We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

i’m glad the system is back up but this welcome back program sucks. i am a loyal sony customer, i buy tons of psn games so therefore i already own every game on this list. so what do i get for being loyal and supporting sony….nothing. why not just a credit on our account so we could get something we dont already have. all these games are 2-3 years old (except dead nation). i do not want to appear greedy but we all went through the same ordeal but not every is getting something.

and what about the people who try out PLUS for 30 days, do they lose the games after that. i have PLUs already but after all this i think its time to shut my wallet on sony, ive stuck by you for years but enough is enough, maybe then you’ll get it’s US that make you who you are, without US there would be no sony.

So glad you guys made it back to us loyal fans. And I’m glad that this happened in a way, because it weeded out all the incessant whiners – the worst part about this whole thing wasn’t necessarily the wait, but the fact that it seemed the ONLY people who could still post on here during the whole situation were the people who didn’t want a PS3 anymore, didn’t have anything positive to say, and didn’t want to post anything. They just whined and whined and it was pathetic – I swear, I wish I could’ve been able to log in and say a few things to them to shut them up. But oh well…
Love the “Welcome” Package – it really is wonderful of you guys to do! Unfortunately, I already have all but one of those games, although it is a great one and one I’ve wanted for quite some time but the price was too steep for me (Dead Nation).
But this isn’t about that – this is just a personal Thank You and Glad to Have You Back message – been loyal, was loyal, will continue to be loyal – always will!!! Playstation 4ever!!!!

That such a crock with the free games, I own those games so what? I don’t get as much compensation for being a loyal consumer. If there is a moderator to this site then they will know that I’m not the only one who is dissatisfied with this offer. I’d rather have the value of any f those 2 games in my psn account so I can spend it at my leisure. come on Sony we understand your hardship but is this all you are going to do for the consumers that stayed with PS3 and not xbox. I think giving 30 days free of PS Plus for non subscribers is a giant marketing strategy, exploiting people during this whole catastrophe. And why give everyone games that they either most likely have, have had, or don’t want to have being that they are all over 2 years old. Give us a choice of whatever we want equaling a hundred bux or something. We want new stuff not old stuff. And if you’re going to give people ps plus, give the whole year for free, not a month or 2.. Wow… what a fail…

Sorry to sound greedy but will owners of both PS3’s and PSP’s have 2 games from each list to choose for a total of 4 games OR 2 games to choose from both list?
After reading another person’s comments I would also like some clarity on whether we shall be able to purchase downloadable content for these games. I assume we shall but would appreciate an answer.

……..Hey im not complaining its free stuff and besides its not their fault everone on PSN bought those games “cause you already own them”… infamous ,2millon sold LBP ,3.64 millon sold ,20 millon regesterd PSN accounts do you see what i mean ,and no my personal data wasnt compromised or stolen with the other “77 millon” because I was smart enough not to trust anyone with my personal data before the data breach, its the internet nothing is secure. not XBL , or Facebook, and most definitely not twitter…But I do agree that a store credit would be a bit better

As for me, thanks for all the free stuff Sony, ill take it with gratitude, but in all honesty, you dont really owe me anything, When the Network went down, all my friends who im actually friends with lol, wanted to switch over to Xbox, me being the Sony loyalist that ive always been, kept their interest in the PS3, the reason being that Sony has always been a quality company, it isnt like you guys turned your back on us, you were helping us, doing your hardest to get us back online, and keeping us protected, so why would we turn our backs on you? The free stuff is a bonus, but honestly im just glad to have everything back on.

See that list of 3rd party companies that Sony thanked for contributing free stuff to the welcome back package? Is Activision listed there? No? Well, then why the hell aren’t you complaining to Activision for not offering a free map pack?
I must be the only one dissapointed in this… Why can’t we get the 2 free games we want online? Why do you get to choose what we want? Why is it only a few selected movies we can rent? The only good thing is the Playstation plus. Those 100 free virtual items better be good.
Sorry Maybe I’m greedy but after almost a month without playstation network and having peoples ID’s stolen, it doesn’t seem fair that Sony gets to choose what games and movies we get.
I’m a little surprised that ModNation Racers is not one of the available PS3 games to choose from, considering LittleBigPlanet is on both lists and ModNation Racers is also available on the PS3. Unless M.N.R. is one of those free games we get from PS+ every once in a while (and while everybody has their free 30/60 day subscription).

I’m a little disappointed most of games i already have ……. the rest i dnt like …… and with the free 60 days of ps plus well it dose not matter for me i have the one year plus 3 month free so ….. instead of all this u should have given 50 $ min credit to spend in ps store ….. in that way people can reale have something they like……. most of the time one thing is better then “10 cheep ones”……… PS with 50 $ people can buy the PS plus for one year not 1 month…….. etcetcetc ……. btw sony, culd yoube more imformation this time around? After May 6,you weren’t really forthcoming with information about the psn restoration. I hope we’ll get more information about the psn store status. Now thatwe can play online, I really need the psn store to redeem my code to play crysis 2, mortal kombat and most importantly DC universe online.

I understand that you guys are offering amazing content. Hell I’d be so happy if I didn’t already have those games.
Thing is, it pretty much sucks that everyone else is getting so many good stuff and the customers that already paid full price for the list of games get “less” content out of this.
Really hope you guys have some sort of backup plan for this. As someone mentioned, the PS3 Modnation Racers would have been a great option, even Assassin’s Creed 1, Red Faction or Warhawk for some nice additions to the list.
Not very fair for those of us who already have all of the games that you are “offering for free”. You really should do something for those of us who have already paid for those games. I guess that is what we get for being paying customers………..screwed.

Sony is still loyal to their fans. I must say, this is definitely a nice surprise. I don’t own any of the PS3 games (though i’ve played one of them). This shall be fun to decide which games I want now. The PSN Store must definitely open up tonight or tomorrow so I can sink my fangs into the games. If not, I can still wait. Once again Sony, good move.
