We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.

- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

I’m also very thankful that y’all gave us a welcome back pack when y’all could of giving us nothing. I would also like to tell everyone that’s pissed off about the games offered to stop whining and crying and just except those games as offering. It’s hard to please the general public (kids). Anyway thank you again for offering these perks.

Some of you I agree with that Wipout and Stardust are not the best games ever invented but inFAMOUS and LittleBigPlanet are fantastic games and I am satisfied with that. I would be completely satisfied with ONE game but Sony has gone above and beyond for me by offering 2/5 games. They could have said “Okay you have three arcade game choices, pick one” but no. I cannot beleve some people would have the nerve to complain that there not “new” or “I don’t like them give me something else”. You do realise that if they gave something new out then nobody would buy them because everyone will already have them. That will hurt the company that is develoving these games. Now tell me, do you STILL want a new game?

PSN has been down for a few weeks and you are getting some free things. how much more do you want? how about 10 new release titles, free movie renting for all movies for a month, and 1 year subscription to PSN plus. I see some people talking about mass effect 2 and I have something to say about it…. A month or two age, EA was giving a free copie of Mass Effect 2 for PC for free, to owners of Dragon Age 2 for PC or Xbox360… I know that EA or BioWare don’t have anything in common to Sony but, yeah, maybe this game could enter on this list wen ps store comes back online
the reason you had to have an account before the outage is because people could just make new accounts and get all the games
i own both a psp and a ps3, and this list of games are the kinda games that only a person who didnt play games wouldnt own,

1. infamous -own it… its an actual game
2. little big planet- own 1 and 2…. both are actual games
and the rest of that list are games that to me are just little nothing games, might as well be in the minis!

2.killzone liberation-own it, probably the best multiplayer sony has made themselves for a portable
and the rest meh pursuit force is a little $5 game that is over what 6 years old, who cares its so dated to me, and modnation is kiddie racing, even some dated motorstorm or gran turismo knocks it out the water.
the only games worth going for are games most people already own, from reading the comments, some people have posted, a few most if not all of em already.
you dont give people killzone 3(own it also) when theyre happy to make their own decision, might as well drop an actual amount and see where the chips fall, if theyre gonna give you 40 dollars in games then why not have it games you preferred(and more then likely didnt already own). its hard for most people that love both their ps3 and psp… i hate downloading on the psp because memory is tight, have a 16gb card and im not wasting downloads on a game that i can just have a umd of.
having to settle is what gets me, and the appreciation seems more like a take it or leave
hell youd almost think the network would internally be like,”hey dont you have this game already, i see these trophies….hmmm?” (obviously im referring to the ps3 titles, since there are no trophies for psp).
i dont really see to many people out there wasting memory on something they already own, or more then likely would never bother with in the first place

Thank you for the generous welcome back package, Sony. You didn’t have to offer or give us anything. The PSN + members and Netflix and the other pay services should have been reimbursed or extended for the time lost, and you did that. I am not a member of any of the pay programs, just a typical free PSN user. I don’t own any of the 5 game titles offered being that I have not owned the ps3 very long before the outage. So, I’m definitely downloading inFamous when the store opens back up.
Good selection. We’ve been wanting inFAMOUS and Wipeout. We have two PSPs so we’ll download the three we don’t have.
And to everyone complaining, go play your Black Ops and stab some people in the face to get out your frustration. Or do some extra homework. Your spelling and grammar leave much to be desired.
I’m still laughing at the ones that traded for an Xbox. You don’t have to feel so bad, if you don’t mind juggling discs for games like L.A. Noire,, could upgrade the memory, get a Kinect, and don’t mind paying for XBL you could have a real nice piece of crap!
So, thank you Sony, I have no love for huge corporations, but at least you’re making a good effort. I realize no matter where I go to shop online, be it Amazon or even PayPal, my information is never 100% secure. But that’s a risk I, and I alone take. Consumers need to realize this and take some responsibility for themselves.

Honestly, it’s like most of you weren’t around before online gaming was common, so you don’t know what it was like before it was around. Frankly, if you’re complaiing about free stuff then you really don’t deserve it.

flipclips, in order to play ps2 titles you need a 1st gen ps3, and for the rest of you flaming on us “complainers” about the free games offered, it’s obvious that either you haven’t had a ps3 for very long or were too cheap to buy games, yes we have a right to gripe, most of us had had these games since they first came out, why is sony giving away O L D games that we already have, worthless to us, that and we have plus accounts, and that hasn’t really been worth it in awhile anyways
This is total BS why?
First each time you sign in **PSN collects info on what GAMES are ALREADY installed** when you played and for how long you played for etc, its in the terms of service. So you (SONY)have accurate figures for the install base of these games. Apart from that:
There are only 2 BD games there and 2 crummy PSN titles, Dead Nation is a good game.
This does not making up for the potential of identity theft in the years to come, already a rising problem.
You were warned this could happen about 4 months ago.
Your heavy handed approach to hackers restoring illegally removed features probably inspiring this attack.
Some alternative suggestions.
$20 PSN credit, everyone can choose something they would like but you can put limitations like pre 2011 titles so it wont harm your bottom line.
A wider selection of games to choose from.
100 MB free Cloud save storage for everyone forever + $10 PSN credit. Stil 200 MB for PS+ users
@Reverie-2…Why would you be entitled to be compensated for Netflix ? For one, you could still watch it during the outage if you did two failed PSN sign ins. And even if that wasn’t possible you could still watch the same streaming content on your computer and/or get physical dvd’s in the mail.

Correction to my last post..sorry Reverie-2 read your post wrong. But you didn’t get compensated for the Netflix stuff, as you could still rent dvds by mail and be able to watch the same streaming content on your PC as you would on on your PS3..so no compensation there.
