Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- Dead Nation
- inFAMOUS
- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

instead of a choice of a few select games you should just add enough credit to the walet of everyone in the welcome back package. most people who have plus already have these games. with credit, people will get what they want instead of a choice between games they more then likely have.

I have both ps3 and psp my 4 year old uses the psp and i use the ps3 since i have both does this mean i get 2 games for each system cause modnation and littlebigplanet would be great for him and theres 2 games i don’t have for ps3 in the list can u let those of us who have both know please.

Last comment, and then I’m done. To all that seemingly have no idea why anyone is insulted by this offer, remember this. In business, it doesn’t matter why someone is mad. If that customer is lost, it doesn’t matter if they’re “childish” or “ungrateful”, it hurts the business. Sony’s (and the people on here that are supporting them to their dying day) indifferent attitude toward the people paying the bills hurts their business. Rather than alienate a group of consumers that are coughing up a lot of dollars (my goodness how much I’ve spent on Playstation over the years) I would hope they would be savvy enough to cater to that group of people in some way at all.
Here’s my situation:
* inFamous – Played, platinumed, sold.
* LittleBigPlanet – Played, beaten, missed platinum only because I didn’t have 3 other friends with the game.
* WipeOut HD – Playstation Plus subscriber.
* Dead Nation – Own it.
* Super Stardust HD – Own it.
PSP – Don’t own the system.
Not all of us are trolls. Not all of us are immature. I’d say most of us just would like a shred of evidence that Sony really cared if we stayed or went.

Thanks sony for taking the time to work out all the kinks before putting the network back online. It was worth the wait. I USED to be a xbox geek but no longer. Sony all the way!

Thank all of you at Sony, you guys really are going to make it worth while for the loyal fans of PS3, this should just go to show you how loyal and proud your fan base is. I stick up for your system on a weekly basis to X-Box junkies. This will surely shut them up for a while, correct me if I am wrong but I dont remember Microsoft coming out with a “Welcome Back” program when they were down for a month, around Christmas of 2008. Sony is superior.

If you own all of the games for like the PS3 part of the package (on disc for lbp and infamous) just download lbp and infamous and take the disc games to a gamestop and get some store credit and use it to eventually buy a PS3 game
