We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

Sony, I have every single one of those games already? Is there anything you can do to help those of us who were loyal enough to have already to purchase those games? If you would reimburse me for say Infamous (which I bought through the PSN) and Super Stardust HD ; that would be a compromise as it isn’t just asking you to reimburse both the higher priced games. I’m really feeling left out here and I was one of your loyal PS Plus and Qriocity customers who didn’t even leave a single comment during the whole PSN outtage. I just sat and waited patiently. Please do something to help us. We’re not just the average player who only buys Call of Duty and Madden and nothing else; who then is getting games that some of us paid $60 – $15 for. We’re the players who truly fuel you PlayStation Store and Qriocity services.

@FourthFloorTodd (6298) I’m not a Netflix user or any of the pay services offered in PSN. I am entitled to NOTHING from Sony. I was just saying for those that do have the service and not putting too much thought into all that encompasses Netflix or how it operates.
i think i found a hacker already…… i was playin mw2 online and i copied a guys class and when i did he had two primary weapons and a secondary weapon. andwhen i tried to melee attack him he didnt die…. i just thought i would post this to see if any1 else has seen this……..

I do appreciate the gifts, but I must say that for loyal customers, this kinda falls flat, since most sony fans and supporters will already have most (if not all) of those titles.
I know its free, but I feel negleted, as I have every single one of these games… So, people who don’t get sony games, get 2 for free now and people who buy these games on launch, gets nothing. This doesnt feel right at all.
As someone said before, sony has the data and is able to know who has and who has not. I believe me and everyone who owns all those titles would really appreciate other options…

I said this a long time ago, but I think we only have those options due to copy wright issues. Also, SONY needed permission from the developers of those titles to allow them to give them out for free.
I just want to say to all you peeople who did nothing but complain during the outage, see what happens! U probably went out and traded your ps3 for an xbox. Haha. If u did sorry u didn’t have faith in the BIGGEST electronics company in the world hahahaha.
If I have it my way, I would not mind having a job with sony as a computer network engineer for the PSN division.

The free DLC being requested by so many users is not Sony’s to give away, Sony’s partners have lost enough income due to this outage without Sony turning around and handing out their merchandise free-of-charge to please their customers. Is it any surprise Sony is only giving away their own merchandise in this package? It’s the only viable option, and contrary to many comments, it is NOT without cost to Sony.
Sony can “print money” into our PSN wallets. That money, when used to purchase PSN games, is indistinguishable from real money. Giving us PSN credits in place of actual software would ensure that developers were not hurt at all by the “giveaway”. Sony would be, but it was their shoddy security and bad PR practices that created a need for the “Welcome Back” program in the first place, so they should take the hit.
Before you jump all over me saying “It was the hacker’s fault! Sony is a victim!”, no. The hacker brought the system down in the first place, sure. Hackers break stuff all the time. And I’m not saying that’s ok. But it was Sony’s god awful handling of nearly every aspect of this that is/was upsetting users and driving them to alternatives, creating the need to entice them back with this program.

First of all, great job Sony for giving out these games for free, along with PlayStation plus for 30 days or 60 days for current users.
Please Sony you do have to start listening to some of the comments on these threads. I know you check through them periodically.
The people that benefit the most are newer users or far more casual users that must average out to have spent far less on full Retail Games / PSN Games and DLC to date than the users like myself who use the PS3 everyday of the week, purchase countless DLC packages and purchase those Retail games at time of release. – In other words your biggest customers.
It’s funny though how Sony are reducing prices on PS3 games so quickly these days. I for one have not purchased KillZone3 yet and won’t buy it until it’s game of the year $29.99 special… I know it will be in 6 months or less just as we all know that most retail games drop by at least 50% in 6 to 12 months time after release.
You know Sony that is killing the value of each and every one of your software titles that I purchase. Again allowing for the casual user to gain far more financial benefits than I ever will for being a confirmed PS3/Sony junkie.

Hutch they are trying their best how would you feel if someone did not like your gift you gave I bet pretty bad so if you dont like the gifts big deal just be nice and kind about it. they are giving us something even though they did nothing wrong. They never even needed to do this but they did because they care about their customers.
ADMIRALS-12, part of the problem is that most of us already have most if not all of the items they are offering as compensation, so the ppl new to ps3 thats great, but the rest of us are basically not getting any compensation.

i agree with the goofy russian a little it dosnt seem like you should GIVE US ANY GAME but you should widen the variety a little otherwise i like the plan completly but i really want a wallpaper or ps home shirt saying “I survived the psn blackout of 2011.”
Personally i think these games suck. and the ones that are actually kinda cool, i already own or have beaten and sold. Like LBP and Infamous. Though i state they suck, im happy they actually did something like this. I figured it would just be psn + for 30 days or something. Keep it up sony, and hopefully this doesnt happen again.

I was hoping more for a credit in the playstation store so I can get the new BlackOps map pack whenever it comes out. I wouldn’t mind getting infamous again, I beat it once doing it the good way, would like to try it the evil way. I’ve heard LBP is pretty cool. Very excited about the double xp weekend for BlackOps btw.

Ok what a load of crap this is. People are able to steal all of my information from my name to my credit card numbers and all I seem to get is the run-around and then a big 50 bucks worth of free garbage for this. I have been damn devoted since the first PS hit the scene and now I get this [DELETED]. Sony you knew the possibilities of this happening yet worked so lazily to fix what damage was done instead of working to prevent it from the start. I want a refund on my original purchase price of my PS3 so I may move on to the XBox.
