Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

i don’t get all these people saying they own 70 or more games and have played all the games on this list whining. if you can’t replay one of your games then maybe gaming is not for you. it was a whopping 3 weeks. watch a movie , play some offline games or go outside! I honestly am looking forward to getting stardust hd and wipeout hd for free. But honestly I will just be happy when the store goes back up so I can buy the raspberyl chapters dlc for disgae 3. I mean you kids all sound like spoiled 12 year old girls. I bet none of you even thank your parents for your christmas gifts and just complain that they didn’t spend enough on you.

Gee, thanks. I own all the PS3/PSN titles offered and all but one of the PSP titles. Home is kind of useless (sorry), and as a PS+ member from the first couple of weeks it was offered this seems like a letdown. 60 days extra of PS+? No thanks, hate to say it, but I’m more than disappointed. I guess technically all my welcome back is a 30 day PS+ add on considering service was gone almost a month.
@Crimson_Dutchess – Most companies who stand by thier PAYED products will offer some type of reimbursement, credit, or something to make up for your loss of service. It’s called good business. As a small business owner, I can vouch for this. Now, if someone doesn’t pay and uses a free service, well, you have to take what you get and live with it.
I guess supporting a company doesn’t mean much anymore. Thanks for nothing Sony. Wonder what the trade in on 129 games, 4 controllers, and a PS3 with 99 PSN games is?

I would like to get a store credit instead of the games that were selected thats so you can get what you would like perhaps an add-on or different game. I already have LBP and infamous and not interested in the others so….I guess I’m not going to be getting anything out of the welcome back package. Very disappointing. I though they said we were getting a store credit of 50??? What happened with that?
Mod nation racers is one of the worst games ever made. I am SO happy it is not on the list of free games.

That’s great! Sounds like you’re using a marketing technique to get more people to sign up for playstation plus, when all they really want is their network back. Not to mention that the average gamer has one or all of those free titles you’re offering. I feel really appreciated, I mean I’ve bought every game system you’ve released since the PS1 and spent hundreds of dollars on video games and accessories over the years, and you say thanks for your loyalty with games I’m not interested in and free subscription to a plus package I don’t care about? I’ll keep playing, but I’ll be more wary of your company the next time you release a new gaming system.

Its all good !!! I think we are all just tired of getting up every morning hoping to use our PS3’s and cant SONY really needs to put out a better welcome back package or it will lose a lot of customers to xbox. I guess when you pay to play online they have real security. I keep getting phone calls about anything from choosing a school to taking a vacation to having new carpet put in my house so thanks for protecting us SONY you did a great job.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the store went up tonight. When they put out system update 3.61 on Saturday, I figured ‘cool, just a couple more days!’. to my delight, we were back on that very night. fast forward and we have welcome back details today, on a tuesday, the usual publish date. I’m guessing they would rather not miss yet another scheduled publish. so, fingers crossed, I could totally see a store update happening tonight – i HOPE that crash commando and streets of rage 2 are immediately available to plus members, those were two I know were scheduled as plus freebies that would have hit had PSN not been down. cross your fingers with me, lol. while you’re at it, hope for some more first party greatest hits titles to be added to the list – I don’t even really care that i’m really just getting one game, I would personally like to see Modnation be a choice just to get some friends playing it with me.
Modnation Racers is one of my top 5 ps3 games ever. Amazing game.

Yes a bunch of hackers ruined my pay time for almost an entire month. Not sony. The hackers owe me for time not online not sony. Sony owed me my time that i lost for PS+ and Free Realms since i paid for those. 1month to make up for time loss and 1 bonus month is way fair imho. So my identity is on the web for everyone to know? My info is out there already from everything else i do. Bank accounts Bill Pay Etc… So why should i start worrying now? But now not only do we paid members get or paid back for our prepaid PS+etc we get to choose 2 games which we may already have and get some(even if dumb) movies to watch free(No money or cc used to buy it?) OMG Wow i own the games in disc form my nephews both dont own it and their mom is broke so guess what? I can get the games and give them my disc forms. TYVM Sony. For me at least all i need was u to compensate me for month away and u did that and gave me a free month which is 5 dollars i can use to get me a dlc or a rental of my choice instead of paying for ps+. Keep it up SONY

I’m rly dissapointed that they’re using this to publicize themselves. I mean honestly, with Infamous 2 coming out, and LBP 2 have just come out a few months ago it’s obvious that they didn’t choose those games because they thought “our consumers will be happy”. Everyone I know owns LBP and Infamous. They’re only on the list to give people the notion that it’s not a bunch of “bargain bin” titles.

As a realist, one knows that a single individual will not make a difference, but I can honestly say that I have seen more than just a few consoles being traded in to certain stores because of this. If things are like this in a relatively smaller area like mine, I can only assume with an educated guess that it’s happening in larger areas also in higher numbers.
Judging bt the 4.51 rating on this post, all you people whining about not getting enough compensation are definately in the minority. So maybe instead of complaining you should be grateful for what you’re getting. I mean if it was really so hard for you these last 3 weeks why are you wasting time trolling and not playing your precious black ops right now?

What if me and my brother have 2 separate accounts, and he wants to choose different games, but we are both currently using the same PS3? Could one of us at least get different games for our psp’s via PC? It would be nice to know these things in advance..
i could care less about all that right now..its great too see the offers..but i want too know about compensation..i had over 40 dollars left on my account..if thats gone am i getting compensated for it..

Thanks Sony! I own a the title chosen on the PS3 side, but not everythingon the PSP side. For those people who have issue with that, just think about it…YOU ALREADY OWN THE GAMES! Unless you have them in disc form its not like you could go sell them or something. If Sony had offered a dollar amount in PS Store credit, some genius would still complain it wasn’t enough for the time they didn’t get to play on the FREE service. Nevertheless, I am glad there is not alot of whining though. Regardless of what anyone says, the last time I checked I didn’t have that auto-debit going on the Visa for a service I couldn’t access. One again, the beauty of a FREE service! I chose to pay for Plus…and I’m getting my time back!
