New Releases on Music Unlimited:
Lady Antebellum – Own the Night
The Tennessee trio was already enjoying success in the Country music world before the release of 2009’s Need You Now, but few could have predicted the massive crossover success of the self-titled track. “Need You Now” went to #2 on the Billboard Pop charts, won Grammys for Song and Record of the Year and sold multi-millions to fans far beyond Nashville’s borders. Mainstream success lead to the debut of their new single, “Just A Kiss,” on the finale of American Idol. All this makes Own The Night one of this year’s most anticipated albums.

Anthrax – Worship Music
Anthrax has shown amazing resilience over a 30 year career. More than 20 people have at one time called themselves a band member, (including four lead vocalists), with only the iconic Scott Ian on guitar for the entire duration. All the genre defining records; Among the Living, Spreading the Disease, Persistence of Time were recorded under the “classic lineup” fronted by Joey Belladonna, and reunion tours with the enigmatic singer never lasted long enough to make it back to the studio. Until now! Between “Big 4”concerts with the other titans of American Thrash, Metallica, Megadeth and Slayer, the group finally delivers with, Worship Music. Comic fans may find familiarity with the album cover designed by DC and Marvel veteran, Alex Ross.

Recommended Track: “The Devil You Know”
The Kooks – Junk of the Heart
One of the biggest and best Britpop bands in the world, The Kooks are known in some U.S. circles more for their Michelob Ultra commercial jingle, (Check out, “Shine” from 2008’s Konk), than their two fantastic albums. The band has been putting extra emphasis on the States with Junk of the Heart, starting with a club tour this summer to test the material in venues far smaller than their growing fan base demands. If you like what you hear, be sure to check them out on their return trip to the U.S. this November and December.
