Get Up to Speed on the 2012 Grammy Award Nominees!

Last night in L.A., the Recording Academy announced its 54th set of Grammy nominees in 78 categories. Kanye West leads the way with seven nominations; as his “Lost in the World” collaborator, Bon Iver has the makings of an Arcade Fire curve-ball for Best Record, Song or New Artist. (sorry to those wanting to start an internet meme – http://whoisboniver.tumblr.com has already been claimed.) In less of a surprise, Adele is positioned in all top categories, going head to head with Bruno Mars in an “it-ain’t-over-‘til-it’s-over,” battle. Hot Chelle Rae– “Whatever
Nashville is considered one of the most significant music hubs in the world, largely concentrated into Country & Folk. However, the “Music City,” also offers other genres of music, propelled by the resources available to a place like Nashville. Hot Chelle Rae is one such case, with its members children of musicians in some of Nashville’s quintessential genres – Country and Christian, respectively. They formed a rock-based, infectious pop sound that skyrocketed them into success over the summer with the song, “Tonight, Tonight.” On their 2nd major label full-length, they are hoping to harness the success of that single and invite fans into everything they have to offer, including the 2nd single, “I Like it Like That.”

Gorrillaz_TheSinglesCollection

Gorillaz – “The Singles Collection
British superstar, Damon Albarn, celebrates his one true success in America with a ten year anniversary package. Gorillaz had massive U.S. hits in “Clint Eastwood” and “Feel Good Inc.”, which each anchored multi-million selling albums. The band’s latest full length, 2010’s Plastic Beach, lacked a standout single, but carried the same boundary breaking fusion of Hip-Hop, Electro and Rock that made critics drool. The Singles Collection is exactly that, a culmination of the best songs from one of the more interesting bands of the last decade.

Recommended Track: “Stylo” (ft. Mos Def and Bobby Womack)

  • I hope the video store and Music unlimited launch soon in Mexico. Thx.

  • I still cannot use the video services because I am unable to deactivate my dead PS3.. As far as I can tell, the new website only allows deactivation of old devices for games.

  • I would like to buy some videos too, but I there is no point. Since I can’t even activate the ps3 I have. The whole deactivate website was just for games. I can’t even deactivate a old psp. So what is the point of buying a vita, if I can’t use videos or game content on it?

As for Mila, she is sexy. I heard she used a butt double.

  • I want this in Europe! if you can’t do all of it, just give it to me here in sweden! :D

  • I want to make a suggestion please…Add ons like these services, let’s dump the Ala Carte. Combine these resources. Make it an option as a package deal. You want us to use everything you offer. Not one or the other. Your splitting your audience up and pulling them in to many directions. PS Plus over here..Music Unlimited Streaming service over here..then Video non streaming service over here.

It’s to many decisions. i would really like to see your services streamlined more. It’s to much of this pick and choose stuff and that makes some buyers standoffish.

You want all of us to have all of your services is my point. Joe and his wife like gaming also and movies and videos but cannot afford 2 to 3 separate services. They need a structured simple plan drawn out for them.

I am a Music Unlimited Subscriber.I am not renewing plus. You should try to keep a customer like me. This should be priority. Package Deal. I know it’s so much easier for you to just discount things but…You really should work on structuring..

    Love you Sony.

  • So I can play online, be PS+, buy or rent anything on the PSN Store… Even NETFIX works… But most of the new Qriocity services like, ahem, Music Unlimited seem to be 100% off limits for me. Something tells me that SONY and SNEI know this stuff and are planing to do something about it… Like make all the features and services be available on all those sweet money making areas(Like Puerto Rico! :P). Right? :) Where do I fill n sign the petition?

  • )I am artist. If I want to sell my music on the iTunes store in Australia and Japan(That is 2 different licence I have to pay for and then another for USA.

(@Buscsa-Cabezas) I am sure Sony Network Entertainment will eventually have it all for us.

  • YESSSSS Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides won the $0.99 movie rental!!!
I’m usually not one for renting videos off the PSN, but these new 99 cent rental deals are sweet!
These are the things that people want to see. Keep up the good work.

  • wow this is incredible oh and hey sony have you ever thought of giving like a 15 day trial fo ps plus or something similar.
