Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

i dont understand why we can’t pick what we want from the network. I mean im happy that we get all this stuff but i dont really care about most of those games. i want stuff like map packs for black ops once it comes out. Is there any way i can change what i want???????
So I’m a PSP owner. Thinking I’ll get LBP, but realy have no clue on the other one. Any sugestions?

why can i not find these games you list for a thank you ?? i looked the up on my gamefly account and not their ??
It’s a great offering for people who don’t own any of those titles. Unfortunately looking through these messages there’s a group of dedicated gamers, myself included, who own all those titles.
I know that when the Xbox 360 servers went down MS offered gamers a free game and then gave points to those who already had that titles.
A free game promotion on GOG.com also gave gamers who owned the free titles a larger selection to choose from.
I hope Sony takes this into consideration.
At first I was thrilled about the choices but then reality sinks in.
You know, you have to assume that there are PSN subscribers that have all five PS3 games already.
What is SCEA going to do with anyone that already have the games listed? Did you think about that, Jack, Patrick, Kaz?
I personally have the last two(on the PS3 list) already so… my choices get cut to three.
The choice list should have been a bit longer. I know its a financial hit on you Sony but, who dropped the ball on the security integrity of your network? Some of us might suffer identity theft in the future for trusting you with our personal information. Its the least thing you can do for us to trust you again and in your future consoles.
Just giving out some “tough love” to you Sony from someone that wants you to succeed.

if you have multiple accounts on the same ps3 can you get more than 2 games?
What about the people who went out and bought a ps3 the second or third day this happened we don’t get anything
I already have or do not want those games , could we not get store credit for those of us in this category?

Did SONY have to give us free things?If it was X-box they would not have gave us anything.
Personally, as to the fact that I am not a PSP owner or a PS+ or Music service user, I expected a bit more than a listing of 5 games to choose from here. As to the fact that I already own two of them and the others are anywhere from a year to 3 years old. Come on Sony, give us a bit more. If you are going to give us “classic” games to choose from, at least give us a wider selection to choose from. I am sure a lot of people will be happy with a free copy of Infamous with its sequel being released in the coming month, but how about some love for those of us that already own the game? Lets see a wider selection with better titles in there. You can do it, we know you can and quite honestly we deserve more than 2 games from a list of 5 old games.
Maybe some other games that could be added:
1. ANY God of War
2. Uncharted 2 (had it and loved and would play it again)
3. First Uncharted
4. Little Big Planet Game of the Year instead of original
5. Any Ratchet and Clank
6. Maybe a Resident Evil game cause Zombies rock!
But then again, I bet most gamers have had these or still have them.

For those ranting about being fanboys since day one and owning all these games, take a minute to realize how selfish your statements sound.
As a community we should be happy that we get anything from a free service. Getting new games from 3rd party developers would be an economically retarded gesture for Sony.
Be happy for your fellow gamers who probably don’t have these titles and enjoy our PSN and stop being fools
The one thing that is not being said is the fact that xcept for LBP and infamous all the other content has already been offered free or at a heavy discount to PS+ users, so really your PAID customers are VERY likely to own this content. WHY would u choose to recycle offers? I makes absolutely zero sense to offer your paid customers something they already own, aka nothing. PS+ users should have a different selection considering these ARE recycled offeres for them. and really LBP? who doesnt already own LBP? is it going to be game of the year edition with all the additional DLC ? if so it would be worth it otherwise most of us got it free last time we bought a console or a remote…

I will be getting inFamous & Dead Nation for PS3 and LittleBigPlanet & Modnation Racers for PSP. I am so happy! I was going to buy modnation racers for my psp yesterday, glad I didn’t!! :)

Good effort. I’ll try not to hold it against you that I already have all of those PS3 games (except Dead Nation, but I do have Zombie Apocalypse which is nearly IDENTICAL) so that offer does nothing for me. Unless, of course, you wanna give me a PSP and let me choose some of those games. (Also acceptable, the PS3 version of ModNation Racers)
