Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

Sucks that those who purchased those games don’t get any other options whilst others get them.

More options, up to 10 would be nice.
Games like Assassin’s Creed 1, Modnation Racers, Prince of Persia, Red Faction, Warhawk, Borderlands.
(All these are available on the PS Store.)
A variety like that would have been a great move and it would be very likely that everyone did not BUY all of those.

Most of the games being given away are either old, inexpensive when they actually have to be paid for, or have sequels coming out. Notice a theme going on here? And how does a 30-day free PS+ subscription help us, if we can only play the PS+ free games if we have an account? Sure they’re just minis and a handful of PS1 games, but when your trial subscription runs out, they’re gone.
now i cant log into my gt5 page on the computer. it says missing url parameter. i logged in yesterday fine. can someone help me
why cant i play madden. my ps3 signs in to see my friends online n [DELETED]. but when i try to go to online in madden it doesnt work. says it cant get online pricing at this time. how come the entire country can play but not me. i updated ps3 and changed pswd. its says enable online pass but it wont let me and ive had my ps3 for years and never had this problem. help???

Thank you Sony for proving what I knew all along: That everyone who traded their PS3’s for 360’s are complete idiots who didn’t deserve such an awesome online service for free in the first place!!! Now what about Netflix users who couldn’t watch anything during the outage? I signed up a couple of weeks ago because people were saying it still worked (liars). In truth, it only let you browse the videos, you couldn’t watch anything.
I have all the games so how are you gonna good will me? this is a BS PR move that sucks big time for people who have all of these games already.

I wish there was at least one game I could get, I already have all five and don’t have a PSP. This was suppose to be the fun part of the “Welcome Back” program and I just feel left out.
It’s kind of like waiting in line for hours for a movie you really want to see, paying full price, only to find out that everyone else in the theater was let in for free by the usher and they talk and text during the whole movie.

The online pass is through the PS Store, it’s the same reason I can’t play MK online until it’s back up. I had the 2-day trial but that ended today. Also the Social Club for Red Dead Redemption wasn’t up either, but I’m not sure if that’s on Rockstar’s end or because of the outage.
-QUESTION- If i have 2 accounts, does that mean that i get 2x the games?!
@dravenslair what you talkin about ? you didn’t lose any money. Sony lost millions probably billions. Plus had loads of bad press because of some idiot hackers. But they are still gonna give everybody about $20 worth of free games a free month of ps+, which gives people a few more games to play free for a month. They are also giving free movies for a weekend, so a lot of people can bond with their families over a whole weekend. unfortunately I’m sure most of these people hate there families because they don’t get enough free stuff from them too.

I have been a xbox 360 gamer for ages but always perfered the PS3 for how much more reliable their services are and how unlikely it is for the console to crash, unlike the xbox 360, and now i like PS3 even more, because of how generous they are to their community, i know for a fact microsoft would never be this generous to their community even though gamers pay $50-$60 a year to use their online services, so thank you sony, you are a much better game company!!!

@4574 – netflix worked just fine throughout the outage. I promise you I watched many hours of movies and TV. All you had to do was try to log in, then hit circle when it told you the network was under maintanenance. Do that any time the login popped up, and everything worked just fine.
