Which PS Vita titles are you looking forward to playing at launch? Let us know in the comments below.
@HatmanTc
It is a big deal when you have PAID content from the US and JP PSN store, and now you are told that you have to give up half of it, where as the PS3 accepts is all.
All Sony is doing is losing potential sales over this, both of the vita, and of its content.
Thanks RidleysBox…Guess I will just have to wait and see what to do. Hopefully more info will come out. Or I will just save up some points on my credit card and get a 32GB card.
@85 i have to agree with you. the PS Vita is expensive as it is (although its worth the money) and those prices for the memory cards, i was like wow, i think all of those memory cards are at least $5-$20 too expensive (my opinion, remember). makes me wonder why the vita doesn’t come with its own hard drive (could be the umd, does the vita even have a umd, despite one of the pictures above). these are my thoughts atm.
Very awesome news! So glad Shinobido 2 is a launch game. My receipt for the 22nd?
-PS Vita 3G
-Uncharted Golden Abyss
-Shinobido 2
-8gb memory card
-Charge Cradle
-screen protectors
So expensive but it’ll be worth it. Thank goodness for Christmas money ;)
also, one more question, what are the 3g plans for the PS Vita? i would love to know before release date. thanks. :)
or! you could buy an Ipad and play awesome games like, angry birds, and Infinity Blade 2! and, well that’s it…
oh, and how much more would that cost you?
Yet people are whining about EVERYTHING that they’ve announced about this thing.
While i own an Android Tablet and must say,
This thing is well worth every dime that they’re asking for it.
best part of the whole list is uncharted i think.. and maybe super stardust.. cant see buying plants or dungeon hunter again when i already own multiple versions of them already
im waitin for better selections
I think that for some the Vita is expensive, it just depends on how much disposable income you have. Personally this will be the first system I get day 1 cause before I couldn’t justify shelling out hundreds of dollars day 1 and I waited for the price drops….but waiting sucks and when you don’t have to it feels amazing. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed.
Everybody’s opinions are valid, for some its too much and for others the price is just right. Everybody is different.
I can’t wait for the Vita!!!
I loved the PSP and it goes with me wherever I go. It was my music/media player and all around multimedia device that has saved me from boredom. Vita will do an even better job of that.
You will see me Launch Day with…
-3G/Wifi Vita if the pricing is reasonable enough for the 3G service.
-16GB Memory Card (Loving the price point was afraid it was going to be too much)
-Uncharted:Golden Abyss
-SuperStardust Delta
-Escape Plan
Soon after….
-Gravity Rush(MOST WANTED, wish it was release)
-Unit 13
-Disgaea 3
Questions though~
1. I am liking the pricing of everything except where it says “9.99-49.99”??? Please tell me no standard game is going to cost $50. Maybe fore special deluxe releases like many JRPGs did for the PSP but no standard handheld game should ever cost more than 40.
2. What are the plans for the 3G already? Why have we not been told whats happening with this yet. How do you expect anyone to buy a 3G version if they don’t know the pricing structure?
If these could be answered it would be greatly appreciated.
i want uncharted and hot shots golf at launch, but I have a problem with the way the PSN account is linked to the system, If my brother wants to play on my Vita that’s cool but I don’t want him playing with my PSN account, it should be like on the PS3 where you can have multiple accounts
If the 32GB memory cards are sold at $99 does that mean that other retail stores such as Gamestop will lower down their price, because they are selling it for $124.99 (not online)
Cooool. I was prepared to pay the price of a starter kit for just the 4 GB stick alone.
When can we expect to be updated on the 3G model’s plans and pricing. This includes data usage and if it’s unlimited, how much it will cost, if it will only work with AT&T or if other providers’ SIM cards can be used, ect. Thanks!
I really want the Vita, but I am not gonna buy it until LittleBigPlanet Vita is released. Hopefully by then there will have been a few sales that I could get a Vita for..if not I will wait a tad longer.
BUT I am excited to see how the Vita turns out. It is, I think, going to be pretty cool! :D
Don’t you guys think $49.99 for some software is a bit much for a hand held game? I mean come on, $49.99, that’s just $10 cheaper than a PS3 title. Even the HD collection games are around the $39.99 price range with the exception for MGSHD. Now I’m starting to second-guess whether or not I want to purchase the Vita. Too many things keep popping up. One PSN per unit, does not support existing memory sticks, can’t load a game if it needs to save on a memory stick and you don’t have one (you should still be able to play the game) and now $49.99 for a game. Come on Sony, $39.99 should be the most you would ever need to pay for a hand held game.
@82 RidleysBox
Thank you so much, that’s $22.59 shaved off the price :P
@100
yeah that’s a pain, but why does it matter if those are ps3 games? if you did that for psp, you have no right complaining since psp didn’t allow you. it may suck for psOne, but oh well they are cheap anyways. 3DS doesn’t allow multiple accounts portable gaming is made for one persons use not 2 or 4 or whatever so they are not going to do that plus. this makes gamesharing through the 2 accounts unavailable. People have done to much bad to sony for sony to allow unnecessary and unappreciated things like multiple accounts. ps3 allowed it because it`s a home console you plug in and the whole family can play with theyre accounts.
This is awesome. A VITA and a 4GB card won’t even cost me above $300.00. These prices are peanuts compared to what people thought it would be. This is great news and of course then killjoys have to try to kill my buzz. This won’t even put a dent in my wallet. this makes the VITA so much more affordable
I am ok with the memory card prices, they are high, but hopefully they will come down before too long. Maybe they could have used SD cards, but for whatever reason (probably piracy) they needed to create a new card.
Also keep in mind, the price probably has a very high profit margin built in for retailers. If customers are buying a memory card, there is a good chance that customer is not coming back to buy games, so Sony has to throw some money at the retailer as an incentive to carry the cards. That being said, if games are cheaper to offset the fact that we have to buy a memory card, that will pay off for most gamers in the long run.
The fact they got uncharted and shinobido 2 on launch day is just awesome
@RidleysBox
Two accounts huh. Is that how you have that eva avatar? I have never seen that one before. :P
@Playstation
I already own dungeon hunter alliance on ps3, do i have to buy it again via playstation store? because i m not paying 13 dollars for a game i beat twice already, but answer is great =)
btw awesome line up and the price drop on mem cards are great
My body is ready!
I dont know if anyone did a question about this but here i go….
What about the AT&T plans for the 3G version??? that has been suspended in the air for a long time…
how the plan will work? where can we buy it? how much will the plan cost? how much time we will have?
will it be a monthly fee? will u be able to buy the plan via PSN? will there be different plan options??
Thanks in advance.
Hi, these details will be announced in the near future. Stay tuned.
