We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

That, to me, is not really an exciting deal. That is really a rip off. Those game choices for PS3 really suck, at least I will not have to buy Little Big Planet now though lol

Wow putting your CC on PSN is giving out your information “easily”. By having an option to put your CC on their system, there is an implicit duty to keep that information safe. I’m sorry if I wanted to buy their games and keep their business operating. I guess it’s my fault someone fraudulently used my credit card.

Awsone job Sony! I have all but one of those games the one i never bought cause i never wanted it. “Dead Nation” Don’t worry about the free stuff Sony, im just glad you got psn back up. You folks are a class act and i hope you will recover from this cyber crime quickly. Seems I am in the minority for shedding a tear. The game selections are fantastic….if you don’t already own the games. Everyone that is happy about this are the people who didn’t invest in those games already. Way I look at it, every single one of those game are great……..but they are also games every single PS owner should have had already…..like me. This is like a welcome back for all of the casual people who for whatever reason don’t invest in your AAA titles prior to this.
Where is the welcome back for the people who had already invested in these games? Promise anyone who disagrees with this are people who found value in the welcome back (people who dont already own these games). But it alienates some with such a limited selection.
I HAVE EVERY ONE OF THESE GAMES! NO FAIR. I hope someone hacks the PSN again to bring it down and hopefully change the selection of these titles. This sucks.

For those of you who don’t already have it, I reccommend getting Super Stardust HD. It’s an older title, yes, but it’s just so damn fun! It’s 1 of the 1st games that I bought on PSN years ago, & I still play it regularly. I cannot reccommend it enough!

Again, fantastic selections, but not really. 3 greatest hits (which means at least 1,000,000 people have already bought), 1 psn game that has been out since the system has been out and 1 psn game that the world touted as the must buy downloadable game for psn in 2010. ALL games that you should have had anyway.
Based on the responses, I am in the minority. Funny thing is, I thought I was in the majority until I read 99% of the responses I see on here. Please let there be an alternative selection. I was looking forward to getting showered with gifts along with everyone else.

People are complaining because they already have the game. So basically speaking this “Welcome Back Package” for them is nothing. Yes its free, but they are getting nothing out of it because they already own the game.
No one is complaining that games listed are bad, or anything like that. i would assume that if many people didnt already have the games listed that this would be a hit for everyone. too bad thats not the case.
Sony should have known that there would be people out there who may have all the games listed. So hopefully they get something in return.

I bought a new playstation during this outage and now that I am back on I don’t have the map pack for Black ops. Will this be automatically downloaded when the store is back on, or is it lost forever in my old PS3?

Thanks for nothing. Looks like this is the last Playstation console for me! E3 can’t come soon enough! Truly there are no words for how offensive this pitiful customer “appreciation” is. Reason why, they are already dirt cheap what sony should have done is give out more recent titles not 2 that have been out since the ps3 launch and then games which are so dated i doubt anyone even plays anymore.
Never thought I’d see the day where I could login and post a comment on here. Anyways, I attempted to read all comments to find my answer, but the amount of them continue to grow. I have the same problem other’s have. My PSN Plus expired the day before PSN came back up. Does that matter at all since everyone is getting PSN Plus for free but the people who already had it got an extra 30 days on top of it. When I’m logged into my account on my PS3 it says that it expired but still shows I have PSN Plus so I’m confused. I don’t know when it will expire now since it hasn’t updated yet so I know when to renew. If any of that makes sense.
Dang, I already have LBP and infamous so I guess im going to have to pick dead nation and super stardust

HOWEVER, I have a (personal) question.
I don’t currently own a ps3. I borrowed one from my friend a while back and made an account to play on, then after I gave his ps3 back I made a new account (this one, MrZoobat) which I plan on making my official account once I buy my ps3 within the next couple weeks.
Will I still get the welcome back bundle even though I never signed in with this account on a ps3?

Wow this is great! I love you Sony! I saw a video for Dead Nation a long time ago and forgot all about it. I wanted to get that game and now I can… FOR FREE! Now the only problem is figuring out what other game to get for the PS3. If I’m reading this right I’ll basically get 4 free games since I own both a PS3 and PSP. I’d be happy with just two free games but this is crazy. Thank you so much Sony.
