Identity Theft Protection Offer for PlayStation Network and Qriocity Customers

Starting today, PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders in the United States can begin the enrollment process for the identity theft protection program by visiting http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. We are also notifying customers of the enrollment landing page via email, which you will receive in your inbox this week.

As previously announced, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have made arrangements with Debix to offer the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection program to PlayStation Network and Qriocity customers who are concerned about identity theft following the criminal cyber attack on the network. AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help protect you from identity theft. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.

In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with active accounts as of April 20, 2011.

  • Can we please get an update on the Playstation Store!!!! At least tell us when it will be back online!! It should not take this long!!! Cant possibly be as complicated as fixing the network!!!! I have things pending for download but cant get to the STORE!!!HURRY UP PLEASE!!!!!! If the store is not back by the end of the weekend YOU LOSE A FAN AND WHEN I GO MY FRIENDS GO WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Nah, Don’t even have an XBOX, So IM no SCROTUM JOCKEY, instead I prefer to at least be honest. I was one of the most loyal SONY fans until they think that we will learn to just wade through the crap the are trying to feed us. I’ve thanked Sony for bringing online play back and apologized for being as harsh on them as I was. However, Do you seriously think that SONY has been doing all they can to get the store and other services back up? All the “working around the clock”, what has gotten accomplished besides online gaming? Exactly, you have no answer because SONY, hasn’t scratched there NUTs and provided you with one yet.     I feel bad for Sucker Punch..they have to release a game that they werent even able to test the online part properly. They were supposed to have a scheduled beta and they werent able to because of the store being down.

    Im really surprised that inFAMOUS 2 wasnt pushed back.

  • I feel bad for all the Devs. With the PS Store still being down, you’d think there would be more informative posts about it coming back instead of just jumping back into posting about games you can’t even try out or anything. However this is from a company that took almost a month to let people know that their personal info was taken. Way to hang on to the ball SONY.

  • honestly there should be 1 game we pick from the entire store while 1 should be from that list , since there is only one damn game on that list i want , or add resident evil 5 to the list and ill be happy, or give us a credit to our account that would add up to two games so we can chose to either get a game or a add on , but honestly you guys are being way to vague on timelines and details , oh and Canada sucks to be you

  • @887 no aslong as there services are down there is no physical way to recieve anything from PS Store. Hopefully Sony will start getting better at customer service and care instead of leaving the masses not knowing what to do or whats going on. Hopefully(doubtfully) my respect for sony will be changed by the mass histaria there causing globaly to gamers. Sigh Sony I ones held you up as a important company for my families entertainment seems Microsoft and LG are soon to have my family business. Instead of being messed around with by Sony’s lack of customer care

  • @888 There customer service package is fair in my eyes. They could have not given us anything and i wouldnt have thought otherwise. Whats pissing me off so much is seeing all these poor people with questions un answered when it takes 2mins to make a simple post answering them. The customer service package shouldnt be the main thing in anyone worries. It should be that SONY is taking the steps to make there company right by being more customer freindly.   • Have any of you considered that Sony can’t post anything at this time because of the fact that they don’t want more people pissed off. Yes it ticks people off but think about it. They say for example only ” The store will be open on the 28th.” The 28th roles around and it’s not up. People get more ticked off. That’s why they say stuff like we expect or estimate it will be back up by the end of the month. They are working on getting it back up and as a result of all changes that need to be made have to make sure it’s functioning before release. They have said as more information becomes available they will let us know. Clearly someone within Sony hasn’t given the word to tell us.
