Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

Okay, what about the people who already own all of the games you’re giving away? What do we get? And as far as the ‘On Us’ movie rentals, what am I going to do? My original ps3 stopped working last summer, so I had to get a ‘slim’, and now I’m restricted from purchasing anything from the video side of the PS Store, even though I’m using the same profile I’ve had since 2007. You need to consider ALL options here, Sony. I look at that list above, and I think “I went through this outage just like everybody else, and I have less options than everyone else.” Try again guys.

I’d live to have a PS1/2 Classic in there as well or maybe only get one PS3 game and get an old one. I’d love to get FF7 as well as InFamous. It’d save Sony money in the long run too.

Many other people are complaining that these titles are either already bought or too old. I only have a PSP and out of those games, I already have LBP and Killzone but I’m not a big fan of racing. While it will be nice to get a few videos (please add some anime to the welcome pack) and some PS+, I don’t think many of these will be the most beneficial to me. The freedom of choice is a great thing so maybe we could get some money for our PSN accounts and choose what we want.

I was hoping since they announced this the day before PS Store usually updates (today) that they were announcing it to be ready for today. I don’t think that’s the case now but oh well.
Oh and I still wish ModNation Racers was for the PS3 too. I actually wouldn’t of cared but seeing as it is for PSP which i don’t have, and it’s already available in the PS Store as a download, it would of been nice.

This is awesome! I’m glad that Sony is putting in all this effort to gain back trust. Accidents happen, we all have them. This is so great! I only own one of those PS3 games on that list, and I’ve wanted some of the others for a while now. I don’t really know anything about PlayStation Plus, but I mean, the best things in life are free I guess.
What happened to our year subscription to the id theft program ? Since it was your fault our info got stolen because your company wasnt running any firewalls as it was stated. Way to lie to us again Sony.

they’re not going to give estimate this time, see what happened with the psn restoration estimate, we’ll have to wait, i get the feeling that well have even less info on the store restoration than the psn restoration, hope i’m wrong.
