Starting with today’s PlayStation Store update, PlayStation Plus will deliver an instant game collection to all members!

Starting with 12 blockbuster titles worth over $260 – including inFAMOUS 2, LittleBigPlanet 2, Saints Row 2, Just Cause 2, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – PlayStation Plus members will now have a library of games to play in addition to exclusive features like online game saves, automatic updates, priority access to betas, and the best discounts on games, DLC, and other content on the PlayStation Store – all for less than $5 a month. So, why did I just pay for Infamous 2??? Bit of a sneaky one if you ask me. I see a trend happening before me, one week I purchase on PSN+, the next wee its free to PSN+ users… where’s my refund eh???

According to SCEE, most SCEA Plus titles will stick around for 16 weeks before being refreshed.

With SCEE Plus:

1 title will be refreshed every month.

2 titles will be refreshed every 12 weeks.

3 titles will be refreshed every 52 weeks.

I would like to find out how many and how often SCEA Plus games are going to be rotated…

It’s so NICE having a better service than Xbox Live ;) we get free games with our $50 dollar annual subscription. What do they get? The right to play their games online? LOL wow. It’s laughable that there’s even a debate anymore about the better system. Playstation all the way baby ;)

seriously – screw you guys for putting infamous 2 on sale the week before offering it for free. i feel ripped off. i guess i learned my lesson: don’t actually buy anything off of psn because who knows, it’ll probably end up being free eventually. i can’t imagine that’s the message sony was hoping to impart.

Oh, wow.

inFamous 2, R&C All4One, and the Lara Croft are all on my “eventually buy” list . . . now I don’t have to worry about it.

Question though, I already have LBP2 on disc and much of the DLC. Will the free download be compatible with my existing saves and DLC?

Great Analogy, Morgan! PS+ is awesome service, just like Netflix. You don’t own any of the movies on Netflix, but its available to you anytime you want. Why can’t more people have this insight. PS+ is a great Value and I recommend it to all my friends.

Wow, it’s like a bunch of the new Plus members don’t realize that the store (and Nintendo’s stores are the same way) isn’t updated until later in the day.

Don’t worry new subscribers, the update is coming sometime today.

As for buying InFamous 2 and Just Cause 2 when it was an Ultimate Deal, you own it now and the DLC. It was a good deal when you bought it and it still is, the free games are a rental but the discounted ones are yours even after you drop Plus (why would you though?). I like free games but I like discounted ones better. I would like to see every Plus game have a discounted option. Play LBP2 for Free or you can buy it outright for a discounted rate, I would take the latter most of the time.

I don’t mind the loss of mini’s, I never found one I liked. I don’t mind the loss of PSOne Classics, I have bought all the ones I want.

1. To clarify it seems that it’ is like it’s a sort of a new feature on benefit side of PS Plus?
Instant collection feature….( just like sort of Onlive sub but in more intuiteve way (the Sony way) of combining all and at one price
2. Do we get subscription deal on 29th? (15 months) I mean I heve active sub from Day 1 until September 2013 but I most defiantly will stock up hell out of it lol ( I saw value in it way back I save over 2 years not 1000 bucks but over 3000$ over 2 years and with this kind of evalving my savings are just triple.. back days I bought contemnt like : Red ded redomption DLC bandle Killzone 3 bundle few EA bundls and DLC content (incleds Dragon Age II burnautparadays more recent brotherhood DLC MAG DLC bundle LA Noire full set Mafia 2 full set Warhawk DLC Just Cause 2 Mini ninjas got Unleashed 2 Uncharted 2 DLC which are free to PS plus and i am not even close to done with content I own because of this service It’s sure worth more then I paid for
3. @Morgan one rquest ask Capcom if they Agree today lost planet 2 at price of 11 dollars as thwy sell it on capcom store today… I will buy it in split second make it to simbolise the Lot Planet 3 reveal at E3

I LOVE Plus and overall I feel it is a great value (even more so now!) but do feel a bit cheated right now. I purchased Just Cause 2 last week (for a GREAT price) during the much-advertised sale. Seems a bit underhanded that several of the games that were on sale last week are now free. I understand I own the game verses renting, but I would have been more than happy with renting it free.

I’ve been a Plus+ member since day one and I am always amazed at what you do for your subscribers!
And people wonder why I am always hesitant to buy games on PSN, lol!
I watched the whole Press Conference last night on G4, I have to say this was one of the highlights of the show…well that and 3eyond. Happily I only own 2 already, Saint’s Row 2 and Lara Croft, I think I will actually play 4 of them.

thats a very kool list. i sure as hell am running out of HDD space. 50 psn games i got at fulllll price. im sure my hdd space is running realyy low by now. kool for plus members but i prefer these games on disc.

The only one I want is VF5:FS and I’d prefer to /own/ that game rather than just be renting it. :|

Of all the blog posts I’ve read I have seen much grumbling about a “glitch in the system” where people are unable to buy content they’ve gotten from PS+ after their sub runs out. Does that really happen? If so I won’t be downloading VF5:FS. Which would make me really unhappy :(

Putting games on sale the week you plan to give them out to the same people shows extremely poor will towards loyal customers. It makes early adopters feel like idiots twice, one for being taken advantage for already being subscribers, and again being reminded that PS+’s focus is on recruiting new members.

There are arguments that you own the game now, but the choice about whether to buy a game at a discount or simply to play it through the duration of Plus membership should have been given to customers.

As a gesture of goodwill, Sony should definitely offer refunds for inFamous 2 and Just Cause 2.

yeah i can kinda understand why some might be upset a.bout buying jc2 or infamous 2 in the ultimate bundle, but seriously you bought them cause you wanted them, they are yours and both have probably 50+ hours of content. You can be playing those long after your PS+ sub runs out, and with ALL THOSE OTHER GAMES to play, I am amazed at how many are complaining…. jeez what is wrong with those people? Just say thank you , stop whining, clear some hdd space, and enjoy.

IS THIS ONLY GOOD FOR NEW PS+ members or all of use that already have a plus. also will the same saves work for those games if you already played them. just asking due to the last tomb raider game(not the one listed) the save game was not compatible with it
