 year old is the big LBP builder of the family.
man my wife loves everything Sackboy im glad there is a karting game coming out in this style!

I really dislike MNR so i am crossing my fingers and hoping that this karting game will be awesome. Having played crash bandicoot racing on the first playstation ever released, being such a good game (and still the best in racing game under shis style) in my opinion even after +10 years, i cant help but compare MNR to bandicoot.. MNR is such a fail and dissapointment to me .. i really hope little big planet karting either becomes just as good as the wonderful bandicoot racing or better.

just checked my email and found my code so happy im sure it will be just as great as lbp vita beta was.
I was kinda devastated when i didn’t get in. I signed up for lbp vita, lbp 2, water, and this beta and still haven’t gotten in. But I am still a huge fan of your game and have spent well over 500 hours on all of them combined and cannot wait until this fall and winter for karting and lb vita. Thank you so much Media Molecule.

I am really exited. Never been in a beta before, and with this being my favorite game series, It would sort of be present for me :)
Oh I hope a LBPK beta invitation lands in my inbox soon! Nothing so far but I have faith that whoever is choosing beta testers will choose those who are truly dedicated to the Littlebigplanet series. That being said, I know I will have my chance sooner or later!
I just have some little questions, are all beta codes sended yesterday or come there more? And also: When you’ve ps+ (such as I have), do you get always an invite, I have no any invite yet. Maybe someone can help me? Thank you

Good luck to everyone, i moderate the LBL forums and am also a member of some others. I have judged 2 competitions (recent one the lbn tribute comp) and have been in the LBP2 beta. Im very happy and grateful for all LBP related material i have been able to help with or be a part of so i will be happy whatever happens and will pick up the game on release!
I love karting games and I love LittleBigPlanet (I own all 3!). I hope I can get a chance to try this out.

i just got my beta codes yesterday. the problem i’m having is, i don’t know where to go to talk about the game. been looking and cant find it. so far the game is awesome.
It is very similar to Mario Kart at least from what I have seen of the Beta. Mario Kart is fun and so is LBP karting. I hope to see some unique elements that have already been seen in LBP 2 community kart levels. Thank You for the Beta. Whoopie!!
