Now that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity services have been restored and you’re once again enjoying online gaming and entertainment, we’re happy to provide details about the “Welcome Back” appreciation program for customers in North America. We developed the program as an expression of our gratitude for your patience, support and continued loyalty during the service outage. From all of us at PlayStation, thank you and welcome back!
This package will be made available to all existing registered PlayStation Network and Qriocity users in North America (US and Canada), and will be made available shortly after we have fully restored the service. More specific details about these offers and eligibility requirements will be posted as the services go live.
All PlayStation Network customers can select two PS3 games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.

- LittleBigPlanet
- Super Stardust HD
- Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, you will be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list. The games will be available for 30 days shortly after PlayStation Store is restored and can be kept forever.
- LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
- ModNation Racers
- Pursuit Force
- Killzone Liberation
- A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
- 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non PlayStation Plus subscribers.
- Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive an additional 60 days of free subscription.
- Existing Music Unlimited Premium Trial subscription members will receive an additional 30 days of free premium subscription.
- Additional 30 days + time lost for existing members of Music Unlimited Premium/Basic subscription free of charge for existing Premium/Basic members.
- To welcome users Home, PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

LOL Sony said they would be bringing all of the features of the system back up in time. So I’m geussing game updates will be after they have everyone restored for playing online. As for the freebies, I think they are pretty cool gestures. Hell two games I already have I’ll download, and trade them in for a newer game I’ve been wanting. They cannot give away map packs, because Black Ops is not their game to do so. Games like Little Big Planet, and inFAMOUS are all Sony Computer Entertainment games. Really it’s not hard to figure out what it is they are doing.
I say thank you Sony for trying to keep the masses happy. I’ve been a proud owner of Playstations since they came out, and will continue to support them until I’m too old to play games.
Why is everyone complaining about the list of games. they could of NOT gave you all ANYTHING. And for all of you complaining saying your going to go to xbox if you dont get a certian game. *points to the door to xbox* there you go. now go. dont bring your drama here. Sony COULD of said “here you go its back up. Sorry about that.” and gave you NOTHING. So just be happy. And for me buying the PS3 DURING the outage. im happy with whatever i get.

ps3 totally beats the xbox 360, they are basically the same price (2 years xbox live will make xbox cost as much as ps3), the ps3 does everything the xbox can do, and then some. ps3 exclusives will always look better than anything xbox has to offer (killzone graphics vs halo graphics, for example), and ps3 totally wins when it comes to movies. ps3’s blu-ray player can play much higher quality videos than hd dvd and netflix streaming on the xbox, and ps3 has netflix streaming too.
Too bad I already have LBP :( Dead Nation and Infamous, then :P

my husband is a plus member… a paying member unlike all psn users and all we get is an extra 2 months? sure the games are nice but we already have them… i just feel like there should be more available to PLUS members :(

total $115 per person.

I was happy that they are actually giving out legit games and not minis. A lot of people were talking about cross chat being part of the package but if sony didn’t feel like know was the time im ok with that. Once again sony, thanx a bunch and I will always be loyal to sony and playstatoin.

the scary part is that I know many die hard 360 users. Each one of them believes that their servers are invulnerable. I just want to see someone hac them just to show them that absolutely no system is secure. If you pay for it or not. If you try hard enough, you can hack the pentagon or even the CIA.

I don’t wanna sound greedy but, if you are gonna make an attempt to please us why such a sort list? They must know that many os PS3 owners have the majority if not all of those games. I would have just taken the dollar value of two of those games and put it in our PSN wallets. Then we could choose what we wanted. Obviously they did not talk to the people about what they thought would be a good idea for the welcome back package. I would really think about changing your plan Sony before you release this and cause more trouble for yoursleves because you know the X-Boxers will be all over this. Anyway, I am happy that PSN is back up.
