Starting today, PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders in the United States can begin the enrollment process for the identity theft protection program by visiting http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. We are also notifying customers of the enrollment landing page via email, which you will receive in your inbox this week.
As previously announced, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have made arrangements with Debix to offer the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection program to PlayStation Network and Qriocity customers who are concerned about identity theft following the criminal cyber attack on the network. AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help protect you from identity theft. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.
In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with active accounts as of April 20, 2011.

A week before this was originally announced that it might happen I took and protected myself with LifeLock. No, this isn’t an ad for them but I’ve did the research and found this will help me. Thanks though for the idea.

To every single person who has complained, threatened to go to another company and thrown a fit like a little kid I have something to say to you. Sony is not perfect, no one is. Anyone can get hacked regardless of what you think. Is the Welcome Back package perfect? To some yes to some no. Should the store be up. Of course but we have to wait. Everything single person who has done more whineing then a kid in a toy store at Christmas needs to realize this, Sony is not regular America. They are a corporation and as such they have rules and guidelines they have to follow. Yes these things could have been handeled a little better. But think if you had to follow rules like they do would you act the same as you are now? It will be up when it’s up.

at @715 truth hurts doesn’t it. You work for a big company and have to follow rules and be told what you can and can’t say. Be told hey this is coming out but you can’t say the date or tell people about the product or be fired. I’ve got games I want to play but can’t. Am I upset? A little but I know that there is nothing I can do and things take time to fix.
All it takes is one person to start it up and let the ranting begin again. or everyone can just wait and see in peace, and play some games.

@718 I worked for a major cell phone provider for 6 years and you have to learn to keep your mouth shut. There are just times when you get upset and I am. Overall people sometimes need to step back and realize they can’t control everything. A company can listen to what you have to say and respond they way they know how.

You guys should separate the DLC from the Game Data, because idiots like myself decide to delete game data not realizing the DLC is connected, and with the store down, it kind of makes for a bad month on Black Ops…

Sony here is a GREAT idea… instead of posting info about stupid awards and other stuff, you should post something along the lines of how the playstation store is doing. Why people are so mad at you is because you post things about that nobody really cares about and don’t post stuff about what they are asking. Trust me post something of how the playstation store is doing and a lot less people will be hating on you.
I doubt we will have to pay after the year. If they don’t have any cc information on you they can’t charge you. you should have the option to opt out at some point.
Glad to hear you are now going forward with the identity theft protection program. Although that’s not going to fix the spending spree on credit card from last weekend… Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but I find that hard to believe… Although it has definitally been an expirience and my account is still overdrawn and will be for the next 7 to 10 business days. I got a stack of vouchers to redeem DLC for a bunch of games. Im not worried about my security anymore, Im never putting my CC info on my ps3. I’d just like to redeem the DLC I’ve paid for and can’t access..

A good game 2 play online or by yourself is Borderlands. And once u get that game add me on the ps3. u will have some fun playing with me online. I love playing games but i cant play on the weekdays unless there is no school the next day.ADD ME ANY WHO LIKES PLAYING SHOOTER GAMES. i ONLY HAVE ENOUGH ROOM 4 MORE PEOPLE!!!
