this is really cool…… but I would like to have ModNations Racers for my PS3……… : )
What Is Sony doing as far as getting in contact with activision and trearc to see what they can do as far as getting us the two double points weekends that we missed. I think they should get in contact with them to see what they can do as we missed them due to the outage of psn and their long process of getting it back up. Wii, pc, and xbox got it we should not be left out.
I guess trolls will never see the good in anything.
@infected
You’re an idiot. Please switch to 360.
you complaniers should maybe look at what else can get hacked and shut down,power grid,shipping,fuel supply,this was just the beggining,
thanks sony,condolences to any of the people in japan who may have experienced any hardships or losses
You people are really going to forgive sony just because they are giving you a few (crappy/not very good) free games? I think they should just put $50-$100 in everyones account. Now you might be thinking oh well you want to do that to all of the users. you know how much money that would cost. Well I could tell you not much considering PSN is able to do that and they are losing about the same amount of money giving us 2/5 free games and free movie rentals. I do not mean to sound rude in any way, but I think that Sony should do more for us. The service was almost down for an entire month. Also our personal information has been stolen. I just think Sony could be doing a bit more for us and the network.
Sweet!! Even though I have most of those games already. I look forward to playing stardust. BUt this is just the begining right? Not trying to be greedy but come on. Alot of us call psn home and this has been a difficult time for us. Especially on weekends. Always a fan though Sony. Thx.
cant wait for psn store to come back need my things on my new harddrive
When is the playstation store gonna be back up so stuff can be downloaded
Oh no, you mean people can send me junk mail and spam….Sony, you definitely owe me everything in the PS Store.
dose that mean i can get my credit back from Dead Nation
LittleBigPlanet that i paid for so i can buy another game?
Thanks Sony <3

I second that thought. 60 dollar retail game for free for a online network being down for a month? You did not lose any games during this outtage, so why would you be entitled to one in the first place? If you are a Pay for play online only member, you will be compensated for the downtime. As for a free full retail price game, keep reaching you might actually touch the stars.
Us complainers are the ones who actually spend money, and sony knows this..
See my name? I was one of the first people get get a ps3. I bought 4 PS3’s when they came out.
So you can keep eating sony’s crap they’re shoving in your mouth, and be grateful about that. Dont be mad because I want something more than a old title they’re giving away..
Why do you think sony is giving those titles away? IT DOESN’T COST THEM ANYTHING.
@4802 i do own 2 xbos 360’s Just went out and bought them last week.
but in regards:
I still think sony could do a better job to grease us over.. I’m not grateful for this, because i own 4 ps3 systems and 2 psp systems. I’ve spent alot of money with Sony, and this is how they thank us for not switching to the 360. Gears of war 3 comes out real soon. I dont know about these other nuthuggers that are thankful for sony to spit in their face. But Sony, if you want to keep me as a customer, then you will give us at least a voucher to get 1 game (Any Game) at a retail store.
Cough up the dough sony, Learn from your mistakes, and Keep your loyal customers loyal.
Thank, Sony you all nailed it, giving us all of this. I will always be a sony user;]
@4811
I had to sit a whole month with 2 non working psp go’s because they needed validated by the psn network, WHICH a few games are still not working until the psn store comes online.
I would have loved it if Portal 2 was on that list for PS3…
still, LBP for both devices?? EPIC!!!!!!!
AND PS+ FOR #) DAYS FREE!!!!!
THANK YOU SCEA!!!
You entitlement mentality idiots who are crying for $50 in your PSN wallet need to realize if Sony gave all 77 million users, $50 in the wallet it would cost Sony $3,850,000,000 Thats 3 BILLION 850 MILLION dollars. You’re idiots if you think Sony will shell out that much cash for 24 days of the network being down, on top of what the already paid out to the security companies to assist in the network restoration, and investigation. We’re not owed anything so quit your crying already.
Add me and we can quick scope on mw2 or black ops and looking to start a clan

I think you missed the FREE ID theft, the 60 day PSN + extension and the Pay for Play online games extension.
I think they covered all their bases. Extremely well at that.
so where do we go to get this free stuff?
i have a ps3 and 2 psps. do they all get the free games? and does anyone know when this is going to happen? don’t want to miss it. thanks!
@4808
No that means someone out there is sitting with ALL your information short of your SSN.. But what can they do with the information you have? hmmmmmm
Well lets see, They can hack your social networking accounts, or any accounts you may have anywhere on the internet by tracing your IP address, they can go straight down to the SS office and get a social security card, go to the vital statistics office get your Birth certificate..
And the list goes on genius.
Sony just hasn’t disclosed everything these hackers can do…
Could you pick 5 worse games really… Sorry Sony but it shouldnt be up to you what your customers purchase as a game. If your going to give away 2 downloads it should be customer choice not random old games that most if not all have or will never play.
inFAMOUS And LittleBigPlanet Here I Come
I appreciate all the things that Sony is planning on giving us. However, I already own most of these titles, and it seems to me like most of the things that are being given out are for existing users of services. It’s okay though. I’ll enjoy the free stuff Sony. Thank you :D
I wasn’t expecting all this stuff from Sony Playstation…. well I was expceting like 30 days of Playstation Plus, but not all this stuff. I’m very thankful that they restored the service, I was eating a cable without doing nothing all this days after school ends lol. My Playstation ID is: RiichiieN <— add me if you wants :)
@Infected, Why do you have 4 ps3’s and 2 psps’s? that doesn’t make sense. Either you’re making stuff up to sound incredible or you really do have 4 of the same system. Anyway I’ll just say it, I am somewhat happy about this although i already have infamous but it’s still cool hopefully this will never, eeeeever Happen AGAIN!! LOL
Word. I’ve been waiting for Little Big Planet. But if my brother wants two games, And I want two games… Does that mean we get four?! Cause we have two separate accounts.
We have 2 ps3’s and 2 psps, all use the same account, how does that work? Of the 4 available psp games to choose from, we already own 3 of them. Not sounding like such a great deal for those of us who have bought many games and systems. :o(
I have LBP and I don’t know about the other titles . They are free so if I do not like them it is no loss .
hey patrick,but how will we get them?what do we gotta do?
97 pages wheres the next update?

@4811
If you are a pay for play member it will be compensated. Outside of that, EVERYONE was unable to play online games they currently owned. That still does not justify wanting a full game for free. Everything that is needed to be compensated for will be.
@infected –
you are requesting a lot! they’ve been passing hard days after all this trouble, they had no idea what was approaching to them the last 4 weeks… but XD! if they read your message and they do something! it will be cool…. hehe but nah, im done with all that stuff they’re giving to us
come on, i know u admins are reading these comments, could u please just give us a timeframe of when the playstation store will be back up? im not trippin off waiting but it would be nice to know a timeframe. also u guys should consider making the ps3 slims able to play ps2 games, i mean for real tho theres no reason why i shouldnt be able to play my ps2 games on my ps3 slim. at least make some of the more popular titles downloadable like the ps1 games.
oh and one more question,when will we available to get them?thats all thanks
playstion youshould give the playston + for 1 year for free
no store still for me…..
@ knight_arkadas
Part 1:
I’m not defending the Hackers, but I’m not defending Sony either. As a corporation they should be implementing new and improved security features on an ongoing basis. The fact that Sony is so large is reason enough for them to get the most advanced systems around. Also, what I find really pathetic is that after the Anonymous attack Sony stated they hired a high end security firm to find the gaps in their security systems, yet 1-2 months later they have a complete breach of data AND on top of that, our personal and credit card data wasn’t even encrypted. I also forgot to mention that they didn’t know that the attack happened for over a day, when they realized they weren’t sure what was taken, and they only told their customers 2-3 days after that.
@infected it seems like you have enough money to buy out the whole store I don’t know why your complaining
I cant really complain because its free and i hear that InFamous is AWESOME. But i would have gave a choice of newer games possibly. I know there are people that dont have single psn accounts but i think everyone should get some psn money because add-ons and movies. But THANKS ANYWAY SONY!!!!!!!!!!!!
im back on line and going kick some ass!!
Anybody who is saying we don’t have a right to complain, [DELETED].
The ENTIRE point of this is to win back trust and appreciation in sony with the
fans of the system they have dissapointed.
What they are giving us is a couple of old games that have been on sale a million times now
and that loyal paying customers likely already have. Games that rarely sell anymore
anyways. Really, its an insult.
Honestly, I would have been happier with a simple sorry, thank you for your patience and
replacement time for paid services. Instead it’s just like “Haha, sucks to be you for paying for
our games! Here, have a hat in home! I’m sure you’ll have fun with that!” Meanwhile, people who don’t bother to purchase the games are getting them for free.
I’ve personally emailed sony support with a request for alternatives, and if there are none I am going to be
very, very dissapointed in Sony. By looks and sounds of things, a lot of people agree with me on this. I’m not saying to make anything free, but at least give us something that millions of users don’t already own.
TL;DR:
Show appreciation for the fans who actually invest in your games
@Crazysoulman
maybe just half and im exagerating a year its a little too much dont you think
I admire Sony Playstation members that worked through all this trouble. I have a xbox 360 with 3 red death lights and, i didn’t even wanted to fix it over this 4 weeks without playing online. Because, nothing compares to Sony Playstation lol… maybe Halo [but i don’t like that game lol]
@knight_arkadas
Part 2:
First, I’ve been a HUGE Sony supporter ever since I got my PS2 when it first came out, but over the course of the years I’ve started to lose my faith. These are the items that caused me to lose faith:
1. Removed backwards compatibility on the sly
2. Allowed the FFXIII to be ported to the Xbox360
3. Took away OtherOs support
4. Was down for over a month due to lack of security
Both parties are to blame, one for initiating the attack, and the other for being completely unaware.
This is great Sony,thank you guys very much for all the hard work you did to get the psn back online,for the people complaining….just keep it to yourselves,there’s no way they can please all of the 77+ million subscribers to the psn,thumbs up sony,i’m loyal to the end with you guys.
BTW Little big planet & Infamous for me.
Unless you’re an absolute moron you have to realize licensing for a digital downloaded game does cost the end seller. There’s probably deals with the publishers of those games to license them out for a smaller cost, but it’s still going to cost them. Even if you don’t think about the cost of fixing the security breach (which was probably in the range of 20-30 if not more of millions) a $20 cost to each customer affected is somewhere in the neighborhood of $150 million. That’s assuming that it’s only costing $20 per customer. Even if you think about the free month of Playstation Plus you have to realize that the discounts on games there that people would not have had will cut into their profits of the games sold in the following months, which from business standpoint is a cost. Don’t think that Sony isn’t being hurt by this.
But I guess you can’t please everyone all the time, and there’s always going to be someone who just has to be a jerk. That’s what internet trolls are good for. And of course they never will listen to the voices of reason.
Keep in mind too that there are several class-action lawsuits being filed, so the odds of you getting something more out of this is pretty high.
Sony just hasn’t disclosed everything these hackers can do…
If they really wanted to, They could go down get our birthcertificates, and go to the SSN office and get a replacement or temporary SS card, Go sell it to people that are trying to illegally come to the US and get a job under your name without knowing about it. Or they can go rob a bank in a town somewhere and give your information, and they would never know if you never been in trouble before. They can do alot of damage to your name, so the whole credit thing doesn’t really apply especially if there’s a dude in vegas running around selling fake ID’s and has bought your information from these hackers.
You just take things for granted.. Stop being a stupid person and get smart and start demanding more action, because that credit protection company can only protect you from so much, they arent going to protect you when your sitting in jail.
