Starting soon, the PlayStation Network will be inaccessible for several hours for maintenance. The server maintenance performed at this time represents a crucial step in the full restoration for PSN, including the PlayStation Store.
During this maintenance period, users will be unable to sign in to PSN, though those that are already logged in should be able to remain online.
Resumption of full PlayStation Network service is still on track for this week in most regions.
Thank you once again for your patience as we work to return PSN to the highest level of service.

@880…the quote you’re reading off is from May 24th I think…it’s not from today (June 1st). The person being quoted was saying that the PS3 store would not be up on the 24th and they were targeting May 31st to restoration to all services (hence the “end of the month”).

Dude….really? All the money they spent was to appease us and the courts. It has nothing to do with them caring about us. They care about our money. If we are happy, we spend money on their product, if not we go elsewhere. So do they care about our happiness with their product? Yes, but it has nothing to do with our well-being. It is for selfish reasons. If not, then they would have spent more money on a better, more secure security system in the first place and none of this would have ever happened. Also, they sent a memo to developers(people who will make them money once the store is up) as opposed to customers(whom,as long as the store is down, don’t need to know nothing.)
Sorry for venting, but I’m sick of people sticking up for Sony so much, when they screwed up, pure and simple.
I tried to pull up the store from media go and it says a new verision is required and no I’m not trying to get anyones hopes up.

Well the May 24th rumor could have been handled better. Being told the May 24th rumor was false on May 24th (and not days prior) was a letdown. Not saying who let us down with waiting on making that announcement because I’m not officially badmouthing anyone
