  • escalation cums out this friday so it best be up by then

  • @1046: While there are no guarantees of absolute security online, Sony was demonstrably incompetent with securing our user information. Security is the onus of the service provider, otherwise you are playing with fire. Sony chose to cut corners and not patch their servers. They are reaping what they had sown. Inarguably, the hack was morally wrong, but so was Sony’s carelessness with our personal information on insecure infrastructure. The hackers are certainly villains in this but Sony’s no innocent victim.

  • Lets see since things are getting rather boring on here now, SONY get a hold of DISNEY and SQUARE ENIX I want a new KINGDOM HEARTS GAME for PS3, I want SUPERNATURAL the video game, Anyone else out there with a few requests? I mean if we are gonna be ignored might as well get some insight from everyone else

  • Alas my friends and frenimies I must go as I do actually have things to do today, but only today Sony. Tomorrow I will be back telling how stupid this is. Til then I will enjoy some Trailer Park Boys live.
    Long live bubbles.

  • got my psn card and im ready to buy escalation when the store is up and running and when they announce it

  • i want a free game every month

  • I must say midknight the Supernatural game would be awesome. I will admit it would keep me from listening to the old lady complain about flight simulator x cuz its “boring” She loves that show and I will admit a weakness and say it is actually a good show. Not to mention she wants to leave me and marry Dean. lol
I AGREE Supernatural and a new Kingdom hearts game as the last one was off the charts for cool.

  • Seeing will be believing

  • xX-StolenSoul-Xx

For some odd reason i doubt this, i love sony for real i do, but they always make deadlines and they never happen.
Their was suppose to be maitnence today but for some odd reason it was delayed? maybe it was to bring back the store and something happed? i would just ignore this week and give it next week.

It would be funny seeing them go into E3 without the Store though.

  • Yeah Ive been dying for a KINGDOM HEARTS GAME since PS3 came out, Birth by Sleep was supposed to be for PS3 then they changed that to PSP. And that is the only set back for SUPERNATURAL the game, my wife would try to take over my PS3 then. However I bet based on the show, it would definitely be one hell of a game

  • guys im being a fan of playstation since ps one and im very glad u came back for this criminal attack you guys are the best in computer entertainment u deserve the best thank u for the PLAYSTATION!!!! LONG LIVE TO THE PS [DELETED]!!!

  • sony said that the playstation store deadline was supposed to be today, 5/31/11. what happened to that date?

  • actually if it wasn’t up for E3 it would be a disaster for them as game developers need them to promote their games and if they thought they were failing to live up to their expectations would possibly lose contracts

  • I think I saw this headline before. Oh!… Wait… I even think it was here, on this very site… Like what? A month ago?

Jokes apart, I just hope this time is for real.

  • @1060 AHHHHHHH the new Post they put out last night I would guess

  • I’d like to add that I did something stupid. I had the same password on my PSN as I used for my Facebook, email and Twitter. All three got hacked within the last month. If any of you out there are using the same password you had set up on the PSN before all of this, I would suggest changing it and double checking your security questions. I don’t use that email or Twitter very often, so I didn’t realize it until weeks after it happened. But, whoever stole the information IS using it. My Twitter was linking to some site in Sweden.

  • I’d love for the DS port of FF3 to hit the PSP – with the redone graphics? It was such a nice mix of modern portable graphics and classical rpg system would be a fantastic addition to the PSP library.
And could someone convince Atlus to make 3d-dot-game-heroes portable? That’d be AWESOME.

  • They can promote games all they want. I wont buy digitally until Im sure everything works again. 3 months Ill wait. I haven’t had access to anything I purchased in my download list this entire time. I dont want to deal with it anymore.

  • @1063 sorry i didnt see it

  • I’m too excited. I keep checking the playstation Blog obsessively. I don’t think the store will come out today though, in fact, I think this post was to lower our hopes for the store coming back today. But it’s alright.

  • Finally! Now I can buy DLC for Dissidia 012!

  • is the chain letter about the free escalation map pack true?

  • Lets see list of games I would want them to make? Im sure the hardcore gamers remember SEGA GENESIS which for the time it was the pinnacle of game systems, I would love a modern remake of ETERNAL CHAMPIONS, and laugh if you will but I think an updated version of ECCO the DOLPHIN would be amazing considering the graphics we have now. PS3 definitely needs some new hardcore RPGs. I really miss the actual FINAL FANTASY series, I mean FF13 is pretty cool, but nothing compared to FF7(which is the best of all, Sephiroth is he BOMB) and also liked FF10.

  • @1052 yeah a new kingdom hearts would be awesome..i loved the first one

  • Took over 40 days for a major corporation to fix an issue brought on by a few hackers. Nice job guys. At least you tried.

  • i just want my free games

  • @guitar
you are good dude Im just messin, if we don’t joke around this BS with SONY is gonna get us all at each others throat. Think thats just what Sony wants, takes the pressure off them

  • @1071 – give Shining Force to a competent studio and that could be a deeply satisfying reboot!

  • now that I notice how active this blog is… has anyone got an idea about the free games they’re giving us..
I mean – if those games are from the PS+, after a month… will you need to resubscribe to PS+ for them to work again?

  • Yeah thats true, Hell I’ll take a fresh reboot of SWORD OF VERMILLION, now theres an old game. definitely showing my age on that one, no one probably ever heard of that RPG

  • @ 1050

You know what cum is right

  • the games are yours forever….the stuff on plus runs out after the 30 days

  • No SONY post that when they told us about the welcome back swag, once downloaded the games will be ours to keep FOREVER

  • @midknight24 thanks and i live on the east coast and sony posts 9pm west coast time and i dont like staying up until 12 to get them and also i dont get on the blog in the morning so i dont usually look until 3 eastern time

  • so the games won’t be “deactivated” after the plus runs out.. thank you for that :)

  • duuuuuude! finally!!! i just want my games bro. i crave the games

  • Awesome, glad it’s coming back!

  • you can say that again.. I crave for dead nation and QFB SO BAD…

I’m 37 and have been gaming since around 83′ so yea i have heard of and played it lol

  • @guitar247

Its straight man, Im on the east coast to, just since the hack kinda got used to getting on here all the time, its actually pretty cool once your past all the haters and SONY SCROTUM JOCKEYS you can friend me if ya want, since PSN went down traded all my good games but will definitely getting some back soon

  • Man, I’m just pumped to be able to get Infamous and LBP for free, Red Faction Battlegrounds for free when I preorder RFA, and then the Borderlands DLC Bundle for $30. Five games for the price of 1.5? I can’t wait.

  • u said the 30 and activision stuck to there promiss so why cant yoy get the store up so we can buy call of dead allready

  • Ya my Black Ops Disk Flatlined today bummer… no esceloation

  • PS Store returns this week huh? I wonder where I heard that one before? Kinda sounds like “PSN will be up in the next day or two”…..”PSN will be restored by the end of the week”…”We just need a few more days”. How bout you not say anything remotely close to a date unless you know 100% that it will ACTUALLY happen within that time. I believe the PS store will be back this week, just as much as I believe those spam messages about $50 psn cards for forwarding the message on to 10 friends are legitimate!!

  • nope not true about the chain mail no free escalation i called them about it it is a false letter no free escalation maps

  • @DEATHSPEAR yeah SWORD OF VERMILLION was kind of a tight game for its day and age, I loved it when NINTENDO tried to reboot SHADOWGATE for the 64 but that sucked wish theyd give that a shot on PS3

  • for the people who hasnt got Infamous yet… the ending is AWE – SOME

  • yeah escalation just showed up for no reason

and i cant get it wtf

im mean im going to get it when store comes back up

  • i have 10 cards ready to go.. lets do this..

  • If I remember right Sony said something in a previous article about the store working “by the end of the month”, not the beginning. We’ll wait and see, but if Sony goes back on their word this time, I’m selling my PS3.
