We are excited to announce that PlayStation has partnered with DIRECTV to bring its popular sports subscription service, NFL SUNDAY TICKET, to the PlayStation 3 game console. PlayStation owners across the country will now have the opportunity to watch every out-of-market Sunday game on their PS3.
How do you get in the game? At the start of the season, viewers who do not currently have access to DIRECTV will be able to subscribe to NFL SUNDAY TICKET at the season price of $339.95. Existing DIRECTV customers who already have NFL SUNDAY TICKET and NFL SUNDAY TICKET To-Go through DIRECTV can access the service on their PS3 for no additional charge.
NFL SUNDAY TICKET is a DIRECTV-exclusive sports package that offers:
- Up to 14 NFL games every Sunday
- Full HD for every football game
- DIRECTV’s Red Zone Channel
We know that PlayStation fans are huge sports enthusiasts, so adding NFL SUNDAY TICKET is the perfect complement to the PS3’s rapidly growing lineup of sports entertainment, including MLB.TV and NHL GameCenter. We’ll have more info, including a video tutorial and sign up information on the blog shortly. I hope you’re as excited for the football season as we are.
Okay, so I signed up and it seems like the quality is not that good when they show the DirecTV commercials. Hopefully the live games will be better.
I was tempted to signed up for this during the weekend, but I’m confused about the pricing. I downloaded the APP on the PS3 and it says 84.95 (4months). I’m not a direct TV customer but if they’ll take sale in installments then I can definitely do this. But 340 up front is a lot. Can anyone clear this up?

Is their anyway to hook up a PS3 to a N series router wireless. Even with a adapter? I have it hooked up to a G series now but upgraded my internet speed and figure if I can get better speeds wireless..why not go for it.
Anyone have any info, please let me know.

$300+ to watch 14 games. That is way too much. I would be willing to pay $10-$15 maybe $20 a game

Watching red zone channel right now (9-11-11 – opening Sunday morning) and its BUGGY AS HELL. I’m getting about 20-30 seconds of coverage then it jumps/freezes/buffers and shows 10 seconds of commercial thens switches to a random part of the show – often repeating something it just showed… TERRIBLE SO FAR… it better not be this bad when the games start
Ditto here. as of 10:40am EST, buggy and NOT HD. Anyone else have this?

Crystal clear HD quality for me, looks great.
Its jumping between different channels because thats what the redzone channel does
Are you sure, I have redzone on comcast, and it doesnt do that, are the games going to be like this also?

I will make final judgement in exactly 40 minutes when the games start, if it still sucks you better believe sony is going to refund my money, this is what happens when a free trial isn’t offered

called 800-345-sony, they are getting tons of calls from pissed of football fans, had me do the standard unplug modem stuff and then restart the PS3 in safe mode and deleting and re-installing the sunday ticket APP, yeah nothing worked so they told me to call direct tv
oh, and my internet speed just tested at 25.76 Mbps

Yeah, game fox pregame just pausing every couple seconds, hopefully buffer will improve and that will stop
If they tell you unplug the PS3, etc. just ask them then why does Hulu and Netflix work fine? lol, they are just handing out excuses while they try and figure it out

OOOOOps!, it just jumped back to Frank Caliendo randomly. Anyway, suffering through this week may have to happen, hopefully an update will be downloadable this next week (or they increase their load capabilities to match – whichever it turns out to be)

Jumped back to Frank AGAIN… this is what the red zone channel was doing this morning, its like when its not getting a feed, its pulling video out the buffer its already played. I’m no expert, who knows
Refund for a week please. I have 20mbps down and 6 up and this thing is freezing on every channel now after 10 seconds. When a channel comes in for those 10 seconds its jumping around from sequence to sequence (non redzone)

yeah, even if they fix this by the late games, I didnt pay for this to watch anyone in a late game today
I am getting alot of freezing as well and definitely NOT HD quality. Extremely pixelated…I have 55Mbps dl and 15Mbps up… If I wanted this kind of crappy video, I would get the NFL stream on one of those shady sites… I actually think they freeze up less.. $340 for this!! Not a happy NFL fan or a happy PSN user. Wish Xbox Live would have gotten this too… Never have issues like this on LIVE…
so far the individual game feed is good, its the stuff that is national (common to all channels – guy playing taps) that is sucking

Feed is getting better….. Not as much pausing… we’ll see what happens during the game. I actually think I could have gotten Cleveland Browns season tickets for the same price as this…

Oddly… my commercials are running better than the game…. I hope they sort this out by next week or I may be joining another class action suit…
