Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

I see a lot of people mad about paying for,and not being able to use,Netflix. Mine worked the entire time. Would ask me to sign in,tell me the network was down,I’d hit circle,and Netflix would be loaded and fully workable. I don’t know anyone who was unable to use Netflix.
And thanks to Sony for the freebies. I own most,but for me it’s the fact that you’re trying to make amends that counts! You’ll never make everyone happy. Someone always finds a reason to complain. I think Sony is being more than fair. The only obligation they really have is to get the network back online,and beef up security. I’ll accept(and appreciate) more than that,but expecting more is just being greedy. When your cable gos out,do you get free pay stations and pay per views? No,you accept that crap happened,have missed time credited,and move on with your life.
i do wish they would implement cross game chat and the ability to change your id tho..
I own or have owned infamous, dead nation, and littlebigplanet, any chance that the people at sony could have done a little more research into what their subscribers would have really wanted. They would have found out that giving out psn money would have been better for those of us who wanted a better pick of the ps store… hell your service was down for 4 weeks, show a little more respect for your customers by asking them what they would want and giving them an option to take psn money OR any two tittles….. especially for those of us that cant get in on things like your music network.

For all of you Ball of Dookie: Whack Ops players, you can stop asking for a free or half priced map pack. You aren’t going to get it free or at half price, get over it and move on. You’re getting a double XP event that’s it.

I am not happy with the selection of games. Can we get a voucher for the money equivalent on psn instead. I own Dead Nation, inFAMOUS, LittleBigPlanet, and Wipeout HD. I like the home items, and the two months of plus. But such a weak selection of games. How many of these titles weren’t big sellers? I think that perhaps you (Sony) owe us (the customers’ who gave up private info to hackers via Sony’s mistake) just a little more than greatest hits titles (safe bet just about everyone owns or has played a greatest hits title, eh?) and three sub par outdated dlc titles (one of which was free via plus). I understand that someone still has to pay the publisher for the games being downloaded, and you (Sony) can’t afford to give new and exciting titles to everyone…but perhaps I can’t afford to have some Russian hacker using my personal info as his while committing crimes….can I have your personal info Patrick Seybold? And then give you some outdated games to make up for it.

@batistarulz don’t own an xbox. try again man. as far as what Sony cares about? I’d say close to everyone after this announcement. I’m stoked they are doing it and if they don’t include me, whatever. I’ll cry for a day but move on after that. I’m not the guy who gets so mad he turns in a PS3 and gets an XBOX. I’m still a proud owner of a PS3.

you cant redeem anything,the store is offline, they announced what well get, but read, it also said well get it when the store is available, which isnot soon enough, I might as well still be offline because technically i am since I cant activate my online code for my games.

Considering there are a potential 77 million members out there, no amount of a coupon voucher or free games will be enough. No matter how hard Sony tries/tried nothing they will do will be acceptable for all. If they did not offer any at all they would be ridiculed, they are offering free games and are being ridiculed. No matter what Sony gives you for free you people who have an entitlement mentality will never be satisfied. They could give you a real 10 ounce gold bar, and that wouldn’t be enough for you. If you have the games, you get a month of PS+ Not good enough for you? Too bad Sony doesn’t owe anything for this outage, unless you are a PS+ member who pays for that service.
