This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.

Can you not see why those of us who are literally the lifeblood of Sony, the premium users who are paying the most by buying untold amounts of content and subscribing to Playstation Plus in its infancy, might just be a little bit miffed? They’re completely ignoring the customer that is paying their bills. Good on everyone that can take advantage of this offer. I really am happy for you. But Sony should have had plans for every customer.
* Nobody is arguing the QUALITY of the offered games. Or at least they shouldn’t be. Those are all great games.
* Nobody really should be pissed about the hack itself, it could happen to anyone.
* We’re pissed that the nanosecond there was a possibility that our personal information was gone that we weren’t informed. This gave bad people a lot of time to wreak havoc without our defenses up. If you aren’t pissed about this, you’re either too young or too naive to understand its importance.
* I personally, and many others, had to endure the inconvenience obtaining new credit card numbers “just in case”.
The very least Sony could do for the burden placed on us is ensure their “Welcome Back” could benefit everyone instead of trying to find the cheapest possible way out.

1st of all they allowed these hackers get personal information, our Persona and our credit card info, which I had to cancel (of course)which mean all my bills are late, and had to pay for late fees(THANKS SONY)
YES, I said “ALLOWED” every PS3 has memory (wallpaper, icons, Emails) why does SONY have to have my personal information (my wallet) stored in THEIR data-banks, when it can be easily stored in “MY” PS3???
@Otakulad – Don’t omit facts… all XBL users did get a free game. “Undertow” as I recall. I have no idea if it was any good, nor was I an Xbox user at the time. Also, Microsoft didn’t lose users’ personal information to hackers and delay informing them either. It’s not an apples to apples comparison.

any consoles server’s could’ve been hacked. Sony’y not to blame, and the fact they’re giving users anything, is amazing. Be smart, dont use personal information, buy prepaid cards. it’s not that hard to avoid all this.
I hate having to work… I miss college when I could skip classes with little consequence when a new game came out that I was dying to get into (that was a PS1, BTW). Now, I have to be in bed at a decent hour or I’ll be useless at work. I already used up my “playing hooky” time when MLB 11: The Show came out (I took two personal days).
Also, being married and caring about the strength of my relationship with my wife more than PS trophies, I have to respect her and not sit there and game all day ignoring her. I’d rather have my wife than a video game. So, I try to bide my time wisely.
But with all this free stuff coming out, and the wifey is heading to see her folks in Florida next month (without me), I might just find the time to squeeze it all in.
I swear, there aren’t enough hours in the day to have a full-time job, be a good husband AND an avid gamer. I type this as I’m yawning at my desk from a late night of gaming and 7:00AM alarm clock.
2nd they took our personal information which means they could make another ID somewhere else or use my personal information in some other website(s) (THANKS SONY) then I had to check out a credit website to see if my credit was use elsewhere which I had to pay for!!! It’s only free if you haven’t check it out before (NICE!! SONY) with the USA economy going down, jobs not paying well, who the [DELETED] does SONY think they are to offer only 5 stupid [DELETED] games as way to forgive them.
3rd of all it’s our men & women in “OUR” arm-forces (my brothers & sisters in arms) this is a stress reliever, for a whole month they were without a way to get rid of the [DELETED] that happens on a daily bases. It’s our escape from reality. It our down-time, the routine that follows after being in the fields of blood & bullets. What happens to them? Did you know that the casualties rate was up during your shut-down (MMmm, I wonder why? )(THANKS SONY, Your the GREATEST)

Well its in the blog and when I called Sony they said that the Store will be updated 3 to 4 times. Because we missed 3 weeks of service and this week they are going to do a one update a day for 4 days they need to start today or they are going in this weekend with updating the Store. Luke, none of these other games Sony has on this list require other players to be on in order for you to play. MAG is an online multiplayer only first person shooter and as numbers go down from other shooter titles being released it means those of us that still play have to wait longer in queue’s for a game to start. At the moment you can still get into the primary game modes that ship with the game (Suppression, Sabotage, Acquisition, and Domination) in a reasonable amount of time the DLC for MAG has become basically unplayable due to low player counts. The game is only a little over a year old and is still one of the best first person shooters currently available but due to lack of marketing on Sony’s part it didn’t sell as well as it could have but Sony could use this opportunity and put MAG on this list of games and keep it going for at least another year if they actually cared anything about supporting it.
Umm… hummm …. pick 2 games that most people already have. Ok so I get a month of plus, that when that month is over I don’t get to play or use that stuff at all and I can pick 2 games from a list of games I don’t care to play again. Wow this sounds gre… oh wait that isn’t great at all. That’s like me saying I’m gonna give people free money then handing out pennies and asking some of those people to give the pennies back in a month. WTF . I think you should just put some money in everyone’s store wallet and let them choose what they want. It wouldn’t have to be much, 15 bucks would be fine, but having a real choice would be nice.

Thanks, but I’ll pass. I don’t feel cheated or wronged by it being down. I was happy. It got me away from black ops and got me to playing some DA2 and Borderlands, and even MS Sagas on my PS2. I won’t be taking advantage of the free games. I will accept the PS+ membership. I’ve always wanted to try it. If I like it I’ll be subscribing to it!

I was hoping the store would be up today, but I guess since the [DELETED] in Japan’s government want more “transparency” from Sony on what they have done to improve security we may have to wait until they get Japan up. Still the day is a long way from being over so they still could get the store up. Japan should be more worried about what TEPCO is doing to solve the on going Fukushima nuclear problem, after all what is going on at Fukushima will affect orders of magnitude more people over the years, than a network outage on a game console ever could.

A few pretty good choices, only beef is that oneof those games us plus members already have (wipeout) and lbp which every ps3 owner pretty much already has. But i have been wanting to give inFAMOUS a try for a LONG time. As for super stardust, meh. I really wish they offered Modnation racers for ps3 instead of lbp. But at least i have a completely neglected psp i can get lbp and modnations on.
The psp list is amazing and has 3 of the games ive been wanting to get for my psp but i would like i said grab lbp and either modnations or killzone. As for the ps3 one, i already own lbp so wont get that, already have wipeout from ps+, not a far of top down shooters so dead nation i dont really care for, super stardust just looks dumb and not really my cup of tea, so the only game i can really get that appeals me on the ps3 side is inFAMOUS.
But ya i really hope they add another alternative and let us choose modnation racers on ps3 as well.
