Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- inFAMOUS
- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

if i wanted any of those games i would have bought them by now… i guess dead nation looks like it might be fun for a few minutes..BTW the bank is not giving back the money missing from my account and i’m sure alot of people are having that problem,.. oh well right?
an approx 30-40$ loaded psn wallet would have been a way better way to show customer appreciation.rather than making us choose from 5 games that most people either already have some of or like me never were interested in them to begin with.. not intrested in ps gold either, its pointless to pay 25 or so dollars just to save less than that on hand picked titles and get free themes that i dont care about or whatever..nor do i care about qriocity,.. i already have the internet and there are plenty of free services to find music on.
i guess thanks for trying but this is a customer appreciation fail as far as i am concerned, feels like we are cheaply valued customers.

I also ask “What about those of us who already HAVE those PS3 titles?” In addition, these will probably be for download. There isn’t any space left on our harddrive TO download a game. Some sort of in-store credit or coupon would have been a better idea. The PS3 games are so expensive to begin with.
HOWEVER!
The movies and free items are a win, so it’s not a TOTAL fail. I’m just saying the ‘free games’ idea should have been a credit or coupon. I mean, there are SEVERAL titles on the way: Batman, Drake, etc. Give us 25% off or something, not our pick of games we gotta download that we already have!
All in all, I’m glad to service is back up. Yay MAG.

I have to admit, I have a question about the PS3 offerings. I have all of the games listed. That being said, instead of downloading the games again (which would serve no additional benefit), wouldn’t it be a fair exchange to ask for a credit to my account equivalent to the total purchase cost of a combination of two games from the list?
And make no mistake, I’m a loyal Sony fan boy and have been for YEARS (but you all should already know that), so I’m not dogging you guys. But if the most loyal of us aren’t receiving the same value as those who may not own those titles, well that just doesn’t seem equitable.

Wow, they seriously need to give people different choices if we already own the games. They can simply check the trophies and see who does and does not have these games.
Also the Playstation Plus is a cash trap, if you do not keep up your subscription to it, the games you download from it will not work.
To quote the Playstation Plus FAQ:
“Once downloaded, the games are yours to keep and play as long as you are a member of PlayStation Plus. If your subscription lapses and then you re-subscribe, the games you have already downloaded will reactivate, so you still have access to them.”
So 30 days is a joke because you will have to keep a subscription going if you want to keep playing any games you download from Playstation Plus. It’s just a sneaky way of Sony trying to make up lost revenue.
