Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

i think anonymous should do this stuff more often , no offense but look at it this way, now we are getting free games and free movies, they haven’t stolen any information from us so it’s like they said , they were trying to help people , they just did it the wrong way

The network was down for several weeks…We’re getting roughly $100 worth of free stuff. If you have a mediocre job you can make that much in a day. If you make minimum wage you can make nearly 3 times that amount in a week.

Dead Nation is a really good game! In fact, I’m glad that a few friends will be able to dl that one for free. It’s a top-down zombie shooter with some strategy thrown in. As far as I know, it was the first PSN exclusive game that had a platinum trophy (which is normally reserved for retail games). Anyway, good fun. Really good challenge. I recommend.

@ 5255 You should be happy that they give you any games at all. It clearly states in the user agreement that they dont have to provide services at all times and that they dont owe you any compensation for down time.

I have heard that wwe are going to get a free download and 30 free days of playstation plus. Is this true? If so when do we get them and will we be abke to use them on te up coming call of duty black ops map packs?

hm, I definitely think Sony is doing a top notch job at doing the best they can to show customers that they do appreciate them for sticking by the brand, that being said, having store credit, or even other choices of games for those who prove that they do in fact have the games that are being given out – like a code number from the game box, or checking their account if they downloaded it.
That being said, although I’m not thankful the outage happened in the first place, I’m thankful for the free giveaways, the subscription, movies and more being handed, and for how fast the engineering team worked to put together a network for us gamers. ^^
PS. For those of you complaining about the subscription being shady, care to give me your 30 days? I’d kindly take it if you’re complaining that it’s just a trap to get you to pay more – it’s actually not, seeing as you can just cancel a subscription, the games stay on your account, and whenever you do wanna play, you just buy 30 days, no biggie. It’s not mandatory, but it’s how PS is recovering some money, and using that money to further develop the network better. Don’t like the PS+? Go join the Wii, I’m sure soon enough they’ll even have a subscription based service soon if they already don’t. ;D
Instead of those ancient games they should have added $50-$75 to our Playstation Store wallet. But thats just my opinion.
