Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- inFAMOUS
- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

@DerKapitan You would probably lose $20 I’m 42 and I know of at least a couple friends that are not happy that are in there 30’s-50’s..what if I had Sony’s employees personal info on a site and it got hacked?..they would sue the pants off me.

Being someone who owns nearly all of those titles (Only missing the one, Wipeout – which I hate anyways), who doesn’t use home and who is already a PS+ subscriber… I’m getting 1 month of PS+ added on… which is $5 worth of service.
So, my welcome back gift as a “sorry you couldn’t use your systems online for a month” is $5 worth of service…. NOT IMPRESSED.

The Euro blog says that if you have a PS3 and a PSP you can download two titles for each system, can anyone confirm this?

@1381 what? one game that you don’t have? Dead Nation, Super Stardust HD, and inFamous alone prove there’s at least three. LBP might be useless because of the second game but it was good. Wipeout HD is very difficult but its fun. The PSP games are all good as well.

That’s pretty friggen awesome, but I really think that list of free games should change depending on the user. If somebody already owns all of that stuff, they’re kinda screwed.

Who doesn’t own all of these games? Seriously, I feel totally cheated by everyone else getting $120 in free games, while others (like myself) get none (I own all of these). The purpose of this program was to compensate for lost services. A bunch of people are not getting compensated equally. It would have been a MUCH more intelligent idea to give everyone 2-4 UNRELEASED PSN games that were pushed due to the outage.
So, so dumb. I feel really cheated and pretty pissed.

Throw us a bone here sony or at least a few games that I’ve not played before. All of these games are a few years old and I could care less about Home Items.. just more junk. And i’m already a yearly subscriber to plus so no real benefit there just the chance that down the road my credit record will get screwed over by some hacker.. Thanks for nothing just more headaches.

@1470: Pa-lease. If you bought a PS3 that was malfunctioning, send it to them. If you’re trying to say PSN being down prevented your PS3 from “working” and they should pay you for it, then you’re greatly mistaken. You can still play blurays (thus games), dvds, cds, you can still use everything apart from PSN and it’s features. Delusional people are delusional.

Yes they did give us something after a month of no services alot are mad about it and they should do something a bit better then a bunch of old games. if ur a true PS supporter then u have played all those games on that list

I was unable to log on and comment during the PSN outage so I will do it now. I am still trying to understand from Sony’s perspective on the security break, but I don’t think your personal information was tampered with.I want you to also know that I sold my X-BOX 360 April 16th because I recently purchased the superior PS3 and thought I no longer needed said 360. Long story short, it’s back and I thank your team for getting things handled as soon as they did. Please also thank whoever pulled the trigger on giving my wife Little Big Planet and me the chance to re-play Dead Nation.

@1492; Problem with your theory is that people who play games today play the game for awhile, then they stop and never play it again. Replayability is lower than it’s ever been this generation, so most probably will get their PS+ content, play it, beat it and be done with it.
