Thanks Tremulan777! Great info. I like the sound of the Offline co-op!
Please don’t forget about Dark Souls next week…
Does anyone know when these stuff will be aviable on psn? Is it Monday at 12:00 am or do we actually have to wait till Tuesday? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks I’ll be getting HoD
Sorry! Tuesday at 12:00am
Is there anything for old school fans like me to play? I really need more PSone classics like Ridge Racer and Gex: enter the gecko.
@55 It’s always seems to be between afternoon and evening never at Midnight wish it was though.
Thanks, dragon wolf I appreciated can’t wait for castlevania hd…
Finally Ico & and Shadow of the colossus is coming tomorrow can’t wait and play it!!!
Am I the only one who wishes that Sony would spend more manpower, time, and money either improving the PS3’s services and functionality, or trying to get more development done rather than getting 10+ year-old games out for purchase. I’d like to see more PS3 games, not games I can but for a song for a system that I can buy dirt cheap too. I bought my PS3 to play PS3 games, not PSOne and II games.
just waiting for ffv and ffvi. in the meantime, must complete backlog
splinter cell trilogy is 3D too
Got my copy of Ico/SoC collection reserved at work, but any word on the real chrono trigger and final fantasy VI release? :(
Castlevania is up to 6 players? Wasn’t it 4 players? Anyway, I’ll get this game and Bloodrayne tomorrow.
Gonna try out Castlevania, been a fan of the series lately [mind you lately for me has been at least 4 years] though i am sore about the stunt you guys pulled with Chrono Trigger… also Psone classics in general…i never had a psone [ i had a snes and went over to dreamcast..then i was a sony kid] so i missed out on a lot of games, im sure ONE opinion wont matter, but the Playstation nation kind of feels the same way in some form…hoping to see some awesomeness one week at a time..
Have to agree with FRA1Z3R, how is the BF3 beta not listed? Please don’t tell me its getting rescheduled. Also, glad to see Castlevania on the list. 4/5 for not putting BF3 on The Drop.
Aw, man!!
I bought a PSN card since last week waiting for Chrono Trigger…
You teased me with my favorite RPGs ,FFVI & Chrono Trigger. I knew it was too good to be true. I am still waiting for Sony to begin releasing Psygnosis (Studio Liverpool) classic Colony Wars series.
I am happy to see Ico/SotC come out. I will buy it again just to play with better visuals.
Definitely picking up Resident Evil: Code Veronica X, already pre-paid for the disc copy of Splinter Cell collection.
ok good…. now where’s our final fantasy 6 and chrono trigger which were promised last week and then forgotten?
@Kryshalis:
Agreed. It always surprises me when I realize how many current generation titles are really just rehashed/redesigned/re-released versions of older titles many of us have already played…
I’m happy to play some of my favorite PSOne classics on PSP but I’m right there with you in wishing for more original/innovative titles.
People, really….stop complaining about everything, geez.
Anyway; CV:X rounds up my PS3 RE collection, so I’m quite hyped about that. Castlevania looks nice, too, so I might check that out. As for ICO/SotC, I’m waiting on some opinions on those before I try them out.
Chrono Trigger is slated for early October release, Final Fantasy 6 sometime later. That is what I heard anyway. THEY WILL NOT BE RELEASED AT THE SAME TIME. That would be pure idiocy to release two same genre games from the same company at the same time. Why gimp your potential profits?
I may buy FF6, but Chrono Trigger nah. Its not that good and I played through it once already.
It is a bit alarming to me that people seem to get more excited about old games or HD re-releases. Well probably not, older game fans are just more loud when it comes to complaining. Gotta love that false sense of superiority that you find on JRPG fans.
@ 173
Would love to see the “source” of the that info. Thats all we need another flame war like last week with the NON DROP of FF3/CT. And if they were released at the same time, that wouldnt effect profits one bit. The games are classics, simple as that. People get excited about older games, because quite frankly. A few of the older ones are better than todays. The 2 games (FF3/CT) defined the SNES era of gaming in the RPG world and those old enough to remember should know what I mean.
Please have Ico & Shadow of the Colossus collection on PSN for download soon, PLEASE!!!!!!! =(
Whatz with not releasing th BF3 open beta yet. i bre-ordered and bought medal of honor. it sead it would be released sept 27th. that should have been put up at 12:00 AM PST. WTF. come on i did my job sony do yours.
What’s the deal with ICO/SotC cover art? I thought there was a reversible cover sleeve with decent art on the inside. Just opened my Canadian retail version to find plain white on the inside of the cover. Now I’m stuck with the atrocious box art.
Splinter Cell looks interesting but in all honesty I don’t see it being worth the money no matter how many they bundle together since its going to look and feel very dated. Ico/Shadows is a must buy even though my PS2 copies of both are near bye :) Only problem is I would rather see all the remastered games as a PSN download so it looks like I will be waiting for that. Maybe I’m just getting lazy but large HDD’s are dirt cheap and less disc swapping and storing makes download games all the more appealing :)
It would be great to see more new BDROM games ported to PSN also but I suspect its a whole lot of work and probably some data size issues there as well. Its starting to happen but it really blows when most full games offered are games we have all owned for the last few years. Greatest hits games seem like a perfect fit for PSN imho I’m kind of undecided but I paying the same full retail price for a download game vs BDROM might be asking a bit much ?
What do you guys think ?
I’ll be getting Rochard and Castlevania!
What about PSN-version of “ICO and Shadow of the Colossus Collection”?
wow, you know what i can’t believe…no 1 has made a comment about the drop symbol…really no1 notices what the symbol looks like? on top of it did any1 notice where the put the symbol on the colossus…th@s hilarious…lol
