  • The initial email I received simply stated “To download Jurassic Park: The Game free on 11/15, start up your Playstation Plus subscription again by the 8th”. Direct quote which mentioned NOTHING about requiring the full year over the 3 month. I am not amused with the subtle misdirection. Be more descriptive in the future.

  • Okay , I am planning on renewing my PS+ seeing I was one of the first to actually jump on board when was first offered. But serious you feel offering Jurassic Park as an insentive to everyone including Us who already have the plus and what I believe is also crappy is you had some people who had just renewed before this announcement and now you are trying to tell them to add another year on ? Those people should automatically become grandfathered if they renew in last 2 weeks. I personally could careless about JP , want to keep us loyal ones happy, offer us a better free game then ones we never heard of or are your “bottom dweller games” Why not give us COD Black ops for free for renewing for another year Something along that line that will deffinetly make us want to renew ASAP!

  • All I ever read on the blog/forums is whining and crying. Honestly if you don’t like it cancel your renewal and/or sell your PS3, buy yourself a XBOX arcade version. (lol)

Act your shoe size and grow up!

  • Hello, i buy 1 year of PS+ yesterday, the redeen code will send the 15th of november or now? I dont understand that point. Best regards, Martin

  • I don’t mean to be a jerk, but Sony…

For the record, I spent fifty dollars so that I could get a year’s worth of the exclusive offers. Not so that to get the exclusive offers, I’d have to spend more money less than half way through said subscription. I was very excited about the Jurassic Park game, but spending money on video games at the moment on top of medical bills and groceries is simply not an option. I guess it’s a week or two of hydrophobia and back to Guitar Hero till I can afford to dish the dough.

  • I purchased a Playstation Plus membership yesterday by following the link on this site, which directs to Best Buy. It’s been over 12 hours and Best Buy has yet to email me the code. Of course if I don’t receive and redeem the code by today, I won’t be eligible for the promotion – though through no fault of my own. It seems the forcing customers to purchase these account upgrades through a retailer with a less-than-stellar customer service reputation is, in itself, less-than-stellar customer service.

When I am trying to give Sony $50, Sony should make the process as smooth and easy as possible.

  • This promo came out at the perfect time. I just got a ps3 and a year of plus!

  • I have an idea.
New Playstation Plus subscribers (or people who have an extra 50 bucks just layin around to stack another year on) get Jurassic Park for FREE. Obviously, alot of people aren’t too happy about this…
So, to compensate, how about you make Jurassic Park $9.99 for existing Playstation Plus subscribers? That way, people (like me) who already blew over 50 bucks on your October promotion can use our $10 credit to get Jurassic Park. Good idea? Yes it is. Now make it happen.

  • Great offer. Too bad I decided to take the plunge and get Plus on October 29.

Typical business ploy of not telling people earlier than the day before an offer begins. It’s understandable. Similar to how companies might not announce the sale of a new product in order to not hurt the sales of the existing product. In this case, Sony would rather have my money 3 days earlier than having me wait to get it in November, so they can show off their October numbers. They’re probably paying something for each copy they’re giving away, so it also saves them money from people who (re)subscribed early.

  • I did the PS Plus promotion for this on time, but I never got my game code! Can someone help me out with this?

  • Gosh darnit! I just barely missed this deal by about a week. :(

  • They shouldv’e made this for existing PS+ member :/

  • Open (on PS3) Message Box – Received – [PSN] Jurassic Park Game.
    And get JP for FREE.

  • Sony,

This is pretty crap. A lot of us renewed our current subscription literally days before you guys announced the week of reupping from 11/01 to 11/08. I know you put a discount on the game but it’s not even 50% off. I have been with PSN from the start and been with PS+ from the start as well as most of us on here. We’ve been through the up’s and downs while you guys were trying to get the store and + off the ground and hung in there with you but this is pretty bad. I know it’s only a game and I’ll buy it if I want because I can afford it but it’s pretty shady on playstations part. Just sayin…

  • Figured I was set since I have a recurring subscription. Thanks for screwing me on this deal PSN. Maybe be more clear next time? I have been fairly happy with this service up until now.

  • Hi I bought the one year subscription to playstation plus on november 2, 2011, and now I don’t have the option of downloading the Jurassic park game for free, I only get the option of buying it with a 20% discount on the game, why is that?

  • Just Bought A Playstation Plus Card Am I Still Able To Get This. ?
