Starting soon, the PlayStation Network will be inaccessible for several hours for maintenance. The server maintenance performed at this time represents a crucial step in the full restoration for PSN, including the PlayStation Store.
During this maintenance period, users will be unable to sign in to PSN, though those that are already logged in should be able to remain online.
Resumption of full PlayStation Network service is still on track for this week in most regions.

i meant LBP not wipeout and i had the demo of wipeout and i guess its ok but the graphics are outstanding if they ever did that with other games I’d definently buy if u got this playing at 1080p its amazing but i play on 1080i :( so i don’t get the full experience

@ Ikiru_XIII … I bought one at a yard sale for 5 buck. but it didnt have the ylod.. It was turning off as soon as you push the button.. so I bought a new power supply for it and that didnt fix it so I put the old power supply back on it and it started doing ylod.. so I tried the heat gun thing and it didn’t work : ( .. probably because it didn’t have ylod at the begining or something.. i dono

Well I took the harddrive out and tryed turning it on and it did the same thing.. not sure if that would make a diffrence though

I’d suggest getting a ps3 new or used from a store instead of Garage sale because you never know wether it works or not and if it doesn;t u can always return it

Everyone needs to calm down!!! LOL See there are several things in play here.
1. We don’t pay for this service so Sony doesn’t have to answer to us. (Yes some do play, but the service is Free)
2. Trust me they want the Store up as soon as possible because they are loosing a TON OF MONEY! Plus 3rd party vendors are loosing money which you know they are giving Sony Hell also.
3. People threatening to sell their PS3’s doesn’t bother them… Know why? Because they are not going to loose business because the person you sell it to is going to register on PSN and end up buying something. So getting mad and telling them you’re selling your PS3 and buying a Xbox 360 only makes them laugh at YOU.
Bottom line is it will be up when they decide it’s safe to put it up. They don’t have to tell us anything. Yes I’m not happy they are lying to us about dates and so on. They shouldn’t give us a date and not stick to it or leave us in the dark by NOT responding and saying there is a another delay or set another day. Instead they just don’t say anything, BUT then again it goes back to what I said in #1.
I can tell you this… It will be up by E3 Expo: June 7 or they will be the laughing stock of E3.

if its a first gen from a garage sale or wherever you got it then its gonna be pretty hard to fix since its about 4-5 years old. You could fix it but it’d cost you some cash.Probably a lot. Does it look like its in good condition or not.

As much as I don’t want a slim cause the Phat’s where its at. I’ll go ahead and get a slim with the best buy warranty and maybe a cooling unit just in case. I’m taking no chances next time.
yea it was in good condition.. im starting to think the motherboard is somehow fried.. so ima try to get a broken on off ebay and try to make a frankenstein…. again I’m have a working one I use to play with.. this is just a project.
@811 I really don’t even think that some of the people saying that they’re selling their ps3 are really selling it. The PS3 is so awesome that you really can’t sell it for something like this.
idc i got the 120gb for about. 250 bucks, it came with R&C and LBP1 so i dont care plus ive only used 20gb
psn still down store coming back tonight it have 2 if psn for so long
ure probaly rite bout the motherboard and does the cooling engine work cuz theres a knob that u turn i believethat controlls the cooling fan(Dsoz for typos typing with one hand xD)

i got the 250GB in July. 750GB hard drive for a ps3 (5400 rpm notebook hard drive) on newegg. cheap and its a western digital. good price and good company. been using newegg for 4 years and no problems with anything i have bought from them.
