UPDATE: The maintenance has been completed, and Account Management and other affected functions are once again accessible. Thanks, as always, for your patience.
PlayStation Network is scheduled to undergo maintenance today, from about 8am until approximately 5pm Pacific time. During this time, registration and Account Management will be inaccessible, including the password reset process. While some users may experience difficulty signing in to PSN, the majority of consumers will be able to play online as well as sign in to external sites that require PSN authentication (like this one).
For those asking about the PlayStation Store, we’re still targeting restoration of all services by the end of this month. Contrary to reports, the Store will not be publishing today.
Stay tuned to the PlayStation Twitter feed for updates and a notice when maintenance has concluded.

This is the longest month of my LIIIIFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!. I mean seriously, who cares about the “next new update 6.39”, it doesn’t matter!! all that matters is this, to fix the PlayStation Store as soon as you can! put all of your work into fixing it later, fix it NOW!!!!!!!!!

Whatever. I am pretty sure 2 free downloads from the store is not going to please any playstation user. This has gotten ridiculous and i am a very patient person. I still love the playstation and i will never give up on it but i will not be one of the people who buy a crappy x-box like most playstation users are doing. Who wants to pay 300 whatevers to see the red ring of death in your face in less than a month.
This is taking forever. I had wanted to buy the DLC for Fallout: New Vegas today but now I have to wait probably another week. Will the DLC add-on Honest Hearts be among the first batch of added content because it is very sought after? I think the store should have been up on that Tuesday.

I don’t care if the store isn’t up to buy anything. However, this junk of restricting our access to content we have already purchased (The downloaded list) is stupid!
That is content we have already paid for, and there is no reason that sony should keep us from it.
Why am I upset? My ps3 that I purchased everything on died. I have several disc based games that I have purchased DLC for and my save files will not load until I get that dlc installed on several of those games.
We have already changed our passwords so why not allow us at least to access that downloaded list.

Really Sony? A multi-million dollar company takes this long to fix the problems that they should’ve been prepared for or prevented in the first place? @ 897 dsafdsa has a good point. YES they messed up with security BUT they are TRYING to give us something to TRY and make it up. If you have a problem with sony, talk to the head honchos. And dude,get off your high horse just because SOMEONE decided to be on sony’s side, most of the comments i’ve seen are “Sony I am dissapointed in you” even though the NEVER OFFICIALLY said what day it will open.
