We temporarily took down the PSN and Qriocity password reset page. Contrary to some reports, there was no hack involved. In the process of resetting of passwords there was a URL exploit that we have subsequently fixed.
Consumers who haven’t reset their passwords for PSN are still encouraged to do so directly on their PS3. Otherwise, they can continue to do so via the website as soon as we bring that site back up.
You think they want to make you mad? No, they are actually LOSING money because the store is not up yet, so they are obviously working as fast as they can, plus, they just ignore your threats.

I just think that all this love for one company that dont even know your name is kinda funny. I love my ps3 but it lags online my xbox does not, maybe thats why its free to play online. But both systems have good games, why limit yourself to one system…….this internet lockout didnt kill me, xbox live and some booty was right around the corner

I don’t understand why people whine so much. First when the network went down, people were complaining about how they can’t play their games online. Then they bring up the online multiplayer, but its not good enough, you have to have the store back right away. Well too bad! They are doing their best to make sure the store will be up and running properly and safely. It’s not like they can flip a switch and everything will be alright. It takes lots of work, so be patient! Me, I want to download the map pack for blk ops, but since the store is down I cant, do you hear me complaining? Yeah i want my free games and ps plus, but I can wait. I’d much rather have the store up and running as it should be rather than to have it crash and we all lose our purchase history and lose lots of money (which would be another thing you complain about if it happens)

I have the PS3 and 360. My 360 sits in dust. Why would I pay for online gameplay…why would I want to buy and download a game that looks like it came from atari era. I’m sorry, X-box is not worth it. You shouldn’t have to pay high price for a system and then have to pay another high price to play online and understand their point card system (what’s with the 1600 points?). I was a nintendo fan before PS3, but now have come to love my PS3 for everything it can do, and will continue to. It’s great not having to pay to play online and their store has a lot of things to buy and the system itself has a lot that it can do. Sony may be losing money off of the store, but they have to take their time and make sure that this does not happen again. It’s better to lose the money now instead of not just losing it now, but also again in the future. Just wait for the store people!!!!! And all of these people dishing Sony…get rid of it then and cancel your accounts so we don’t have to read your negative comments!

no. with x-box you could get a game that has 3 to 4 discs (like blue dragon). not fun having to switch discs, plus the system really gets hot fast. Don’t get me wrong, it has it’s good games too, but we always end up having the PS3 on. Plus, with the xbox, if you don’t have a wireless connection, you lose the downloadable games you have, they only show up as a trial, which made me wonder on what xbox will do when the next systems come out and they turn off the network on the 360…probably charge people to keep it knowing microsoft. At xBarbarikDavex13 hey man your complaining right now granted i agree people are taking the complaining too far at times but also i myself noticed that sony jedi mind tricked everyone by not informing us of the updates we would like to know about ie the ps store i wanted online back so i could play mortal kombat however i cannot play mortal kombat online becouse it requires i activate my online pass which as u may know cannot be done without the store ie most people accually still have something to complain about so on that note i would ask that u shut up and let everyone complain as they please its there right and there is good reason for it

blame the developer of Mortal Kombat for making the online portion of the game redeemable … the online portion of that game if you ask me should have been on the disc .. not unlocked by code.

How about instead of buying every game out there go take a female/male out on a date. Go to a party or to the movies. There is always something to do. Forget about games for like 3-6 hours and do something else.

I agree with 486. I have a ps3, wii, 360 and 3ds and some of the older systems. We have a large game collection, but rarely ever play! There’s too much more in life, it’s just cheaper than going to the movie theatres or doing some of the other hobbies there are. It’s nice to just sit and relax for a change, but there is a lot more better things to do in life. People are going to complain no matter what, it’s just nature. Even if everything was back up and working, there will still be complaints about something. I’m sure after all of this, there will be people trying to sue just to make money. I remember when the Wii came out it was on the news that some lady was going to sue nintendo because her kid lost weight playing it…she was counted as a ‘stupid lady’ and made the ‘dumbest lawsuits ever’. She lost and was probably made fun of for this. Sony can’t help the fact that some child nerd hacked their system. X-box was hacked before and so was other companies. It’s going to happen, and could possibly happen again! Don’t blame sony, blame the hackers!
They have said everything will be up by May 31st. So yep thats a date of when it will be up. They said this almost in the beginning.

People are grieving over deaths while some Americans are complaining they cant play games online or the free stuff isnt good enough for them. Can you say selfish?
