Just a few days ago we teamed with Subway to launch the full competitive multiplayer experience for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in the United States. We are pumped to see everyone online one month before the full game’s release on November 1st. The PlayStation.Blog spoke with Game Designer, Robert Cogburn, to learn more about what you should do when you first log on to the full competitive multiplayer experience.
When you first get online to play there are some very important menus in your profile to navigate. Not sure what kickback or load outs to use? How do you get more cash and rank up? Want to know Robert’s suggestion for the best guns and load outs for new players? Check out the video for answers to these questions and more valuable information:
Even if you have already jumped headfirst into the action, be sure to watch the video as it will provide some great pointers to help amp up your experience. If you still haven’t made that trip to Subway hopefully this video whets your appetite to get there and dive into the complete Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience.
It’s as easy as picking up any specially marked 30oz Uncharted 3 themed cup, taking the code printed on that cup, heading online to the Subway Taste for Adventure website and redeeming that Subway code. This will generate a PlayStation Store code good for a download of the full competitive Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience!
Don’t forget that not only do you get to be one of the first people to play the full competitive Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience, all aspects of your profile progress earned during the Subway Taste for Adventure carry over into the final retail copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll be rolling out additional updates to the full competitive Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience, including new maps and level cap increases. To kick off the second week of the promotion, we’ll be adding two brand new maps to the multiplayer experience on Monday, 10/10. So you’ll have a total of 8 competitive maps to explore! There also will be more videos with tips and info that will help maximize your Uncharted 3 multiplayer experience. Consider them your field guide and survival guide during the Subway Taste for Adventure and into the full retail release of Uncharted 3.
In-depth details about upcoming updates, the profile carry-over and its finer points, will be forthcoming as we roll up to the launch of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception on November 1st. So stay tuned to the blog for the latest info and good fortune hunting!
The maps are totally AWESOME especially the one with the sand storm EPIC!
Will you all please open this promotion up to Canada? I have a few Canadian friends who want to get into the multiplayer early and try for themselves but there isn’t a promotion available in Canada. I’m even willing to go buy a few more drinks just to get them the codes. PLEASE MAKE THIS HAPPEN!
I really really want that someone on the Naughty Dog read this…you guys spoiled the multiplayer of this game…so I ask why…why you guys made this so different from UC2?…UC2 is the meaning of perfect….the multiplayer is the best ever made….but in UC3 you guys tried to do an FPS…because all that’s missing is the first person view….all that was bad in the beta you guys made even worst…sounds of weapons, menus and layouts, scoreboard, the screen”killed by”,also the score which was up in the middle of the screen now stands in the low right corner and this was the worst idea I’ve ever seen…even the awesome nate’s theme at main menu you guys worsened…also the soundtrack is too weak compared with the UC2,so many FPS elements…what’s the reason for that?…weapon customization?sprint on L3?…WTF?Uncharted is awesome because is not a FPS…now not even need to hide or go in cover…because now its just run and shoot…a lot of confusion.I’m really disappointed…I’m a die hard sick fan of Uncharted and for me is the best game ever made along with God of War….
but I’m sad to say that I’m gonna buy UC3 just for the single-player…I always like single-player more in all games especially Uncharted but I really love Uncharted 2 multiplayer…I still cannot believe the team is doing UC3 multiplayer is the same who made UC2 amazing multiplayer…well the maps on 3 is freaking amazing and also character customization and emblem was an awesome improvement…but I’m really sad to say that UC3 online multiplayer is 90% garbage…I never imagined I talking like this of my beloved game. But the truth is ruthless.
I’m saying this because I played the first BETA and was bad…so I complained at ND official forum for beta…but I ask why you guys talk to people complain and do critics…if you dont read?…..and I played the subway multiplayer so I had my deception…I think the deception of drake is the online of this game.
A sad fan.
HELP please!
The multiplayer lags at the start and end of every match and sometimes completely freezes for 3-6 seconds then goes back to normal. Also I have been completing missions, upgrading boosters, and editing my emblem, but after I disconnect from the multiplayer and come back, everything is gone. I have lost over 15 hours of kills/wins/cash and my upgraded boosters from this issue.
For the first 2 days I played Uncharted 3 multiplayer I had none of these problems.
Hey Eric, I’m loving the MP, and this is a Day 1 purchase (I wonder if my avatar gave it away ha).
But I have an unusual question. I am in love with how you guys use the music in MP. And the song playing in the background in the beginning of the video is one of my favorites. Is there a name for it? I really want to go on Youtube and just listen to it again but I can’t seem to find it.
It’s a track from the Uncharted 3 OST called “Atlantis of the Sands”. We’ll have more information about the OST shortly!
