Identity Theft Protection Offer for PlayStation Network and Qriocity Customers

Starting today, PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders in the United States can begin the enrollment process for the identity theft protection program by visiting http://us.playstation.com/news/consumeralerts/identity-theft-protection/. We are also notifying customers of the enrollment landing page via email, which you will receive in your inbox this week.

As previously announced, Sony Computer Entertainment and Sony Network Entertainment have made arrangements with Debix to offer the AllClear ID PLUS identity theft protection program to PlayStation Network and Qriocity customers who are concerned about identity theft following the criminal cyber attack on the network. AllClear ID PLUS is a premium identity protection service that uses advanced technology to deliver alerts to help protect you from identity theft. The service also provides identity theft insurance coverage and hands-on help from expert fraud investigators. Sony has arranged, at no charge to eligible PlayStation Network and Qriocity account holders, for twelve months of this service to be provided by Debix to those who choose to enroll.

In order to be eligible, account holders must be residents of the United States with active accounts as of April 20, 2011.

  • First off, SONY your PATHETIC, you can erase my posts and everything all you want I’ll just keep posting anyway. You are posting about new games that we won’t even be able to get to as long as the PS STORE is down, If comments are the lifeblood of the PS BLOG then your LIFEBLOOD is terminally septic. Your “Welcome Back Rewards” are turning into a bad joke and you continually refuse to even acknowledge your so-called fan base. PSN was down for almost more than four weeks and you couldn’t even give your consumers cross game chat and the like, while your copetitors offer most of those things staright out of the box. And the part about keeping the coversation going in a relevant and constructive manner? How many posts has SONY had in the past month that were totally irrelevant. SONY you make me SICK GET THE DAMN STRE UP

  • I refuse to join in bashing Sony. Reply with whatever hate you may, I don’t care what you say. If you can’t say anything important or reasonable, you are not worth paying attention to. Everyone knows you want the store up but no one really wants to read complaint after complaint… Just trying to throw some common sense out there but I’m sure there is *someone* who’s gonna get on their high horse and run their mouth and mention me specifically, wouldn’t be the first time!   • i dont see how they will go bankrupt if they put some credit into our PS3 account wallet since once we spend it, it all goes back to them in the end of the day and any un used money will expire that would be a great welcome back program in my opinion ive been dieing to get Prototype and its about 45 dollars.

  • @20 if they put the store up befoe the identity protection then the people who haced the network could use you credit to buy random stuff then you willnot be able to do anything about it but if the give you the protection your covered

  • Ok, once again this is an email that I haven’t received. I have not seen one email regarding all this Playstation stuff, luckily I follow it on twitter so I get most of the info. Does anyone know why I wouldn’t be receiving the emails (and yes they do have my correct email address)? Thanks

Yes they are a corporation and as such when customers buy their producs and don’t get what they pay for then they absolutly owe us something don’t they?.. As for the nucualar melt down ..   • i could care less about the store.. what i hate is the online leaderboards they are a joke. gameplay is hit and miss theres hackers out there and there are ways to report it. Nothing is ever done though. ruins the gameplay and makes it a waste of time

  • PS+ doesn’t start until store opens. Store will be up in about five days. Do the math May 31st, it’s may 26th. Five days.
