Starting soon, the PlayStation Network will be inaccessible for several hours for maintenance. The server maintenance performed at this time represents a crucial step in the full restoration for PSN, including the PlayStation Store.
During this maintenance period, users will be unable to sign in to PSN, though those that are already logged in should be able to remain online.
Resumption of full PlayStation Network service is still on track for this week in most regions.
Thank you once again for your patience as we work to return PSN to the highest level of service.

sure like they care how really tired you are, sure this outages are annoying but complaining will only get you an ulcer size of a baseball, nobody likes psn getting shut down for maintenance but is better then being 3 weeks of outage so here have a napkin clean those tears, and understand if theres no maintenance theres no psn store.

I’ll just say it once: Anyone who is “switching” makes no sense. It’s not like consoles are as expensive as they were 3 to 4 years ago. You can buy both for less than what it cost for a single PS3 back in 2008. There’s no reason to throw your eggs in ONE basket these days.
As for 458 – Give me a break. Having used both extensively, the online component of XBL is leaps and bounds better than PSN and is worth paying for. PS3’s strength is in it’s exclusives, which blow away Microsoft’s dwindling library, but don’t try to make PSN into something it’s not. Microsoft at least understood that online gaming is a social construct and built Live around that concept. Sony is still trying to figure out how to pull all the elements together.

@465 I have beaten LA Noire, and it was to be the best game I’ve played since Red Dead Redemption. I mean, I’ve played Black Ops, and I love it. The same with a lot of games. But you don’t get so involved in a game in any other videogame I’ve played in my entire life. I mean, you transform into Cole Phelps, and you feel like you’re a real cop. Sometimes it’s slow, so don’t go around looking for a game filled with adrenaline. It’s a detective game, and a very intelligent one. It’s a complete new genre of videogames, so don’t expect something you have played before :)
I would like to say that by postin this post up today meant alot to me for a person that works from home and also plays alot, youve grown alot since the outage and i wanted to thank u. This is the communication that all the concumers were talkin about. As long as u guys give us the heads up everytime the psn is gonna go down we shouldnt have a problem, WITHOUT PSN STORE sony has gain my trust once again just for communicating thats all i ask…you guys should think about doing this more often then maybe just maybe the cry babies will get a heads up on when they should start crying lol thanks sony once again…

i find black ops to be bogus. last time i tried playing an online mach it would either get to a lobby then kick me out or never find a lobby at all and kick me offline and i have a perfect connection. I have found MW2 to be a better CoD exp.
It would be sweet if i got home from wok tomorrow and saw it up.

Hell, I think that we should all get a 20 or 50 dollar card and spend it on the PSN to show our support. Really since all the “News” sites are saying that nobody is going to buy from the PS store after they get their new games, and I am sorry but there is no excuse they are giving you, a Max of $60 of free games and a minimum of $30. Buy some developer stuff to show them that we support Sony and the developers that support Sony! But I don’t care about this downtime, some LA Noire to be had!!
