We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

For those of us that were wondering about if we get 2 games from each list for being an owner of a PS3 and PSP, you do. According to the EU blog which they seemed to get responses back from Sony employees.
I repeat if you own a PS3 and PSP you get 4 games total. 2 PSP and 2 PS3. It would be nice if we could get some questions answered on the American blog someday. Maybe they should get a blog employee restructure too.
You’ve done a great job with the rebuild. I’m in ‘IT’ and I’d be bulling my hair out if we had the same attack. I wish there was a bigger selection with the games as I own all but 1 I believe. Regardless, you didn’t really owe the fans anything so it was a nice jesture. An extra month of Plus means at least one extra game that you don’t have listed.

I have been a PS+ member from inception and have participated in multiple betas including Playstation Rewards (see my avatar!).
I understand that the Customer Appreciation Program will benefit the vast majority of PSN followers. But how about some consideration for me?

Hey Thanks for the news but i got the emails for my other accounts but after i enter the numbers/letters in the box it says there was a problem resetting my password and also sometimes says time over due or something when i got it at 1:03pm 16/15/2011 and the link only expires in 24 hours so plz answer my question on how to fix this

Wow, Sony is giving us free stuff to compensate for an outage in free service and people are still complaining? No wonder the world thinks gamers are immature 10 year olds who think that they’re entitled to everything. Thanks for the free stuff sony.
Although one idea you could do is perhaps allow people to trade in the free games for a certain amount of funds being added to the wallet. It’s not an issue for me (i’ve been meaning to snag inFamous anyway and dead nation looks cool) but just a thought.

Wow, I must say I’m impressed. Thanks for this Sony, it more than makes up for the missed PSN time. Sadly, my ps3 got the YLOD while it was down…but i brought it back to life with a hairdryer for now! We’ll see how long that lasts…Thanks again!

I’m appalled by the comments left by many users before me. As a victim, Sony does not owe a single one of you anything at all. I am actually very impressed with the generosity Sony has displayed. It shows a lot of class on the corporation’s part. My only regret is that it is wasted on ingrates.
Besides, the reasoning behind calling Sony’s apologetic sincerity into question is very skewed, and clearly, many of the complainers do not even understand the legal complications behind it. For example: “wah wah cry whine, give us the Black Ops maps for free.” Sony cannot do that because Black Ops content is property of Activision, not Sony, and the providing of free stuff is at the discretion of the respective property owner.
don’t know if sony reps actually read these, but if you do i just want to say thanks. this is a great list of games and well worth the wait, i’m just sorry more people aren’t happier about the list.
