@452 hate to be that guy but for you to say you bought it just a few hours ago…the news on these games has been up since last night, lol. some people definitely got a right to be pretty mad, though, that’s for sure.
How long will these games be up? I am away from my home on a work assignment and will not have access to my PS3 again until June 16. I have a Vita here with me and a PC but no access to the PS3 version of the store I am already a PLUS member… I’m going to be extremely upset if these things expire before I can get home and mark them as “bought” so I can download them.
With this deal, us Plus Subs are basically stealing them!!! Good Work!!!
When will PlayStation Plus be available on PlayStation Vita?
Woot! Thanks PlayStation!
This is incredible, thank you Sony!
Wow! What a different game Zombie Apocalypse Never Die Alone is. Nothing I suspected!
Yea, I suspected it would be an awesome zombie game, it sucks. Not worth the download, please trust me.
Made the mistake of wasting an hour or two downloading this garbage. On to the next game…
Happened to me with Infamous 2 as well. Don’t forget you bought a FULL license vs. the PSN Plus LIMITED license of the game.
Still pretty nice though!!!!!
Maybe for a future list of Free Games:
Crysis 2
BulletStorm
Kane&Lynch 2
Bad Company 2
Dragon Age
Star Wars: TFU 2
Someone wants to play a Kane&Lynch game?
Hahahahaha, whaaaaaat?

You just need to make a 2nd account, and purchase it there, it will be playable on every account tied to your ps3.
Even if you let your plus lapse, you still can’t BUY a game you already “purchased” for free with plus. That’s sort of bent, but it’s been a problem ever since Plus started.
The way Sony sees it, plus subscribers are worth more financially because they are predictable. Straight game sales can’t always be predicted and not a good idea to base future plans on. So Sony is gonna do what they can to keep people subscribed to plus. I don’t think this is underhanded at all, Sony can plan better for the future of technology and keep gamers happy in the long run.
Although, one thing I do wonder about… I’m gonna have second thoughts purchasing a big title, knowing it’s gonna be free at some point. Could it be they are upping the ante to compete with services like gamefly? I know that these online vouchers are because of services like gamefly. Rentals do eat at the bottom line like you wouldn’t believe. Vouchers if not make up for rentals, at least cover the back end costs of games requiring a server to play.

I’m zombied out, been avoiding zombie titles for awhile now. I get my fill of undead with the good RPG’s that are out. I have my fingers crossed that we’ll see some RPG’s on this Plus list in the coming months. Nothing sells a game system more to me, than an open world immersive RPG. (btw, the fact the PS3 has a Blu-ray player is why I got it, more potential for awesome open-world games with a 50gig disk then a 9.2gig the Xbox has).
#12: Did you think Sony would be giving deals on neeeeeeeew games? This is a great deal; I have Hard Corps, Lara Croft and Infamous2 from way back and they’re all solid. Gonna spend a week DLing R&C b/c like #50, I’m in Brazil too, and there are serious daily DLing caps here. Cheers to Sony and PS+!
Can someone help me out? Something kind of weird just happened when I tried to download one of my free games.
I tried to download infamous 2. It took a while to download, but it finished and I installed to the HDD. However, I noticed that when I installed it, and looked under the info, it said that it would expire in 18 days, and that I had 60 minutes to play the game. So I got a trial instead of the full game apparently. I know for a fact that I purchased the game fromt eh free game section on ps plus.
What could be the problem? I just purchased Ps + today. Is that why its acting up? I haven’t tried playing infamous 2 yet, because I’m afraid that if I play through the trial that I won’t be able to get it for free with my plus membership.
Am I missing something? Is it going to say trial all the time and let me play through the whole game? I was under the impression that when I purchased PS + that I would be able to get all these games for free and be able to play them until my PS Plus expired. But for some reason I have a trial for Infamous 2. Could it be a glitch? Should I try redownloading?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m still waiting for it to download. 8% it’s gonna take all night. If I have the same problem I’ll say so. The expiration date should be when your Plus runs out, it will update every time you add more months to your account. I hope Sony didn’t slip up and put the wrong one on the store. I’ll be urked if I spend 20 hours downloading it just for that.
This really was the best announcement of the show. Of all the shows, really.
I already have a good chunk of those games, but still, this is fantastic. I love the idea of Plus, but I’m just not a big fan of most of the content that had been offered. PSone games and minis just aren’t for me, and I’m not very interested in most PSN games. I like the full retail game experience, so for me, this change is right up my alley.
I’m curious about the fine print of all this though. I hope you guys do a FAQ or sorts like the EU PS blog did. I’d like to know what else I can expect each month.
Oh, and for future reference, I’d love to see Renegade Ops and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath like the EU PS+ got.

Thanks I appreciate that.
I think I know why this is happening though. Its just a hunch though, im not sure.
Last year after PSN went down and we all got the welcome back package, we got a ps plus account for free as well. During my free month I got a free trial of Infamous 2, but I never played it. For some reason I downloaded the trial then. I actually owned the game, got a day one disc copy from amazon. So why I would try to get a free trial is beyond me. I guess I’m random, but whatever.
So I looked in my download list an noticed that Infamous 2 doesn’t show up recently. It shows up 6/25/2011, a full year ago. So do you think it possible that that could be a bug. That maybe my ps3 thinks i purchased the trial from a year ago instead of the full game on psn?
BTW, it took me a long time to download too. It probably took 3 hours to download and another hour to install to the hard drive.
#515 Yeah was getting tired oh the bunch of PS1 games that I’ll probably never play. Also they were handing out all those Sega games and I have them all already on my Ultimate Sega Collection. But once in awhile they hit on something I liked, so I kept renewing my Plus.
More variety helps a lot. Sometimes it seemed like the games for one month were all the same gameplay.
#514 I bet you still had that trial just sitting on your PS3 and the store got confused. I dunno, I still have hours upon hours before I can check mine. I envy you all that have a good connection. I’m supposed to have a broadband connection, but comcast out here in the country rarely lives up to their claims.
Me likes :)
I can’t help but wonder if you guys are insane? These are a ton of games and you’re planning on releasing libraries like this every month? I might have to put my Xbox to the side for a bit. I logged on yesterday for the first time in a while and I honestly thought I stumbled onto a glitch. I was a bit overwhelmed. Kudos though, I can’t wait to come back home from work tonight and start playing VF5 Showdown a little bit more. Thanks for hooking us up big time
Why isn’t this offer on the UK store yet :(
(i’ve looked everywhere on the store)
Okay, so you give a reason as to why Sony America is getting 12 games off the bat, but can you tell me why we in Japan are still stuck with one freaking ps One game per month. I feel like Sony Japan just doesn’t care about its consumers at all. Such a disappointment.
This is a great idea. Makes your sub completely worth it.
Coincidentally my sub ran out a few days before the tweet that said I should keep it. I renewed and am totally satisfied that I did.
Awesome job, Sony.
PART 1
I have been a PlayStation Plus member for at least 2 years now and it’s why my XBox360 collects dust and I won’t be continuing my XBox Live membership (what a waste of money, right?) I think PlayStation Plus is an AMAZING deal and I’ll stay a PSN member for as long as it exists.
But I have one issue. I just purchased the Infamous 2 game during the Ultimate Deal a few days ago and now the regular game version is free. I can’t help feeling like I just had $24 purposely snatched from my wallet. It was a pretty careless thing to do – to promote the deal to PSN members days before releasing basically the same product for free. Had I known this was going to happen, I would have purchased LA Noire. I went back and forth before making my choice and now I feel like I made a $24 mistake. The extra DLC content in no way values at $24 and I think the right thing to do is give PSN Store Credit for those of us loyal members who purchased Just Cause 2 or Infamous 2 just days before their free release. That would allow us to spend that money on another game or other content.
PART 2
It would be one thing if I purchased Infamous 2 closer to its original release or several months ago and have it come up free. At least I’d have had all that time to play the game before it was so easily accessible. But I just bought the game a few days ago! I’m sorry, but it is a punishment to loyal members who have been with PSN for years. The folks in charge *had* to know this was going to work out this way. If not, I seriously question the quality of communication within the company. It’s either a 1) deceptive move to make money or a 2) extremely sloppy move that took money from PSN’s most loyal members.
I don’t want to come off seeming like PSN isn’t a great deal. It is. But this is a tough economy and even $24 is a lot to just let go of for no reason. I’d rather take back the additional DLC for Infamous 2 and get my money back, or get some type of store credit that I can use elsewhere. That would be the right thing to do.
PART 3
I’d absolutely love to hear from someone about this. It seems like Sony really cares about the integrity of their business and they did so much to make things right last year when the network was hacked. Will y’all step up and take care of your most loyal customers by correcting this error as well?
Otherwise, I’m not sure how likely I will be to purchase any other games on PSN for fear that I’ll be paying for something that could easily release for free in less than a week. Oh, I feel duped!
JP
I’m going to be looking into this further. I addressed the concern on the first page, but will be giving the higherups the full download on this issue.
