Hi Everyone –
The excitement of E3 has come and gone, but the fun of gaming provided by PlayStation Store continues on!

This week marks the release of two highly anticipated PS Vita titles; the first being Gravity Rush. Gain a new perspective as you take on the role of Kat, a strong-willed girl seeking the means to protect her future in a world that’s crumbling to pieces. Tilt and move the PS Vita, taking gravity into your own hands to deliver devastating attacks, uncover the secrets to your past and explore a mysterious world. Check out all the coverage of Gravity Rush on the PlayStation.Blog, and pick it up today.
In addition to Gravity Rush, Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection sneaks on to PS Vita. Play three great chapters in the Metal Gear franchise with the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection. Included are in this PlayStation Vita package are Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. As a bonus, the original MSX games Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake are included, showcasing Snake’s very first missions.
PS Vita also sees another release this week with Pulzar: a mind boggling puzzle game that turns nearly any flat surface into an epic battle against time and a looming celestial event with the use of your AR Play cards.
You’ll also find new PSN releases to play on PS3 this week including the critically acclaimed Batman Arkham City joining the PS3 Full Game ranks, and PSN Game Babel Rising. Batman: Arkham City builds upon the intense, atmospheric foundation of Batman: Arkham Asylum, sending players soaring into Arkham City, the new maximum security home for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters and insane criminal masterminds. Babel Rising empowers you to use divine powers by hurling bolts of lightning, summoning massive earthquakes or unleashing gigantic floods upon the Babylonians who are trying to build the great tower of Babel. Both titles are available today!
PlayStation Plus might be your new instant game collection, but we’re still hitting members with great discounts on amazing content in the PlayStation Store. This week, we’re continuing E3 by bringing the best games of E3 shows from years past starting with two titles that made waves at E3 2009: Split/Second at 40% off and Borderlands at 30% off!
Make sure you check out all the details below including additional PS3 Full Game releases like Just Dance 3 and Dirt Showdown, and let us know your thoughts in the comments! Did I miss something? Wasn`t Lollipop Chainsaw suppose to be in the store with this update?
i want walking dead episode 2………now i tell you!
“+ iTofuMan on June 13th, 2012 at 1:17 am said:
tell me if you were at a restaurant would you wait on your food for a couple hours?, or say something seriously like the ambulance? ”
-Come on TofuMan. While I understand your point (and its definitely a reasonable one), I don’t think you can compare waiting for food at a restaurant or emergency medical care from an ambulance to updated video game content.
Anyway, I guess I’d be considered the bad guy here, but I could care less how timely the PSN Store Updates are. I’m not the type of Playstation gamer who needs games & content within minutes or hours after its released. Gaming is not THAT essential to me. Its usually at least 1-2 days before I even bother checking the store for anything that interests me.
I could care less about how timely the competitors are, as well. Sony’s products still serve my needs better than the competitors do, and even if late PSN Store Updates were a concern to me, the benefits of the product outweighs this drawback.
Just my opinion & feelings. I know others will have their own. :)
I know that but i was just trying to list examples. No other job/work lets you release your work whenever you please there is deadlines, no matter how important, or something like video game everything has deadline is my basic point. did i have to use something serious? No because its irrelevant.
All in all if you dont care about what time this update by all means live with it, i too dont need my things on the dot, but you are basically saying is that they should continue to be releasing their update late like this, then who knowns maybe youll be waiting an extra day, or week or month on the psn update.
Again I am not interested in sporting any other avatars other than what I already have or Twisted Metal avatars.
Also the TM DLC groubal:
http://www.groubal.com/twisted-metal-dlc-from-eat-sleep-play-and-sony/#signatures
Please support Twisted Metal, all the Singletrac / Incognito ones and Extra Twisted but especially the current one. Thanks.
Will ‘Metal Gear Solid: PW HD’ ever come to PSN for the PS3? I really want just that game :P
How is Borderlands more expensive now than when it was offered to PS+ members in July of 2011 for $14.99?
https://blog.playstation.com/2011/07/19/playstation-store-update-199/
Subsequent offerings for discounts should at least be as low (or lower) than past offerings. I get that there are now a bunch of new PS+ subscribers, but this seems a little over the top to me.
Goddangit…I want a PS Vita so bad now, but I must wait…I must endure, until Assassin’s Creed III Liberation comes out so I can get the bundle…
The store is great as well as the updates but like some here have stated, I think there could be a better way to update the store and a better design ! As it is now, it’s somewhat confusing at times trying to navigate through all the content because most of the content is misplaced or out of order !
No free stuff for ps plus? T_T
so like um wheres the sonic 4 avatars we were suppose to get them last month im getting angry man its bull crap every other country got it
Very disappointed at how late this update was – really shows you guys slap these together at the last moment possible.
Also, if I buy the Borderlands bundle at the PS+ discount price – are you going to give it away free next week? -_-
Any chance of PS2 games on the Vita?
TofuMan
-Not necessarily. I don’t believe it will ever come to that IMO. My feelings are that Sony will deliver the update on the day they schedule their updates (obviously, based on their time zone). It seems like the complaints are whether it’s Tuesday 11:59 AM, Tuesday 3:59 PM, Tuesday 7:59 PM, or 11:59 PM. This is what doesn’t bother me. Sure, an extra day, week, or month wouldn’t look good for them, but like I said, I don’t see that happening.
I hate to argue, though. I never bothered investing in PSP handhelds because of the lack of games you’ve always pointed out in these comments (very helpful, I might add), and that alone proves your feelings as a dedicated Sony consumer are more valuable than mine & worth looking at.
Wow, Arkham City is only 7.73 gigs? I was expecting something over 15gigs :)
Morgan, please, is it possible in the Playstation Store to filter PS3 full games under a certain price (say, 20 bucks)?
Tks!
Wasn’t Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock supposed to be released today for the Vita? Is there a new release date?
Instead of writing a comment asking where is Doctor Who, I actually did five minutes of research.
Via Twitter:
The #DoctorWhoTEC PS Vita game is undergoing additional testing and will be slightly delayed to ensure we deliver the best version for fans.
tying to try out escape plan but getting error code c2-12828-1, any idea?
#104,
There was a ton of stuff offered for Plus members just last week! How much more do you need?
#103,
The PS Store needs to use the Video Unlimited preview app format. Doing so will present content in a much better way.
I wonder if Sony will be nice to us and release E3 Demos to download. Wishful thinking, I know.
Wow fantastic baby
Yesterday was a GREAT Vita day. I got Gravity Rush in the mail (thank you, Amazon) AND Farsight released two more pinball tables for Pinball Arcade!! AWESOME!!
hopefully in the upcomming weeks more psp titles will become available for digital download (personally hoping for kingdom hearts bbs or crisis core). playing them on a vita is so much better and it would make it easier to have than the umds.
#113 Well, i was thinking about psone classics.
Sonic CD for $2.99, I think yes!
are we getting this vita sale that the EU is getting? https://blog.eu.playstation.com/2012/06/12/ps-vita-sale-coming-to-playstation-store/
I keep holding out, because I think a vita sale is around corner. Please let me know. Thanks
Where is My Heart? is on the vita now!! THANK YOU!
It would be very helpful if you could list all the new compatible mini’s/psp games each week. Each week I go thru every games on the vita store checking to see if any of my minis are available yet. Kinda cumbersome.
Would also be helpful if the PS Shopping bag icon would show up on the root folders of the store instead of having to click on each game first.
Thanks
Hey guys, I know your job is completely separate from the guys who actually post the store update, but could you point us in the right direction for complaints. The late updates are quite ridiculous at times, especially since I personally know how to do that stuff and how ‘not hard’ it is to pre upload and unlock everything. There’s also false advertisement with the fact that they consistantly say it will be update on Tuesday, but the update rolls into Wed. I would just like “them” to listen to us for once. So if theres a place where we don’t have to burden you guys with their job problems, please direct us.
The teams are well well aware of the issue. Trust me. I know it’s frustrating, but we’re working to streamline this as much as possible, but sometimes there are technical issues that are outside of our control.
