Starting today, PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders in the United States can begin the enrollment process for the identity theft protection program by visiting http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. We are also notifying customers of the enrollment landing page via email, which you will receive in your inbox this week.
As previously announced, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have made arrangements with Debix to offer the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection program to PlayStation Network and Qriocity customers who are concerned about identity theft following the criminal cyber attack on the network. AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help protect you from identity theft. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.
In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with active accounts as of April 20, 2011.

I know this has nothing to do with all the other posts, but has anyone else been having problems with black ops-zombies? since the network went down, our game is not working right, cant see your guns sometimes, dont hear the start of the new rounds, dont hear the guys talk or hear when people get perks…then all of a sudden every few minutes or so every sound plays at once, and then you can see your gun again, but then it all happens again…it also happens when we play two players off line, i’ve reinstalled the game like 10 times now, it works for a few matches then goes back to the way it was…any help would be appreciated, or let me know if it is happening to anyone else to and that i’m not alone

I know is out of the subject, but I’m playing Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom and I think this game is great. I wish people give it a shot instead of making a mountain out of a small detail.

I bought my PS3 the day the network went down. Had no idea. So I got to suffer the outage without being an official member, and no compensation. Still waiting for the store to be back up so I can install Hulu and Netflix. Sucks to be me, I guess.

i love how sony ducks and dodges all the questions about the playstation store. AIMING TO HAVE IT UP BY THE END OF THE MONTH IS NOT A SOLID ANSWER, ITS THE 26TH SO YOU GUYS HAVE ABOUT 5 DAYS TILL THIS MONTH IS OVER SO TECHNICALLY ANYTIME BETWEEN NOW AND THEN IS “THE END OF THE MONTH”. AND WITH YOUR TRACK RECORD REGARDING DEADLINES I HIGHLY DOUBT THE STORE WILL BE BACK BY THEN ANYWAYS. Did anyone else try deleting their black ops game data while psn was down and is now left with the store not back up and no map pack that i paid 15$ so i can’t even use it……Ugh i need the store back up so i can complete my transaction again.

Sony, when is the store back up again? I don’t want an official date just a guess so I don’t have to access the store every day. I don’t mean to rush you guys but seeing how it’s almost the end of the month (May) I can’t help but ask.

So in other words we get 12 months of protection well if the hackers really did get info on us the guess all they have to do is wait for the 12 months to be up and ta da they steal the identities then. good job telling them exactly how long they need to wait.
And people need to stop asking when the store will be up they said in the last post that it should be up by the end of the month so at latest just another 5 days. it wont kill you to wait a couple more days. jeez you people are ridiculous.

Another thing is you people talk like your high and mighty and say that sony cant do anything right and they are taking to long to bring things back online. the thing is half of you people would look at sonys programs and blank out because you wouldnt understand any of it programing isnt a one two step process it takes time it takes brains which most of you dont have, and unless you can begin to grasp algorithm you would be able to program things even close to what they do so stop talking like you know everything.

I changed pw as requested and i’m in, no problem… (no store but big woop) my eldest son changed it too and is in.. but my other son cannot sign in or restore his pw. tried to reset and no mail was sent… any suggestions?

So if you sign up for the id protection they can cancel it as need be. Second of all why don’t people just email sony support about when the network will be back up. Asking on here won’t give you the answers you want.
Sony has presented us with a very sincere business opportunity, of that I am sure. I’m not telling you that you should not take the deal. I would just like to say that we are talking about personal information (consumer data), and here you are so willing to hand it over to another corporation that you know nothing about.

Identity Theft Protection seems like a very smart way to go IF, IF IF IF, you are in such a position as that you have thousands and thousands of dollars available through your line of credit and/or you have reason to believe that your possessions raise you to some sort of elevated “financial genius” of properties who has more than they need, and plenty to steal. Most of us struggle just to make ends meet, some are over-extended all across the board. I guess I’m a bit more humbled, and can’t imagine anyone wanting to be me.
The rest of you children need to S T F U and stop whining, the adults are busy working, and talking this thing out. Think before you speak… and be resourceful and informed before you hand your info to ANYBODY!!!

I like how people are freaking out like without online capabilities for the time being, Sony will just go under. I guess small brains don’t retain information, like what we did when online gaming was only on PCs

Nope the store is still down. Remember if a company uses the words “We expect” or “We estimate” it normaly means by the end of that time frame or before that services will be back up.

Hey sony thanks for all your hard work on making this safe for us to use, but I have had one concern for a longtime. I had around 17 dollars in my account left over from a gift card and I was wondering, is it still going to be there?
I haven’t seen anything saying that funds would be missing once stuff came up.

@794 it’s estimated to be back up by the end of the month. Which means any time possibly but no one knows for sure.

@795 from what I read you will not be charged durring the 12 months. Now according to the terms and conditions they can cancel your services at any time they want. They don’t ask for a credit card and have different levels of services.
