Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- inFAMOUS
- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

I had much higher expectations of Sony. After all, why do we spend such high $$$ to Sony … becuase it is Sony. I use to know what I could expect from Sony. Sorry, I know you may not agree. But when I spend $2000 on a Sony TV and $400 on a PS3, I expected them to work for more than 1 year. I certainly would expect something more than a few free games. I guess I have higher expectations.
All of you who are complaining about the games we are getting for FREE think about this: YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THE GAMES
If Sony gave you a new game then the sales for that game would drop to about zero. Sony did not have to give us free games and you should be happy with what you got! Would you rather have nothing at all then a couple of FREE games?!

Okay I just had to give props to Sony for really showing us that they really do care about their customers and that they really are doing everything in their power to make things right even if it wasn’t their fault … Sony had no control over the idiots who hacked them and that being said I’m really sorry that Sony was a victim of such a serious crime. What Sony is offering is a slap in our face I’m sorry 2 games from 2007 and up and 1 month of PSN plus give me a break. They should allow us to get everything from the playstation network store for free.
Sony when are u gonna make some ps2 system data for the 250 gig? i have a bunch of ps2 games i cant play anymore because my ps3 doesnt support ps2 games, funny thing is that it plays psx games and i dont have any psx cd’s >.< and they dont really sell em anymore, they sell them at the playstation store though but my ps2 games are useless. *insert sadface here* besides that….. Any details on the playstation store yet?

Sony has given you the package like it or not it’s what you’re getting. If you have all the games already then you get a free month of PS+ If you don’t like it get over it! Your entitled to nothing! Sony doesn’t have to give you anything. You should be grateful they’ve even extended such a kind gesture to you crying ungrateful babies who think you are entitled to something more. No matter how many freebies they throw at you, you’ll never be satisfied. They aren’t going to put money into our wallets, because it would cost Sony in the billions of dollars. They still have not fixed the security issues yet and Japan will not let them start it back up there until they do so shut up Richie we have a right to gripe
Infamous and Wipeout HD costs about $50 who wouldn’t want to save that much money? But I do have an idea, maybe you guys should though in Borderlands or Mod racers just for Sony customers who have been a PS+ member BEFORE this whole outage happened? Or maybe trade the extra 30 days of PS+ for a third title.
@6203 The welcome back program is ment for those whose accounts were affected during the start of the intrusion. Seeings as how no one was able to create new accounts they were unaffected there for not elegable to the welcome back program

@6214 In case you haven’t noticed all the titles in the list are first party titles. Sony is allowed to offer those for free. But since Borderlands is a 3rd party game they are not allowed to give that out for free. Besides why would want a poor excuse for a game?
